is it possible the lights could be green but not have enough to mine? I've switched the miners with the other I have at least 5 times with no difference so if they where dead that would mean they are all dead.

Once again. You did five units and none work.

My guess is dead psu.

Hopefully it is the psu.

This gear does not work with one dead hashing board.

So if it is a dead board you need to rma

Are the AUC lights also green, when you connect them to the Pi?

I turn on the pi with everything plugged in and wait a minute the turn on the miner itself

So you have other ones that hash?
How many psu's do you have just the one  1300 evga g2

Try voltage offset of -2
save and apply

then  go to the gui

and hit restart cgminer see below

https://i.imgur.com/RlpBRmi.png

I've tried that but of course still nothing I only have the 1300 evga g2 one idk its a possibility that it might not be able to handle this as for the past year and a half its been on 24/7  for my ethereum miner that pulled about 960 from it but I was looking at the CGminer API log and saw this:

[Firmware Version] => Avalon Firmware - 20170603
    luci: ffc1d59
    cgminer: 2354004
    cgminer-packages: d309c69
Socket connect failed => Connection refused

looking around on the forums from what I can tell Socket connect failed means one of the hashing boards is damaged or the PSU is not working I've swapped out the miner 5 different times with no luck  so my guess is for some reason the PSU is not working I COULD be wrong beacuse the boards are lighting up green where I plug in the 6 pin meaning it is getting enough power it's all confusing but in a week or so I should have the capability to set up a miner with 208 volts so I can use my server PSU's to see if that fixes the problem unless if you have any other recommendations or thoughts that's what I think the solution is currently.

The AUC should show up even if the miner isnt running  - try to refresh the cgminer status page after you've plugged in the auc

What color are the lights on the AUC converter that's hooked up to your Pi?

Are the lights on the back of the miner, where you plug in the PCI-e boards, on?

okay  looks like some thing is broken

wait wait wait  check this thread

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/beware-of-cross-wired-server-pcie-cables-2215578

if you do not have this problem above check  info below

you  can get to the rasp pi and program it so the eth cable  looks good.

next usb micro cable to the auc conveter ---------
auc converter ---------------------------------------
four pin wire to unit --------------------------------

if any are bad you would get the symtoms you are getting.

so do you have multiple  units and parts?

do you have a working  unit?

if yes  fully swap
 the usb
the auc
the four pin wire

if dead unit works you know  that one of those 3 parts are bad.
if good unit works you know  that all of the part are good  since each set works on good unit.

next  swap psu from good unit to bad unit.

if bad unit works you know it is a psu issue.
if good unit works  if means the psu is good.

at this point  it would be an internal issue in the gear.

a hash board or the internal daughter board

the gear does not work if you have one bad hash board.
I did a rma check here

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/my-dead-avalon-741-story-starting-9212017-2196951

I am hoping it is fixable without an rma

I have 64 miners I;ve swapped at least 5 of them so I know the miners are alright I only have on power supply that can handle these at the moment that could be it idk I'm using a 1300w evga PSU to try and test out a miner before I setup my building the lights on each hash board are green meaning they are getting correct power and the light on the back of the miner is yellow meaning its IDLE I've tried everything and swapped the usb cables, auc3 cables, and the auc3 to usb converters at least 3 times I have no idea what the issue is.

humer me

put this in

 Pool 1 .............           stratum+tcp://sha256.usa.nicehash.com:3334

Pool1 worker .............  1JdC6Xg3ajT3rge3FgPNSYYFpmf53Vbtje

Pool 1 password .......   p=.19

let it run 5 minutes  then screen shot the 2 pages below

I want to be sure it is not a pool issue so 5 minutes should be enough to be sure.

hope I'm not too late to the party I've reflashed my controller twice and even used a different rasp pie model 3 b with no luck I've tried everything from setting up wifi instead of the ethernet here is a link to a quick video showing my setup (light on miner is yellow you cant tell that in the video) and I attached some photos of my config as you guys cant help without those photos.

Imgur with more than enough screenshots: https://imgur.com/a/0jD5v

My guess is the controller is not able to see the miner I have taken it apart and made sure all connections are correct that is also in the imgur post

try with another AUC3,,

that is the first thing I did but I don't see how it would hurt to go dig up another one from my stack of miners (in the process of getting a building for my 64 miners) will post a update after I swap out the AUC3
