I've applied to get the Auroracoin symbol added to Font Awesome.

Would be great if you guys could help and +1 on the issue there to put more weight on it. Smiley

AUR is also listed on Cryptopia Exchange.
https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/Exchange

Never heard about this exchange. Anyone here know if this exchange can be trusted?

My first impression would be to be cautious with this one... Based on feeling, no facts!

It is legit with lots of users and can be trusted. I've been trading at cryptopia for few months without problem.

I have traded on them for quite a while now also.
I haven't done much in regard to volume, but have never had a problem with them.

on http://aurarad.is/sjodurinn/# it says :
35% the fund should be spent to support merchants who accept Auroracoin.

What do you mean by support to merchants ?

In more simple words. It's intended use is to create incentive for merchants to accept Auroracoin.

My idea is to pay merchants in Iceland who accept Auroracoin and have registered with the foundation 1% - 2% of their monthly volume (turnover) for the market risk they are taking by accepting Auroracoin.

The details of how much and how we will implement this has not been finalized.

Supporting merchants would be actively investing in tools for accepting AUR, but also supporting campaigns for merchants. Maybe even providing additional incentives to bring new customers or assisting in marketing.

Merchants are a vital part of Auroracoins success. What's the use of possessing this means of payment if you can't spend it anywhere? This is why we reserve a good portion of the funds to support merchants...

Damn, having hard time to withdraw from Cryptsy.  Uncomplete amount, pending request, probably pure lie from support...

I would say that for the icelandic exchange, transparency and ethic should be the main focus.  What about a way to know at each single time the exchange liquidity ?  Or third part audit ?  I can just imagine where crypto would be without Mt-Gox, Mintpal, Silkroad and so affairs.  Dogs eat dogs.  I would play baseball with some criminal faces Sad.

what wallets belong to the foundation ?

The official info about the M1 fund is on the foundation page http://aurarad.is/sjodurinn/
Sorry it's not in English but it does list the addresses and when something will be spent from the funds it will be logged here. Hope Google translate will be enough for you non Icelandic speakers for now but we do intend to have this information in the English section of the foundation page.

Well, i just got some coin in my wallet - but a very thinny part.  Like only 12-13% of what I asked.  Why ?  And what can I do ?

did they charge you the withdrawal fee on the 100% or just the part you actually received?

Exactly, this is what cryptsy is doing. You make a withdrawel, the substract 0,5% fee, but send only halve of the coins, so you paid a 1,0% fee. I made a complaint over 10 times, never got a proper answer or a refund. Further did the substract 20% or so for 2 times when I withdrew DGB, never got any coin back. Just to give you a view how things are being handled at cryptsy.

Thats Why i am Leaving that Place. So where do we trade aur/btc?

That would leave us bter.com and btcpool.exchange. Guess we really need to start asking bittrex.com and poloniex.com to add us...
