Wow, 600 bitcoin for 8 units? That's ~500gigahash/sec. ~23% on your investment, which isn't bad if the diff pans out, for sure, although the amount of time needed to achieve ROI based on expected diff increase of 130 days is why I pulled out, because if KNC ships these may never ROI.

I'm kinda surprised you didn't ask for a refund given how tough ROI looks right now. I guess we all have our different assessments of how quickly difficulty is set to increase right about now.

I look at 600 bitcoin and I see 10 KNC Jupiter miners at 400gh/sec each, that's 4 terahash total and looks like so:

Assuming they do ship in September that's like 400% on your money, with a much more efficient chip as well.

Well, no doubt you know what you're doing! I wish you luck, sir Smiley

Maybe just an oversight in your analysis there, but shouldn't you raise the starting difficulty for your Jupiter calculations to something more like what it would be like in September?

You used the same starting difficulty, when obviously an Avalon in the hand now is the only one of those two that actually will mine at that difficulty.  It would seem to throw off the whole calculation quite a bit if you were to start your Jupiter calculations at something like 50mil+ instead of where you have it now.

To try and keep this on topic, I have an early order (47XX) Avalon, but they are 4 module, and I still see "Processing" as status.  Are we noticing a trend that 4 module machines don't seem to have shipped yet?  Might make some sense out of the out of order shipping...

I think those of us who went for the refund believe that the next generation asic technology will be out soon and those who hung in there believe the opposite.

I am still skeptical of KNC without seeing a working chip, but with bitfury's demonstrated chip, it is hard to see them being delayed for very long (if at all).

Yeah, but even without Knc, Avalon has sold sooo many chips. I mean, you'd def ROI by the time most of those get going, but still. Knc is the major wildcard it seems to me.

If the bitcoin value keeps at current level, I believe the next generation chips definitely will be delayed.

#51xx
4 modules

Still Processing...

I call DHL today and nothing...

Undecided

Perhaps 3 module units are going out first. Perhaps 4 module units get the new design.

Can the guys who also got tracking please chime in?

My order that shipped today were all 3-module units with power supplies.  It was an early order number 45xx.  I still have another order in the 8xxx range with two 4-module and no PSUs that I have not received any info about yet.

I received a tracking number this morning for order 84XX.

You guys with 8xxx+ order numbers...

Are these trade ins or batch 3 units?

I'm wondering because I have 3 orders with order numbers lower than 8xxx that have not shipped.

I have heard from other batches that Avalon ships seemingly randomly, not inline with order numbers. I guess this is still true... slightly frustrating to say the least.

Mine is just a batch 3 order.

WTF,why are they ship units from back to front, that's ridiculous
They ship units by throw dice.
It is not surprise because batch#2 they also did like this

Thanks for clarifying that.

No problem.  I see how it wasn't clear.

I will provide updates throughout the shipping process, and they will all be in chronological order, so nothing I say should ever conflict with what I've already said.

Did you get delivered already? If up did please post receipt/invoice value.

No, as I said, they shipped it today (or possibly yesterday, given the time difference).  The date it was received by DHL was 7/19.

Ok i tought when u said "soon" it wasmatter of hours. Still u should receive it before me so please post value as soon as u get it.
