Banning all new members from bidding isn’t the most fair of practices. You should allow lower ranked members to bid so long as they prove that they have said funds in an address by signing a message and verifying the legitimacy of their bid. I think that’s the fairest approach. Just my 2 cents.

I agree we were all newbies and juniors at some point.  To each their own, but i dont have an issue with newer members bidding on my stuff so long as they verify they are legit.  Or put a stipulation in that they have to send a fractional amount in to an escrow that is non refundable if they bail on the auction if they win it.

Why wouldn't it be?  At one point everyone starts off as a newbie.  My ebay search for Satori coins brought me here.  If we need more rigor around valid bids and users, then posting messages on a forum for a timed, online auction is probably not the most secure method.  There's still over a day left for anyone to post a higher bid.  So, rather than questioning if someone else's bid is valid, feel free to post your own bid if you're interested.

Reminds me of a certain Cascoinking ...  Roll Eyes
That was a malicious user who bid on his own auctions with alt account to drive the item price up, and seller didn't sell to 2nd highest bid.

I'm not saying this is what you do, but that bid from an account with only 3 posts is questionable.
Since it outbids bill gator, I asked, what are you going to do about that ? Are you going to accept the 2nd highest bid in case this user doesn't reply ?
What will you do to prevent this kind of abuse ?

We trust you, the seller, since there is an escrow involved. All the rest is questionable.
I'm not accusing you of anything, just trying to figure out how this will end.

You know why it wouldn't be. You are acting as though there is no reason for anybody to hold any skepticism about your bid. We have been hurt in the past and you hopefully can understand where we are coming from when newbies regularly screw up auctions and raffles for everyone else.

It would be extraordinarily helpful if you were able to provide a signed message that includes your bid, username and date from an address that holds at least your bid amount for verification. This would ease everybody up a bit, I'm sure. We welcome newbies, but certain users prohibit them from participating in their sales threads, because they regularly come with more headaches than they are worth. Not saying this is the case, but if you are serious about your bid there are ways to prove it.

Is this bid considered valid ?
Given the rank of the bidder, this bid should be secured to be considered valid.
Or maybe OP, do you agree to sell to 2nd highest bid in case this one isn't honored ?

The Stone the masons rejected was the cornerstone.
It looks like all of these coins were funded by the same transaction, and all only have that single transaction in their history. Yet, some of the coins have Super Bitcoin, and some of them do not. Can you help me understand why that might be?

Specifically :

022736
1Q6sxgAvsKM4xFXqSogpRB5KaA4Rk5HxrB

022721
19PybHNfvXG2muju7eMs5a5XnJQ3eaBQKL

Are missing Super Bitcoin and I can't figure it out.

The value is about $6 for one super BTC

The amount is so small it does not show in $..it would  be $0.00628..the site does not show past the 1 cent range.

Its less than one cent. But there is 0.001 SuperBTC as you can see.

Must've just been an API hang-up or something. Was showing it wrong, but now it's there.. It was showing the amount of Super Bitcoin as 0, not the $ amount, but the amount of Super Bitcoin. I appreciate all the info though krogo, it's been very helpful.

Can someone clarify (not that it is imminently important), due to the serial numbers of these coins does that mean they do not have Bitcoin Gold?

Anything higher than serial 30500 doesn't have BCH and is considered "postfork".
I don't know for sure for the rest of the forks but I think prefork have Bitcoin gold / Bitcoin Diamond / etc etc ...

Can someone clarify (not that it is imminently important), due to the serial numbers of these coins does that mean they do not have Bitcoin Gold? I read somewhere that it was like serials 30000-50000 that have BTG.
None of them have any imperfections, do they? (wrinkled stickers, scratches, etc.)

I'll bid 0.051BTC and we'll be using Minerjones or another reputable escrow if I win. I'm not supposed to be buying anymore collectibles, but maybe I can make an exception.

You can check here when coins were loaded.

https://satoricoin.jp/en/bitcoin.php

Then find out when the Bitcoin Gold fork happened and you can compare loading dates and know if they have it or not.

If he says prefork, then it means these chips have all the coins added with the forks later on, so yes, bitcoin cash, bitcoin gold etc etc

You can place the public address here and find out for yourself too>> https://www.forkexplorer.com

So for example satori chip 022718 the public addy is 122x993NUVJHSymcP9CzNrhScZ36m6s57F
 https://www.forkexplorer.com/?wallet=122x993NUVJHSymcP9CzNrhScZ36m6s57F

And if you go here you can see all the dates for all the forks>>>>>> http://www.findmycoins.ninja/
