Which Bitcoin wallet is the best?
You need Bitcoin wallet for what device and for what purpose?
For desktop computers one of the best options is Electrum wallet, it's open source, easy to use, and you can even connect it with hardware wallets like Trezor, ledger, etc.
If you want to be extra secure than you can use this wallets to create cold storage for storing larger amount of coins.
For smaller amount of money you can use mobile wallets on smartphones, but this should be used only as pocket money.
There isn't one universal solution for everyone and you can even combine several wallets depending on situation you are in.

Before using any wallet you can check out walletscrutiny website and see if they are reproducible or not:

or alternative website is bitcoinbinary.:

In my opinion:

- BlueWallet for a mobile wallet
- Wasabi for a desktop wallet
- A Ledger/Trezor hardware wallet for long-term holding

Ultimately, what the "best" wallet is is totally subjective. But one thing's for sure, 99% of bitcoin holders should grab a reputable hardware wallet.

The only choice for a wallet should be a hardware wallet and nothing else.

And electrum if you need a wallet for small deposits.

For newbies I would definitely recommend the electrum wallet and if you have a PC you can go with the official Bitcoin core wallet, or just buy a hardware wallet, these are the best options suitable for newbies, I've never bother using these though I started using trust wallet years ago and I still use it till date, no hacks or loss of fund so far.

Honestly if you have to ask. You should just keep it on an exchange for now until you do some research.

On the exchange make sure you use a unique password and enable 2FA. And make sure 2FA is not by SMS and you should be fine. Sure its not 100% keeping on an exchange but its better than using some wallet online and you end up getting a virus and getting it stolen.

You asked the question in the wrong board though. That's why you are not getting enough responses

Your first choice would definity be an open source hardware wallet like Trezor
Here is a list of Open Source Hardware Wallets

Alternative there are open source software wallets that are popular like Electrum (https://electrum.org)
it sometimes also depends on your preference: This should guide you - https://bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-wallet

We could recommend a lot of stuff and a lot of wallets that you could try and determine the best wallet for you, but in general, what I think is that the best wallet to have is the one you own, meaning you generate the seed phrases. You have kept it in secure storage whenever you need it.
