they are working on it, something just changed in my order status

about the price, what do you guys think? I still hope for 60 BTC or less  Cool.

Yifu said it was batch 2 pricing so, $1299 for Icarus, $1199 for Lancelots trade-ins.

Yeh, this should make up for the 75 BTC price we paid with batch 3.

What I wonder though is if they will have a trade-in program when they move to 55nm chips. My guess is no, but who knows.

What order status you talking about? As far as I know there is no orders for the trade-in program until after they send you a purchase link and you complete that purchase. I guess I should checkout my store account maybe there is a surprise waiting for me.

Hopefully Yifu can get the band together to finish off their world tour.

Or he cancels the remaining tours and retires.

It seems Avalon has no longer able to put chips on machines, so they focus on selling chips in bulks instead.

What are you talking about?  Their mining profits are theirs.
Nobody will be returning anything.

If I had to guess,  I'd say the team had split around April/May.
ngzhang left the team.  I cannot imagine them having technical issues with
him on the team.  I'm guessing money and the direction the company
took was the issue.

Are they scammers by business standards? Of course.

By bitcoin mining community standards? No way.
They are geniuses walking on water.

ngzhang left the team.

Sad news, if true. Sad

Hopefully Yifu can get the band together to finish off their world tour.  The fans are getting restless with the empty stage.

Some info would be nice, % of the network in tradein units to be delivered, shipping dates and shipping queue...

+1

Not sure why Yifu is ignoring us.   When the new/improved support site went on-line,
I opened a trade-in ticket on June 12th, ticket # 961.  Nobody looked at it since.

He obviously does not give a flying puck about trade-in customers.

It will be a big loss to team if NG left them. He was not doing it for the money alone. He used to enjoy his work very much. When the joy has gone NG has gone also. He is not posting lately at all and has not been around for at least 3-4 months. I do miss FPGA  times  when he used to reply to posts and mails. I have nothing to ask him though but NG if you happen to read this say hello pls Smiley

Since there is no personal info for the trade-in till today, GMP is considering the hardware sended for trade-in as lost.
GMP is a crowdmining project, the ignorance of the Avalon Team is affecting not just one person.
Yifu you are a scamer, even if you deliver now, you scamed all trade-in guys - period.

We all was very patient with you, but you dnt even think about to talk to us. This is sad.
Thats why i have to request a scamer tag for Yifu (Bitsyncom) and the Avalon Team.

while i agree that the trade ins have been wrongfully neglected, I absolutely disagree that Yifu should be labeled a scammer.  If he was a scammer then he wouldn't be delivering any Avalons at all.  Again, I think you trade in people have been fucked really really hard, but Yifu is no BFL Josh.

Considering that we know Avalon is mining before they ship out to their customers, I wouldn't find it unreasonable to send you a batch 3 Avalon with a cold storage wallet containing X BTC.  I don't know exactly what X should equal, but I'm sure you can come up with a reasonable estimation.  So the question is, what # of BTC would satisfy you?

Make a low assumption - the amount of BTC you would have mined with only the FPGA between the time that you sent it back and today.
Make a high assumption - the amount of BTC you would have mined if you received the batch 2 as early as someone with a non-trade-in confirmed receiving shipment.

Are trade-ins considered part of Batch2, Batch3 or completely separate from both?

Trade-ins have to be separate, just from the accounting stand point.

Call it Batch 2+.  I just hope it is not Batch 4.  Who knows man?

Still have some faith that they will deliver one day.
Let's hope it is not when difficulty is at 150M and BTC is at $30 USD.
