Hi all,

For the first time (I think), due to current profitability, Awesome Miner has switched my small rig (4 x 1060's) to mining Eth, using Claymore's Dual miner. Getting around 96MH/s.

I only use Awesome miner with MPH, and I can see it is mining ETH on there.  But Claymore also appears to be mining Decred to Nicehash too?

https://image.ibb.co/fmMjJS/1.png

https://image.ibb.co/ebyWyS/2.png

Notice how there is no worker defined for nicehash?  I don't have a nicehash account, nor do I want one.

I have tred following a guide online to disable dual mining, but it won't work?

I have only MPH configured in the profit switching menu:

Any help appreciated. Thanks

PS (sorry, not sure why images aren't appearing, but as links - maybe because I saved screenshots as PNG and not JPEG?)

sounds like you need to do the opposite of what i did to get claymore to dual mine....

try going and setting the hashrate for the dualmine coins manually to a much lower hashrate as a custom setting... not a perfect solution but it should work.

I'm having an issue with custom coins and using them for their balance.

I have a custom coin setup its working for profit switching, it also shows the current price across the bottom of AM. I also have that coin setup in balance, and its able to pull in total number of coins at an address. However, it is not multiplying them out to show the total balance of that coin. Is this something I'm doing wrong, or possibly something changed in V4.5?

This seems to be a consistent issue when I change from a custom coin being updated by WTM and switching it to a custom plugin for that coin. The reason I do this is what to mine will periodically have drops in difficulty for a minute or two and that coin is then supposedly 1000x's better to mine. I just switched another coin that previously was being maintained by what to mine to a custom external plugin. The coin is updating the difficulty and price/btc correctly, it just isn't getting used correctly in the balance calculation.

Also if more than one selected miner could be deleted from the list, that would be awesome!

Hi Patrike
AM need new Rule, some asicminers have faulty boards and this miners works after restart good, but with the time hashrate go to 0 MHS (with no "x" chips) and miners must be restarted manualy.
Or please tell me how i can configure restarting processes if Hashrate drop for 10-20-30, etc percents.

And please improve GUI, with the time ammount of stored pools more then 300 !!!, i have created a pool groups, but this groups placed on the end of pool dropdown list. Everytime i need to wait till whole list will be scroled to the end. Please put pool groups on the top of the pool list.

And please add function "Add pool" to whole miner group

Please add a new pool www.starpool.biz

I can't get any SSL connections to pools to work with Awesomeminer. For example, if I connect directly to the SSL pool with DSTM or Claymore it works fine, when I use Awesome miner I get a connection error. I'm using the correct port and specifying the correct ssl prefix in the URL.

Any ideas?

This happens on multiple pools so it seems to be a setting in Awesomeminer I can't find or some way it's passing the info to the miner. The command line looks correct in the miner window, but it still doesn't work like it does solo.

Anyone have recommendations for setting up a rule to detect when a miner loses connection to a pool, and the miner tries to re-connect repeatedly without success. I don't see an option for repeated connection failures.  I have a rule that checks for lack of accepted progress over X amount of time, and that works, but wondering if there is a way for AM to detect this loss of pool connection more directly?

One of my miners keeps having ccminer crashes "cuda error in func unspecified launch failure". Hoping the new version included in 4.5 helps but it appears I cannot remotely upgrade the agents today and your website is also down.

Updated to V4.5  Any detailed info on setting up mining Dutch?  I had it mining it showed most profitable in details but nothing showing in coin total per day.
I made an account on mining dutch and used my User name as worker (Username.1).  But doesnt seem to be working correctly

Any help much appreciated

Better you should keeping away mining-dutch, stats of this pool are very inacurate, especially for Skein, Qubit, Quark, and Myr-gr; way lower than expected, have tested too with scrypt, same bad results

Any chance in a future update there could be a feature that caps the amount of time Awesome Miner will remain on a single algo when profit switching? For example, if PHI (or any algo) remains most profitable and is mined for say 10 minutes straight (or through 5 consecutive 2min Switching Interval checks) have a setting that would cause AM to switch to the next most profitable algo and put PHI on timeout/cooldown for a configurable amount of time after which the profit switching profile would take it back into consideration. Perhaps per algo in Options -> Online Services a setting like "Max Continuous Mining Duration Before Forced Switch" or "Max Time Active" paired with that a setting that could remove the algo from profit switching consideration for a configurable amount of time if it triggers the previous setting so it doesn't just immediately switch back next Switching Interval check. Either that if per algo is too much to implement, the 2 settings could just apply to all algos and be configured under Options --> Profit Switching right were Switching Interval and Profit switch Threshold are configured

My thinking is that with tuning these settings could help AM from getting stuck on a single algo for too long with a high ttf that isn't finding blocks. Anyway, thanks for the Awesome software and the continuous updates!

I'm confused by this, but I'm sure you have a good reason for wanting this.  This behavior runs counter to what profit-switching is for.  I think Patrike has said he would look into adding profit-switching triggers and actions, so maybe this could be set in a future version.

I know what you mean, it seems counter productive to want to switch away from whats most profitable but I'll see if I can explain my thought process in wanting the settings. I'm mining on zPool, and when mining a specific algo I'm generating shares. There's a max share percentage that I can achieve for my hashing power which changes based on the max hashing power pointed at that algo by all miners. Once a block is found those shares are consumed and I'm credited for them. If no block is found, and AM switches to a different algo I retain those shares until a block is found, albeit with a very slow decay until AM switches back to that algo.

On algos that find blocks very frequently, its fine to stay on them while they're most profitable because you're constantly replenishing your share percentage as they're consumed. When it comes to an algo like PHI however, sometimes no block is found for 1-3 hours or even more at a time. If it takes 10 minutes on that algo submitting shares to reach my max share percentage, any additional time continuing to mine on that algo is simply maintaining that max share percentage not increasing it so would be better time spent generating shares for additional algos. Earlier, AM remained on PHI for over 50 minutes while no blocks were found because IF one were found it would have been most profitable however over half of that time was spent simply maintaining my share percentage with 0 earnings. With the settings I was requesting, I could set a max consecutive time for PHI to run and if it reaches that time, force a switch to the next most profitable algo and with the second setting optionally put PHI on cooldown for 10 mins or something so that AM will generate shares for another algo and not take PHI into consideration till off of cooldown.

The settings would really only help with algos that have a high ttf (which is why I suggested they be per algo settings) but with the right tuning I think could really help efficiency/profitability. My thinking is that during that 50+ minute stretch of no earnings, I could have generated max shares for PHI, forced it to switch to next most profitable algo/s to generate shares while PHI was on cooldown for 10 minutes after hitting my configured time limit, and then after that if PHI was still most profitable AM would switch back and share percentage would be topped off again (which wouldn't be much, the decay really is slow). It would have then happened again of course because PHI was considered most profitable for over 50 mins ect. In the end with those settings, instead of mining my max share percentage up for 10 minutes and then maintaining it for another 40+ on a single algo, I would have mined max share percentage for PHI in case a block was found, then ignored it for 10 mins generating shares for other algos, then topped it off for 10 mins cause no block found, then ignored it again & generated shares for other algos, then topped it off again cause still no block found ect... Using a 10 minute max time and a 10 minute cooldown triggered on reaching that time specifically for PHI, I would have spent 20 of those 50 minutes generating shares/earnings for other algos instead of continuing to mine an algo which wasn't finding any blocks.

That got wordy RIP hope it makes sense to someone other than me lol

BUGS:
- after i change the pool to some miners i can't change the pool to the rest anymore. I have to restart Am then it works.
- AM does not apply changed pool / template / mining application after applying them, several restarts of the miner is required

FEATURE REQUEST:
- IMPORTANT - add an option to remove all income/revenue data in the dashboard  from the view only / control view user roles
- when you search for awesome miner agents put a field in the wizard to enter the password, so you don't have to enter the password for each host - if you add lots of miner it is tiresome to modify each one.
- add a checkmark in miner properties to get the worker name from the description, so you don't have to always check "add to worker name" and type the worker for each miner
- make a "clone" button for the managed hosts section
- make the hw errors text color in webserver red so it pops out and see it better
- make a button to map all the selected miner gpus to system monitoring
- maybe add a tooltip so when you hover with the mouse above the miner after 2 you can see the  details ( command line arguments and configuration )

I wish the profit switching had some options like "If profit drops below X(user defined) for more then X(user defined)minutes, then restart (switch). Also, an option of "if miner stops, restart after x(user defined) minutes" would be great too. My experience has been that I will be home, and I set the switch time to 20-25 minutes. It will be mining along at profit of $20 a day. It will go anywhere from 10-20 minutes like that, then all of a sudden it drops to $6.75. If I'm there I wait 2 minutes to watch, and if it isn't recovering, I hit restart, and it usually switches to something in the $17-22 dollar range. Once in awhile it will choose another poor choice in the $8-9 range, and I hit restart again, and it catches another $17-22 switch. Once in awhile the miner stops. I've figured out most of the algorithms, and pools that cause trouble, and disabled, or removed them, but to avoid the miner going down, when I'm sleeping, or out of the house, I change the switch time to 38 minutes so it will switch less (in case it stops, to avoid waking up and realizing the miner has been down for 4 hours, which kills whatever extra profit I may of made) That scenario wouldn't be a problem if it just auto restarted after 3-5 minutes. Thanks for all your hard work Patrike!
