So what do we know?

They manufactured 60,000Th last year.
They committed 5,000Th to the AMHash project
They auctioned 3,000Th through HL
They were planning on 1/3 holdback for Gen4 dev/production. (from chip sales)
They were planning on 2/3 distribution of dividends. (from chip sales)
Hoping dividends would resume about the time they got sample chips in December.
Last auction of 280Th worth of tubes.

Any idea how many Prismas & Tubes were sold?

Another thing to remember about AMHash is that unsold hashing power is self-mining for AM.

It just seems off to me, the math, if there was any. But from what I can tell AM sells chips to amhash, or not?
I've heard they do, and I've heard they ARE amhash which would mean they sell them to themselves which means they haven't sold them. Fine. So they are selling has rate. Do you see where this is going?

I can't tell what is going on. I'd like some clarity.

So am sells has rate or am sells chips? It doesn't seem kosher somehow. I know what I'm like, I could totally be missing some obvious thing, but
I like to see the numbers (helps me "get it")
And I fight back when disabused.

I'm goin offline for a while.
Peace

You're over thinking this.

Asicminer wanted to sell hardware/hashrate via cloudmining so they created a cloudmining website. That's all there is to it.

AMhash is not a company, it's just a name.

Yes, seems like, you totally be missing some obvious thing - AM is selling chips, and hashrate.
Chips to manufacturers, and hashrate of its own hardware in AMHash cloud mining. Why is selling hashrate instead of self-mining, and why there are no dividends? I think it's b/c gen3 chips (efficiency and sales) aren't performing as expected, and AM needed cash fast for gen4. That split of 2/3 to divs, and 1/3 to gen4, ended like 1/1 to funding gen4.

Nobody is demanding everybody believe in 6 month old promises, I'm simply telling *you* (again) to stop talking nonsense about AM setting up multiple companies to syphon off funds.

Also, if you look at what all the other manufacturers are doing and saying, you will realise that cloud mining is the future of bitcoin mining.

@BitThink thank you

@Mabsark AMhash exists so that AM can keep their head above water, just barely. I guess some who shelled out more btc to get hashes from them saw a little profit. And FC and co. salaries were paid. I'm glad they're all doing fine. Actually sounds like they are desperately trying to hang on to a dwindling concern. It's hard squeezing the competition when bit fury has you pinned under their ten ton big toe I suppose.

Who the fuck knows? Can only guess because there is no news. Just the blather in here, and the looming threat of bit fury.

AM said had enough funds to run for "a very long time" what does that even mean? Because the next chip could be fucked still. Lots of things could happen.

You can jump up and down and demand everyone believe 6 month old promises, missed projections, surprise change of business models that need to be Hidden from shareholders until implamented. I would like to actually Know what's going on, what has been going on and what will be going on for future. Some progress is always good, but we can't even know where to? Amhash seems like it is a last resort. Better than sudden death, for FC I suppose. End result is the same for holders of AM. Is there some kind of strategy for the (possibly) long winter ahead? The spreadsheets etc would go a long way towards explaining that, and don't tell me they have more important things to do. All aspects of this business are important. If they aren't already looking at spreadsheets they are doing it wrong. If they are keeping an eye on how the financials are running, why can't we see?
Answer me that answer man

We don't know a thing about the deal between am and amhash, as there are no financials. Nothing.
It's great that the new chips look good, who's going to buy them? Amhash? Then reinvest again?
The second slide clearly has the word "lab coin" on it. Why? There was zero explication about that. You would think he might tell us "that was in reference to..." But it just hangs there and makes me uncomfortable.
I know as little as you and the rest of us. "Friedcat said" is wearing pretty thin. This isn't a fan club. If you want us to blindly adore all mighty friedcat, let him produce some numbers, or profits, or explanations.
He already blew his first mover advantage ages ago, what else is he going to fail at?
Sorry if I'm not a cheerleading zombie, there's nothing to cheer about.
promises ain't enough

I'm not asking you to ignore facts, I'm telling you to stop making shit up.

We do know a thing or two about the relationship between AM and AMHash. AMHash is not a side company, it is an AM service just like Prismas are an AM product. They don't buy AM chips (because they are AM), they sell them in the form of Gh/s contracts. Rockminer are being paid a commission to manage sales and support while AM maintains and controls the farm. You've been told this before.

As for the mention of "labcoin" on that slide, your fears about that are completely idiotic. What did you think it was saying? That AM had invested 200 BTC in Labcoin or something just as ridiculous?

The more FC stays away, and the more often I see AM create new side-companies whilst divs never materialize, the more my mind keeps going back to the salon last summer. Most notably one set of slides seen in this post here https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.8154101

look at the second slide.

How many times do you need to be told to stop repeating this nonsense? You know AM haven't set up any "side-companies" at all so stop spreading such nonsense.

Also, what do you that slide says?

Crypto is the separation of Power and State.
Q: We choose to share both the risks and the profits to investors willing to take them.

Hi friendcat,

At long last, your loyal early investors at the Carnth's MININGCO.ETF need to take their share of the profit.

Unfortunately we cannot do this until you transfer the shares to their new owner.

We are happy you are so busy with fame and fortune, but we have been waiting for 6 weeks.  Please do it now!

Thanks,

iCEBREAKER (on behalf of all MININGCO.ETF investors)

PS  If you could also transfer my personal shares to the new address I send via PM, that would also be appreciated.   Grin

I sent the Signed transfer for AM shares to firedcat back on Dec 8.
I haven't heard anything about AM since then.

I had a transfer out on Nov 21 that got done on Dec 22.
Another Oct 6 that got done on Nov 1.
And, another on Aug 13 that got done on Aug 22.

It looks like transfers happen once per month.

If transfers happen once a month, why wasn't Carnth's request honored on Dec 22 or Jan 22?

Maybe only Havelock stuff is done on the 22nd?

I've got an alarm set to alarm me every time friedcat posts something. But you're right, I think the alarm just got some hiccups and somehow misinterpreted some of his old posts as new ones...

Maybe Theymos was restoring some posts from the outage?

Hey guys, my friedcat alarm just went off, but I can't see any new posts. He must've deleted them immediately. He sometimes did that kind of stunt before. So, does anyone have a copy or summary of the posts?

friedcat alarm?

His profile says he was last on line at January 26, 2015, 11:46:31 AM. If he made just a post and instantly deleted it that last online date would show today's date.

I've been using this bitcointalk Alerter app for alerts when users post. Which has been working well for me.

I was looking at my AM spreadsheet tonight.
There are 2 shares of AM I bought for 4 BTC each.
And, 1 share for 4.2 BTC.

I died a little inside.

Well if you pretend Bitcoin was only worth between $70 and $100 when you made the purchase it might be a little easier to take.  Also if you buy another 12.2 Bitcoin worth today at 0.1BTC per share, you can lower your average buy price to 0.1952 BTC and when the share value goes to 0.1952 BTC with a successful BE300 miner announcement you can sell and get all your bitcoins back. Wink

That sure is a lot of ifs...  Tongue
