It is up to them to try to see if there is a sucker to buy them. However, I was one of those who got his ROI with them, and I am satisfied.

You have been the hook to rip off many other people, do not feel lucky for that.

2 days left and still no bids at 6BTC less than they are selling in their store. Guess they didn't learn from their last auction that was also overpriced initially generating no bids. I predict another extension and lower minimum bid any moment now Tongue

I'm not sure what moron would put any bid.  Two months from now these chips will not be worth their weight.

New miners will not buy because it involves making PCBs, programming etc.  Old miners got already burned by these motherfuckers.

I was literally laughing out loud when I read that email, about $5000 USD for about 500Gh or so... that you probably wouldn't even get hashing for at least 2 months after you got the chips while you figure out boards and assembly. Wow, just wow.

Are they even aware that you can buy a KNC 550GH/s Jupiter for November delivery for about the same coin? ASSEMBLED. Check link in sig.

Maybe if they really need that for them, they shoulda just PMed everyone in the first AM blade auction, NDA secret squirrel special deal... Cheesy

That's what they said about the 500 60gh miners they just auctioned off.

To be fair, ~2.1 BTC was a decent price for those miners IMO.

I don't think anyone has to worry about those chips selling.

The probability of people bidding on them is low unless, somehow, someone 4 weeks, or more, looked in their crystal orb and decided to buy the PCBs to manufacture these ... lol

There was exactly no information given ahead of time for people even to prepare for a chip sale.  Are people supposed to pull PCBs, and components, out of their asses Huh

That's what they said about the 500 60gh miners they just auctioned off.

People were really responsible for sourcing their own PCBs and other components for that?  I really thought they came pre-assembled.  Please confirm?  Are you trolling or something?

Yes they are laughing and what is even funnier is no matter what negative feedback there is many greedy ASS SOBs who would sell their own mother will order the chips and say "Its business"

Nope....
10K Chips @ 730 BTC   vs 10k Chips @ 100 BTC....

When they were asking 730BTC, the bitcoin price quote was 75€ = 55k€, now they ask 100BTC, the bitcoin price quote is 150€ = 15K€, we know that TSMC does not accept payment in BTC, 40k € difference in one batch? They are laughing in our face ...

Now they are not the only ones that sell chips is clearly seen as their prices are ridiculously high.
Too bad their first chips buyers could not compare prices...

I wasn't too disappointed by AVALON with the 10K chip order ( 4 weeks delay) ...but i find the price too high....i would pay half of it ...more, it doesn't worth it...i purchased a 10k Batch with a friend  (50-50) and it's waaaaay to much work to mount them (apart from assembling the PCBs) ....cut&crimp 2000 wires for the connectors...and so on...

Batch 1 ROId,
Batch 2 ROId,
Batch 3 got refunded,
Chips got refunded.

Did anyone got screwed by Avalon? Please tell me, because i stopped following them after batch 2.

Kudos to Avalon. (FY for being unable to find resistors&capacitors in damn China, but at least you didn't screwed everyone as others did).

You must be joking. They screwed everyone from direct customers to boards manufacturers(burnin was down 20k euros) by delaying their chips and even if they refunded the BTC for chips customers got screwed by paying for assembly...so yeah a big fuck you to avalon.

Batch 2 ROId for Avalon who mined Batch 2 and then bought more chips to build and ship Batch 2 to the actual paying customers 7 weeks later and yes, then those customers ROIed.
Batch 3 got refunded,  WHAT??   No one has ROIed on batch III yet.
I also received Batch 2 with April firmware and full of dust, so yes, i know. I always complained, (back when they first put of the first resistor&capacitor bs, but without success, everyone was still loving avalon for being the first to market).
About batch 3 you are right, sorry.

Batch 3 delivery was three months late which made it negative at least for me.
