Well with BCC the balance should shift some since people will be mining one or other.
And little guys matter as much as the big in terms of moving product. It's easier to move bigger loads but every order matters.

Just be on standby when you get your order info. It's not your order number but how fast you pay.
First come first served.

Business is business man. I only ever bought from them in packs of 5-10 so I don't know. They are always very good with my orders though. But that might be because I'm not based in the US. Although I still do all the US stuff (like reading this forum for instance lol)

Also seems focus is shifting to different algorithm asics, such as for x11 and scrypt.
Many companies coming back from the woods to start selling them, such as innosilicon and bw.com
I have placed numerous orders with Canaan, but the placing of new crate orders before providing assurance on current and previous orders is a bit off putting.
As others have said, for most this is the first time with ordering issues, all other times were fine for me.
Still, better than most, just sad they leaving the smaller people behind.

looks like canaan sold more units than they have in stock according to their fb page.

And they still let you put in orders for 60.

So. They simply do not care if you put in small orders.

I will hopefully get my August 6th order this tues sept 5th.

I'm not one to give advice usually, but don't you guys think the A741 is just about coming to an end of its life cycle? (I have 30 of them just FYI, not talking out of my ass). The s9s I ordered back in July are a comin this week, and I alone ordered more than 30 of those as well. I'd imagine theres probably a ton being shipped with my lot. If difficulty spikes back up to 920kk+ the avalon, even at 800$ would not make back the money in 5months, and by that time, the 4 more lots of S9s would be out.

just another round of miner food for thought.

look  the s-9's  and the 741's  are not that far apart as s-9's break  a lot

so  they are more like .14 watts  or .13 watts  when you figure breakdown time.

It is always about   btc price anyway.

who would think the s-7 still turns a profit today  which it does.

at 4600 a coin and 10 cent power the s7 earns until diff gets to 1600

at 4600 a coin and 10 cent power the 741 earns until diff gets to 2460

at 4600 a coin and 10 cent power the s-9 earns until diff gets to 3900

so  realistically your 741  will be good for at least 6-9 months
the s-9  may be good for 12 - 14 months

and  when you  go that far out who knows btc price

realized my rant got off topic from op intent , I took my rant elsewhere lol

Actually  I pretty much agree with you.  but the asics builders want to move gear out as they  fear btc price drops.

So  they offer to a guy that wants 50-60 pieces.

and that guy may use 40 to mine with and sell 20 at jacked prices on ebay.

This always happens when coins have a price runup.

It is annoying as I just buy gear  slow but sure  with zero regard to coin price.

I was buying 721's when coin price was at 875 in dec
I was buying 721's when coin price was  at 919 in jan
I was buying 741's when coin price was at 2500 in jul
I was buying 741's when coin price was at 3400 in aug 6
I ordered a 741 on the 31st when coin price topped out at 4950

and I will order one in sept even with coin prices dropped to 4650

but deal is 775 each for 60 pack.

43000 + 2000 + 1500 = 46500

as usa will charge at least 1500 in custom fees
and shipping to usa is at least 2000

I would offer to organize a group buy but  I am still waiting on my own  august 6th and august 31st buys.

All,

Have a question.  On the A7, is the fan side of the unit the intake or the exhaust?

Well, btc price is back down,  Grin I was hoping they would have sent out payments when it was high so the actual btc would be lower but looks like the spike is done. But still the weekend so still some days till we hear back on payments.

Also seems some people couldn't wait so won't be as many people finalizing their orders.

Yeah. I was up $200 after I put $2250 into the exchange... then it all tanked. Lol. I spread it out between BTC, ETH, LTC, DASH, and PART though so I wouldn't get crushed by any single drop. Down about $150 now, but it's been coming back up slowly.

I wonder if Canaan anticipated the drop so they decided to wait on sending the BTC payment info.

I keep mine in BCC, I have no idea why market has not realized its the better coin yet. Lower fees, faster transactions, plus they have a perm solution instead of a temp one. just a mater of time before the community stops attacking BCC and is forced to embrace it.

The biggest problem I have about the way hardware is sold is that. 1 of the biggest perks of bitcoin is its suppose to be a a financial system run by the people. I originally got into it because I loved the idea of a system away from the corruption and scheming of banks and government. But when you have a system that shits on the little guys and only rewards the people who can buy mass quantity, its no longer a system run by the people it is now a system run in majority by the rich. This basically makes BTC like every other currency where the few dictate everything. The only perk it has now is the Anonymity and that only depends on where you live and even then with all the scams and theft out their this causes as many problems as it does solutions.

Those rich were the ones who were early adopters and got it when everyone dropped out back in 2013.
I say kudos to them for risking it through.

As for BCC I see it as a valid coin and a good coin. But for someone like me that does cash payouts I still have to convert it to BTC or other crypto to make real currency off of it.

Hey I have no problems with the people who have been doing this for years and have stockpiled and generated from being early investors. its just if people can literally be spamming the webpage from the moment it goes in stock and still not able to get a single machine, its no longer a currency run by the people and in fact goes against everything I would of thought bitcoin standed for. I just think Bitmain Canaan and all other hardware suppliers should prioritize selling few machines to many over alot of machines to few and let those who want to buy 60 machines + have to pay the premium prices instead of the little guys who just want 1 or 2 machines each release.

So should someone start an Avalon group buy thread? And see what interest we get? I think I'm in for 4 or 5 at this point. I would start one but I doubt anyone would trust me since I'm fairly new to the forums but if someone who is trusted does it I'm willing to get in on a group buy. Does anyone know if we get a discount?

Even I anticipated the drop. It's  a smart business decision by waiting a work day they can save and make an extra $100 more or less each Miner. I bought my BTC over a week ago so I'm still in the positive return

That is a stupid game for them to play.

lets say 1000 units  on order waiting for an address.

coins drop to 3500  a shit ton of cancellations would happen.

and if coins keep drifting up up up to 5500 then 6000  there waiting earns them less coin.

So they gain on a drop to 4500-4600  as many would buy if that happens.

Myself I will buy 1 or 2 at a time

I think they have solved the customer service/ordering problem.

No more orders are possible for less than 60 units!

Who's in for a bulk buy?

I'm in! But only for 1 of the three controllers.   Cheesy

Ok, send $80 for the controller and $42,920 for shipping  Grin
