Please excuse what may be an ignorant question, but are these multiple auctions First in First Out, or Last in First Out?

The only thing that makes sense here is first in last out.... For example I bid 0.017BTC first. There were 3 other 0.017BTC bids. Now we have sunny bidding 0.018BTC and it should knock out Darker45.
