I think the main thing do not panic, all will be well
Indeed. It takes time to design, build and implement a nascent new technology like ETH.

What's crazy is how the price rebounded so quickly.

Right? For some moments when the chatter came up about the hack, I tried looking at ETH prices and couldn't discern anything more than a blip. I think it speaks volumes against the naysayers of ETH. Not an advocate myself, but looking to support an alt with substance and you have to give some credit to the tenacity of ETH!

Just shows the strong belief and potential in Ethereum and Augur. Luckily I managed to bag some more on the trough.

So basically looks like - the hacker is tracked right now, according to this article

These exchanges must have at least his IP address.
If the hacker wasn't using the encrypt connection, and it will be possible for track them, but the different word the hacker use the encrypt connection and may they use the mixer for that? I don't think the hacker will be sending it into their wallet for directly. Everyone can trace him maybe.

Whoever did this knows what they are doing. There is zero chance that they were using their real IP address.
It will be very hard to track them. The only chance of finding them is attempting to follow transactions and look for large withdraws of Bitcoin.
But it will take a lot of work, looking at multiple accounts, exchanges and mixing services. Eventually if they try and cash out to a fiat currency, it may be possible to tie a transaction to a real identity.
But they arent stupid, and they will be living in some county like Russia where its hard to prosecute them from a foreign county anyways.
It will take a big mistake to get caught.

Will it be his real IP address? With a hack this big he has to spend some money to go to another town and connect to the internet from there. He will also use a VPN and Tor to hide his tracks. Once all the bitcoins he stole goes to different bitcoin mixing services, it will be really hard to track him now.

This was a professional hacking job. Do you think even if they have the IP they will catch the hackers? I don't think so.

Another "incident" in the Ethereum Umbrella?  Who would had funk?  Could had fooled me once, twice, three, four, five times but the sixth time?   Shocked
Yeah Bitcoin has never ever been hacked. Besides this is the most galling attempt at fud from one of the largest shitpost trolls as there as yet been no proof of a hack. But don't let anything like proof get in your way of posting downright sensationalist claptrap lies. Eh?

"I don't trust anyone in Crypto"

it looks to me thats its fake and it was made for market price manipulation

What is the matter with you? It is all true. Bo Shen is one of the heads of Fenbushi Capital. So it is doubtful he is the one making all those tweets. He was hacked. That is the only explanation why. I do not think he is a person who will do something like this just to manipulate the price of ETH and REP.

What is fishy is the hacker's actions. If his motivation was to hack and steal, why would he make all those stupid tweets? Why is he taking the risk of exposing himself. Something tells me the hacker has another agenda.

I don't trust anyone in Crypto, there is high probability that this is a staged hack, like the Bitfinex hack which allowed some people to short Bitcoin. Lack of adequate investigation in Crypto space is making market manipulation through hacking to thrive

Wonder if it's true like in other crime that the criminals have to brag eventually about what they did.

I just read about this on coindesk facebook. What's bad is that the hackers plan on continuing this shit. Its bad for business and bad for crypto.
