I guess so...

I wonder, is it possible to trade in our higher serial numbers bought on the first day of release for the lower ones that are unsold in this auction?

I'll place a total of 9 bids at .65 each.  I already have 3 bids on 11,12 and 13, so the next 6 bids are for the next lowest numbers:
T00014
T00015
T00017
T00021
T00023
T00024
If I'm outbid on any of these 9 slots, just move my bid for the next lowest open slot at no more than .65 and no more than a total of 9 bids.  I will be away for the end of auction so I won't watch it then.  If there are no more spots open at .65 then I don't bid and my up to 9 slots get reduced accordingly.
Thank you!

Will do!  Wink Wink Wink

Hi, thank you for posting a photograph of your coin. We inspect all coins before they are sent out to ensure their quality. At the same time, though, a few scuffs, nicks, hairline scratches or other minor flaws might be visible on the surface of your coins.

Your correct, the otherside - same coin - also got a scratch.
How much worse need it to become before it wont pass inspection ?  This coin also got a dark spot.

It worries me to bid on a coin that will be in the same condition.

I ordered this coin as part of several, for some users of this forum. I did not check every individual coin before sending them on, I just packaged them up and sent them on their way. klaaas informed me of this defective coin when he received it. To be honest, I would not have been happy receiving this coin either, it is obviously defective and should not have passed quality control.

I actually refunded klaaas 0.05 BTC out of my own pocket for this, in effect giving him a premium free coin. I asked BTCC for a refund of the premium or a discount code for this specific coin, and have not received either of those, though I was told I would at least get a discount code. I find this to be poor customer service that I have received neither of these things.

There are some issues that have been raised already, such as the fact that users that bought these coins from you on the first day of release hoping for low serial numbers.. This obviously did not happen - you chose to keep back these low numbers for this auction without informing us of this. This is pretty poor on your part, BTCC.
I also had to wait in excess of 3 weeks for a refund for over-charged shipping, and had to chase this up a few times before receiving it. I am also now 0.05 BTC out of pocket because I chose to be the "good guy", and refund a user the premium for a damaged coin. Sending just one coin back for replacement, when the premium is so low, is just not cost effective. The least you could do is supply me with a discount code for future use.

Anyway, good luck with the auction.

Thanks

Is there no indication of the coin serial number other than under the hologram? The only problem I see with this is that the coin won't be able to be sold as a premium collectors item once peeled seeing as that there'll be no indication of the coin actually being coin T1. The only way this coin can then retain its value/premium of being T1 is if it remains intact.

That is the whole point of this experiment....

Was wanting to know if you would consider auctioning off the damaged coins. If so are they loadable? Just incase I'll bid T2 .65

T2 is not in the list means is not available to be bid on.

Looks like inspection failure.  You should replace the coin BTCC especially with a crack in the coin like the picture above.

How is your inspection before you send out coins ?

Hi, thank you for posting a photograph of your coin. We inspect all coins before they are sent out to ensure their quality. At the same time, though, a few scuffs, nicks, hairline scratches or other minor flaws might be visible on the surface of your coins. These result from the process of making titanium coins. Titanium is the hardest naturally occurring metal, so striking titanium coins it is very difficult and imperfections cannot be avoided.
