Hello @Patrike, I haven't posted here for a long time. It is because I am very happy with this program.

I have seen that in the last months all its development is focused on 90% in asic, and it seems fine to me, but there are some things that have been failing on the GPU for some time

The mistake that bothers me the most is the Miners update. Many times they are not updated, or if I put a custom URL for example in the last Trex special for Kawpow it is not updated.

Even if I delete or rename the folder inside user> appdata> local .... it doesn't update. I have had to resort to a Pendrive and hand-stuff it myself into each miner. This error has been happening for a couple of months, I have not commented anything because I assumed that someone would comment, but the days go by and I continue with the problems

https://github.com/trexminer/T-Rex/releases/download/0.15.6/t-rex-0.15.6-win-cuda10.0.zip

That is the last Trex, I have put it in custom in managed software and it is not updated in any of the rigs.

There are even times if it is updated, but in summary it tells me that it uses the trex version 15.4 but then in the rig window if it says 15.6. This has happened to me with other miners such as TTminer, which I have had to hand in if I want to get ahead before you update it.

Another related bug, it happens to me a lot with Gminer, which launches it AW and fails, and so repeatedly, I go to the rig in question I launch it with a .bat and it works correctly. Many times that I launch it with AW it sets the cpu to 100% and restarts, but as I say, if I go and launch it manually from the rig, that does not happen.

In short, there are many failures lately with the GPU mode and I see that few people bother to report.

I remind you that I am not only one person, we are a group of 12 people who all use Awesome miner, and the same thing happens to all of them. We all work with Nvidia.
Thanks for all feedback.

For the version display, Awesome Miner is currently displaying the version currently included in Awesome Miner, for example "T-Rex Miner 15.4". This is displayed in Awesome Miner even if you set a custom download URL, resulting in a later version like 15.6.

I will change this behavior to only display "T-Rex Miner" without the version number in case you defined your own Download URL. In this case Awesome Miner doesn't know the actual version as there are no way of telling for sure. Please note that this version display in the Awesome Miner user interface is only a UI display issue in this case.

For the case where the managed software isn't updated on all rigs - can you please send me the Remote Agent log file (via PM or mail) from this system and let me know the details like the time of the issue. Thanks!

If you launch Gminer via the Diagnostics button in Awesome Miner, do you get any specific error message? I know since before that Gminer is having a quite sensitive "anti-hacking" feature where it on some systems fail to start when launched form any application execpt directly from the command line. If this is the case, you will see a message about this in the Diagnostics output.

Hi Patrike

Would you be able to add a feature so that when the mining software starts and runs on the remote computer there is an option to have it start/run minimised? Also if a rig crashes and goes offline but comes back online, some type of an acknowledgement instead of just a notification the rig is offline?

Thanks
I will look into the suggestion about launching minimized .

In addition to the notification on the Notifications tab, you will also see a desktop popup about the crash. You can configure this popup to stay on the screen instead of going away after a few seconds. This will reduce the risk of missing the notifications. This is configurable in the Options dialog, Notifications section.

Does anyone know why when I try to mine ETH to nicehash with my GPU rigs, I just keep getting a connection closed by the pool message?

Following pool config:

stratum+tcp://daggerhashimoto.usa.nicehash.com:3353

Worker name is my Nicehash BTC address and password is x

Connects to the pool fine than gets disconnected.

Thanks
It works fine with I'm testing with Claymore Ethereum miner on the Nicehash Ethereum pool right now. It could have been a temporary pool issue.

Patrike can you add Kawpowminer?

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/ann-kawpowminer-v123-first-kawpow-miner-for-miners-nvidiaamd-winlinx-5246518

I think it is easy for you, because it is a fork of ethminer.
At the moment i add it a as user defined software.
I will look into this one. I know it has a 0% mining fee, which can be attractive. Have you verified if it's performing better than the other software that also support Kawpow?

agree, AW works with GPU rigs not 100% smooth, but work

This has always been the case for me also. Every time with a Custom Version the AM summary shows Latest Version 15.4 not the actual running Custom Version 15.6.

Also i usually have to restart the miner a few times before it actually loads the new Custom Version. It keeps loading the old version and not updating to Custom

if someone have problem with loading nvrtc.so lib on AwesomeMiner + HiveOS platform, i have solution.

cd /hive/lib
ln -s libnvrtc.so.10.0.130 libnvrtc.so
ldconfig /hive/lib

Enjoy mining with new miners versions.

RavenCoin still listed as X16r

i still see only the x16 raven when i go to coins on main dashboard, the pools howver you can select Raven Kapow  , thank you !
The Coins tab may list both RVN X16rv2 and RVN Kawpow. The coin statistics should however be available for RVN Kawpow.

1) If you experience any issues with the coin not showing up correctly, please try to exit Awesome Miner once and start again.
2) You may also have to look at the setting "Keep coins even when no longer listed by provider" in the Options dialog, Statistics Provider section. If enabled, Awesome Miner can keep older coins. Sometimes this is preferred, but it can also leave a number of old coins in the coin lists.

kawpow cant run on awesome whatever miner software I use how come?
I've only verified with 2miners.com RVN pool so far, but it's working fine and I get accepted shares with Gminer, T-Rex Miner, NbMiner and so on. See:
https://rvn.2miners.com/help

Some pools may not be fully up and running after the fork.

Do you get any specific error messages?
Mining Engine Process started, PID: 16510
20200507 00:15:16 ERROR: Can't start miner, initialize error for nvrtc, dlopen(0): failed to load libnvrtc.so, libnvrtc.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
20200507 00:15:17 T-Rex finished

that the issue in every miner I try on ravenminer pool
Some mining algorithms on Linux may require the latest nVidia CUDA toolkit version to be installed. Please see:

So where is Raven now ? Dont have it in COINS.....
It was there all this time, now on 7.6 i dont have it

I noticed RVN was removed from the WhatToMine main listing, but still possible to access with a small update. Your Awesome Miner will automatically resolve this within the next few hours but you can force the update right away:

1) Click on the blue Menu button in Awesome Miner
2) Click on "Update Mining Software Definitions". Even if no software updates are found, it will also refresh some cloud settings like what specific WhatToMine coins to always include
3) Go to the Coins tab and click the Refresh button.

Now you should see Ravencoin Kawpow in the list.

anyways to get the temp that is reported for Futurebit miners in their gui to show in AM? It is doing the other stats, just not the temp as far as I can tell. This is true for the Gekkoscience Terminus R606 as well.
It was probably close to a year since I looked into these miners last time, but back then they didn't report temperature over the monitoring interface (API). In the case of Terminus R606 it includes a Temperature property, but it's always zero. So although these miners may render the temperature in the web interface, they don't report it in the monitoring details.

It could be that something has improved in more recent firmware updates of these miners. If you want, please send me the API Reports (toolbar: Tools -> API Report) via PM or mail for these miners and I will investigate if there are any temperature details. Thanks!

will do tonight! thanks. if its not reporting it over the API then that would be something to take up with the manufacturers right?
