OK during the time he has been gambling he has lost $8000 and since when did he start gambling was it over a year? How can an unemployed person play gambling? Did he work and then use his wages to gamble?

Do his parents still give him pocket money and then the teenager uses it to gamble? I feel sad to hear this story.

Is this a way to a good life?
Where can you judge that this is a good way of life? I still think gambling is a bad thing for teenagers.

Is there any benefit that comes with starting gambling at a very young age?
If we talk about benefits at a young age, it's still OK to say there are benefits...
If young people are already involved in gambling then there is misery.

Is there any benefit that comes with starting gambling at a very young age?

Not sure what age did I start gambling, but from what I recall, I might start when me and my friends will bring cards in my high school days and started to play poker. So pretty much at a young age. And then we move to sports betting, and that time we don't bet on sports shop or something, it's just 1:1 betting that's it.

I think one benefit if you started young in sports betting is that you learn the sports itself and somewhat you become a expert. And as you grow along, then you have that experience tuck under your belt and you can read teams already and which one to bet good specially if they are the underdog.

The first question is, where would that kid get the money? $8000 seems not an easy amount to earn, let alone waste it to gambling. That amount is like a few months' net salary, and then here's a kid who would willing to lose it in gambling without any hesitation.
Well, it's not right to get angry at him, maybe he has rich parents. Kids doesn't know the worth of money until their the ones earning it.
Me? I started gambling when I was around 14, but that was just a small amount. I'd spend $1-2 dollar in the local carnival.

He's a school dropout, jobless, and claim to have lost over $8000 to gambling ever since he started, he's into crypto, so yeah, he said he plays mostly on crypto casinos online.
I don't know how true the information he gave you seem to be true , but I sense that he may be actually lieing because how can a 13 to 14 year old boy spent over $8k in gambling? And already according to the information he is a school dropout. How on earth can a school dropout spent over $8k in gambling?

Is there any benefit that comes with starting gambling at a very young age?
Without a second thoughts there is no benefit that for an underage child to Start gambling at a goung age. It is not advisable atol. It will affect their lifestyle as they grew with it.

You did not mention where did he get this $8k that he lost from gambling; I assume from his parent's allowance at 14 yet you lose that huge amount of money, We can consider this as gambling addiction, and at that age he can get into a life of a thugs because he needs to sustain his addiction

I felt pity for him and very angry with him at the same time...
I asked if he has any investment in crypto or else and he said no, that he is always gambling with any money comes his way... Is this a way to a good life?
The kid is misguided, and he should be confined at a rehabilitation facility for children. He has lost control and if there's no interference, his life is lost and there will be no future ahead of him as he is considered wasted

Gambling have no place in a fertile mind because they have no means to sustain themselves, and they should enjoy their youth and educate themselves; children are the nation's hope; if we give up on them, we lose out hope.

Spent $8000 on gambling at 14 years old, where did that money come from? Did he get it from his parents or did he earn it from other cryptos like he joined an airdrop or something?
I am very surprised to see a child already addicted to gambling, not in school, but can spend a lot of money on gambling, is he not supervised by his parents?
Profit? You yourself can see how the teenager has lost a lot of money where is the profit? In fact, we think this is a bad thing that can destroy the future of his life.

Xup ladies gents, it's a genuine question..

At what age did you start gambling and how was the experience?

I was 20 years old when I was introduced to gambling. From the age of 20 to the age now is not too far. In conclusion, I can't fully say that I am in a losing position as well as in a profitable position because of the number of wins I get.
Regarding the experience while active, there are many. I understand how challenging it is and how to control myself when faced with challenges that are driven to continue playing.

I started gambling at the age of 20 due to peer pressure, a lot of young people in this generation are getting into this lifestyle at a way younger age than this. It's quite disheartening that teenagers less than 15 are allowed to walk into gambling centers, it's hard for them to access most gambling sites due to age restriction so they make use of bet shops. Peer pressure is a major factor when it comes to Gambling and it has a lot of negative effects. I have been gambling for a very long time and I can't really say that my wins are more than my losses.

I am curious how a jobless 12 or 13 year old was able to raise $8000 to gamble with (although at that age you cannot be referred to as 'jobless' as you are not meant to have a job). The kid obviously needs professional help and depending on what country you are, the parents should be reported to social services.

Is there any benefit that comes with starting gambling at a very young age?
No, that is the reason there is an age limit on gambling. You are at a high risk of getting addicted and also at a risk of the casino not paying you if you get a huge win.

Totally the same question that i do have in mind is on how a teen would be having that money considering that you are still that dependent into your parents on these age bracket,
not unless if you do have some investments or those coins that you have secretly stashed and able to make yourself having tons of money. It will really be that too impossible that you could
be having money into this kind of particular moment in life when we are still young on which it will really be that having some exemption basing up into the things i do mentioned above.
These kids wont really be that matured enough thinking about on securing their money, on the moment that they would be having that kind of thinking on having some enjoyment or leisure with gambling
then they would be simply doing it no matter what.

When I began gambling I was not aware that there was an age limit because nobody told me or stopped me from gambling. I started gambling at seventeen immediately after I left high school. It was a physical bet shop and didn't face any opposition. Maybe since I was just one year less than the gambling age, I didn't look like an underage.

During my early gambling days, I was not a constant gambler. I usually go to bet maybe once in a long time, hence I might not be able to talk much about my experience. However, some young gamblers might argue that  early gambling will make them gain more experience and become masters of the game. But I think it is very dangerous for young children to gamble. They are easily hooked to gambling and end up with gambling disorders at that tender age.

I am so curious to know what exactly the young guy is involved in in cryptocurrency to have built such balls to have cumulatively gambled away such an amount of money $8000 is equivalent to around 13.8 million naira in my local currency and such an amount of money does not easily come by so either two things is at stake here, either the boy is involved in some fraud or stolen that money from his parent, this is not even a possibility since you mentioned that he is a school drop out that means his parents must be poor not to have such amount of money, so either crime or crime that could generate such huge amount to such a kid.

Lastly, this kid is somewhat in dip addiction to gambling and even possibly drugs at such a young age, gambling alone can not have such an impact on such a young kid to have such a hardened mindset, so sure a lot needs to be done to save that kid, but in all, underage gambling innocent have so much severe impact and should be avoided to at least when someone reaches 18+.

Yes when you got addicted at young age, you'll not be addicted to it again in the adult stage  Grin  I'm not even joking.

I started gambling when I was also just a kid. Most probably 4th grader, I couldn't remember but we as cousins gather together every Sunday in my Aunts house, we just play cards and just bet our pennies as we turned high school we are not anymore too eager to play cards to anyone. We've done it all I guess.
almost all gambler started off from card gambling and most times, we just do it without recognizing the name of what we are doing. is it possible to become addicted to card gambling when you are at a tender age? I'm of a typical African home that are completely strict on how you moderate between play and schoolwork. they make it compulsory that you don't play card when school is in session except during the holidays and because of that, I doubt theirs a reason to believe that i got addicted at an early age.

He's a school dropout, jobless, and claim to have lost over $8000 to gambling ever since he started, he's into crypto, so yeah, he said he plays mostly on crypto casinos online.
there's a lot of reason to believe that you are mixing this story up most especially when you are of the opinion that he is a teenager that's barely 12 years of age. which 12-year-old kid can afford to gamble with $8000 and still haves the knowledge of crypto and is still considered a school drop out? meaning at 12 he has already gotten admision to the university and has droppeed out?

What type of questions are these?

You are asking for the answer already can be answered without being asked. No matter what age, gambling is bad! even we as gambler know the responsibility to at least avoiding someone to gambling (especially, if the person is not a gambler).

Your story sounds very strange and ludicrous, are you sure you are not mixing up the age here, a 12 year old kid isn't supposed to have a job, so they cannot be called jobless, and then $8000, really?
Could be, If you have rich parent or started to stealing or selling their family stuff.

I started gambling well above the minimum age restriction for gambling in my country, i never had the urge to gamble as an underage, i didn't even understand what it was, prolly cause my concern was only on things befitting my age at the time.

You may likely want to find out why I am asking this question, well, today, I came across someone, a younger teenager who should be around 12 or 13, but he claimed to be 14, we got talking like we friends not minding I am very much older than him (my first daughter is 8 already)..

He's a school dropout, jobless, and claim to have lost over $8000 to gambling ever since he started, he's into crypto, so yeah, he said he plays mostly on crypto casinos online.

We've discussed extensively about underaged gambling on this board, but today, I was very surprised coming across this teenager who is already ruining his life with gambling at such a young age, I felt pity for him and very angry with him at the same time...
I asked if he has any investment in crypto or else where, he said no, that he is always gambling with any money comes his way... Is this a way to a good life?
