If I would have sold at the high, and bought at the low, I would be a board member... oh well... I never saw the drop down to .2 coming... but I was blinded by greed.

...as were many people here.  January to July of 2013 were a great time.

I conclude that NO ONE - at least here - has any tangible proof about Gen 3's progress. The current share price is incredibly high and it's a complete gamble, one with chances of a big loss and relatively little gain.

"... our chips are still on track of delivery in March. ..." [1]

[1]

Although with unexpected obstacles, timing rearrangements and delays, our chips are still on track of delivery in March. This thread for releasing information of chips to public, with the intention of getting enough (direct) customers or (indirect) resellers aware before actual chips are produced.

Asicminer was so summer '13.

Summer of 2013 is when I should have sold (when the price reached 5 BTC per share). Cry

It's amazing to me that the we are still in the .6's, 1600PH of Gen3 on it's way.  That's 40 x the current hash power of the entire bitcoin network.

Take a moment to digest that.

Please note that the total hashing power of gen 3 won't be online at once. And we don't know how fast the entire network hashing power grows.

I have been meaning to research the reason, but Washington state has really REALLY cheep electricity.  Even with air cooling he can run those things far longer then most people could afford to.

The reason is great conditions for hydroelectric power (Grand Coulee Dam, etc.).
