Okay final post as the owner of this gear.  I sold it locally  to a friend of buysolar.

He saw it on youtube and said it was a good fit for his basement .

I like this gear  it was a smart design once I dropped settings on msi afterburner  I cut watts from 1500 to 1025  hashing at 3100 sols.

Works very well.

The builder autominer.at  is going to use an i3 vs the celeron  and use 2x 4gb sticks of ram vs 1x 4gb stick of ram/

I did 2 mods to it.  I went from 4gb ram to 16gb ram  since I had a lot of ram on hand.   It only needs 8gb.

It had 2 fans that are 200mm  one pulled 148 cfm the other pulled 128 cfm.

So I purchased a second 148 cfm fan  from newegg.

Do gpu runs over 70 c  in a 80f basement

Most run  at 58-62c in my friends basement.

Next time I pop over his place I will photo it.  If you can buy these I would say  it is good. especially if you are a builder your self as you could then make a second or third on for yourself.

I would love to have 10x zotac  1070ti minis in my copy build  vs  13x 1060 zotacs.

Of course no one can get cards but that is another story.  Maybe in the fall.

Updates  gear runs smoothly.  I pulled front grill off  and it dropped temps  2-3 c on every card as it allows for better air flow.

https://www.nicehash.com/miner/3QPFEdX8rtXHoVZHct5eUbp7AK1t1vRMfL

it does about 25-30usd  a day.  mining zec at nicehash.

I am using 25 kwatts a day = about 3 usd.

So I net 22 to 27 a day.  Roi is a ways off  maybe 250 days.  But all the gear is warrantied.  It is quiet.  So Pretty good.

That´s weird, it should be doing around 30 USD/day for a 5-6 month ROI without residual value...
If you take the residual value into account it should even be only 4 months... but 8,3 months seems a lot to me...
Are you mining ZCL or ZEC?

zec but I down clocked  to 60% tdp.  that dropped watts from 1500 to 1025  also dropped haste from 3500 to 3100

but 30% less power for 11% less hash is worth it to do.

Quick question, how do you set Nicehash to only mine a certain algo?

it is slow to do

as you need to do it for each and every gpu

13 of them

and each gpu has about 15 choices to benchmark

I will photo it

 https://i.imgu/AuDHDKR.jpg

https://i.imgcom/zB19Sf0.jpg

https://i.imgum/VLlkPmN.jpg

start here click and all gpus along with cpu appear.
you do not do the cpu

here is next page
note cpu is not marked
go to right of this screen shot not visible do not click benchmark all click the arrow on the gpu 1 line

if you did it correct only gpu 1 appears  with lots of choices just do equihash the first choice and make sure the many other choice are left off
do this for all 13 gpus 1 at a time it will take more then 10 minutes I did each benchmark for only eguihash 13 times on quick setting

So Strange. I do not have the ability to check or uncheck algo in mining details. Im running the same NH as you.

are you running msi afterburner?

If you are  look for polling time  stock is 1000

this  slows all responses  as cpu struggles due to 13 gpus + intel gpu

set polling time to 15000

then the screen will respond  much faster.

If you need a photo of how to do polling time I can do that.

I found a good price  on a fully new case  with zero mods on newegg website it is in white  it is on a sale + a rebate.

I purchased it for spare parts and to make a new build.

Faster could be in Nicehash Legacy, you don't benchmark and only fill a hashrate in Wink Is it in Nicehash 2.x not possbile?

It is possible.  I just have a lot going on that  I only tried to get this to run simply and effectively.
I just now set it to be on a seperate nicehash account

https://www.nicehash.com/miner/3QPFEdX8rtXHoVZHct5eUbp7AK1t1vRMfL

I am still selling off my 1070ti's
Building 2 card gamer rigs.
Teaching a few neighbors how to get in on mining.
Running Escrow
Running multiple threads.

Plus real world things.

Yeah we already ordered self-inflating foam packs to pack the cards in better so this shouldn´t happen anymore with the next batch! Thank you for your feedback, we get better every day thanks to you! Smiley

I received mine too. The miner is running smooth. As philip suggested, the ram should be 8gb and the cpu should be a bit better for windows.
3 gpus came broken and 1 is running at 200 sols for me, but that's DHL handling it badly. I'll file an insurance claim with DHL for that.

What i would suggest for autominer is for the gpus to be packed separately and not inside the unit.

It is good that it came.

yeah  the gpus needs be packed better within the rig.

or separate box.

did you get zotacs, evga or go the AMD route?

Oh I pulled the front grill and it is cooler .
I have nvidia set at 59% td  and all cards are under   70c

he has 2 fans in front one is stock thermal take 200mm the other is a different 200mm fan.

they pull 150 cfm + 130 cfm = 280cfm

The Barebones unit is 2.000 Euro since the same work goes into building one of these as goes into a "full" unit, we simply substract the card price, we will add that option to the website this week (we are a bit overworked right now, we´re just a small team)  Wink

I know that the 1070´s would fit as well, but we noticed that we get slightly more "bang for the buck" on the 1060 models, the 1070 is a bit overpriced imho but maybe that´s just in Europe?!

On a sidenote: We now also offer our units "barebone", just add cards! That way old/spare cards can be put into effective use with very little effort.

Had a quick look on the website but couldn't see the barebone option? What is the price

Also I know we can't see internals but the cards are using risers right?

No mobo has 13 full sized slots.  So that leaves risers as the option.

The bare bones idea is good.

As  stronger louder fans   could be used if you don't care about noise.

I still think 10x  1070's may be best way to diy this

these are the same size as the cards in mine

https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814500408

the ones in my rig
https://www.zotac.com/product/graphics_card/zotac-geforce-gtx-1060-3gb-amp-edition#spec

There's a lot of people having problems with larger rigs/risers etc around that place mainly power related so I was looking at the 8 GPU riserless mobo from Octominer but if this is very stable and there's no issues with the mobo and risers then it could be a good alternative depending on price

the 1070 tis  could be set to 100tdp  should pull about 1100 watts at the K-watt meter

and we know 13 1060 fit  so 10  1070 ti would be a better fit.

Hey everybody and thank you again for your great review philipma!

We just wanted to let you know that we have taken your advice and put a plan into action: All new Autominer Gen. 3 will be fitted with 8GB of RAM and a upgraded CPU.

As some of you may already know GPU´s are realy hard to come by right now, we have however managed to secure 130 NVIDIA GPU´s and are waiting for delivery, hopefully next week. In the meantime we decided to test a "entry level" version that will be quite a bit cheaper, we will update here once the prototype is finished! Grin

We believe that only if entry into the crypto-space is easy and relatively cheap, the true spirit of decentralized currency can be sustained.

Nice update -- when can the barebone unit be purchased, can you elaborate on what Nvidia GPU's you have coming? base spec?

Dear  philipma1957

Can you make some pictures of the build . I want to know how they can build it with 13 gpus in this small case.

Cheers
Wayne187

Wayne, already asked, already answered, not going to happen.  This is a demo and showing us this detail compromises their design and phillips agreement with them.

I can say this  if you own one and are handy you can copy it.  Since my deal is 2 months mining and the gear up front.  Then buy or return it. I am not disclosing how they did it.

As for the prototype it has 1060 3gb zotac's
it has the 3930 celeron
and it had 4gb ram.

Since the ram is easy to access  I put in 2 8gb sticks
The cpu lags I will look at the   cpu %  in a minute.

I am going to buy a case and build a copy down the road  but that will not be until late spring.

@ eleceng1979

I went to msi set polling to 5000 not 1000

I set cpu usage and it is 38% 44% for each core.

Translation mining with 13 1060 3gb cards and a celeron 3930  will work fine.
Do not except a fast pc under this setup.
I have a spare i7 6700t cpu that whispers to me let me run this gear.  Not going to happen maybe when I do a copy build I will try it.

I like this gear.

three of these racks would allow 12 units  four per rack

https://www.ebay.com/itm/6-Tier-Wire-Shelving-Rack-82-x48-x18-Heavy-Duty-Layer-Steel-Shelf-Adjustable/152681610135?

see this shed

 https://www.ebay.com/itm/12-x-8-Gambrel-Wood-Shed/272700854575?

it would fit the 3 racks

12 x 3200 sols =  38400 sols of zec

you raise the shed on these

https://www.homedepot.com/p/6-in-x-6-in-x-12-ft-2-Pressure-Treated-Timber-6330254/100010238

buy 3 of these

https://www.homedepot.com/p/Master-Flow-1600-CFM-Power-Gable-Mount-Attic-Fan-EGV6/205924917

all exhaust

and since the racks come with 6 shelves and you only need 4 for each rack you have 3 left over

use 2 on the floor of the shed for intake

these fit 2 per rack.
you pull in cool shaded air.

you need 15000 watts to do it or  3x  30 amp circuits  with 240 volts.

with 2 guys that know how to work this can be done in a day .

and  if you want you could line it  inside with this
