Hi buddy

I really think there is some kind of problem somwhere with the DIFF value.

Look at this for example. I have added INNOVA: http://prntscr.com/iqqvyj  block explorer: http://explorer.innovacoin.info/  if you check the block explorers diff is always 189. You can also see it in the API: http://explorer.innovacoin.info/ext/summary

I left AM open for hours but it's still showin 55 as diff: http://prntscr.com/iqqx87

may you cehck why is this happening with the diffs values? Maybe the smoothing alo you used?
I'm fairly certain the entire INN network was having issues yesterday - what does it say now? The API is changing and varying quite a lot currently.

can I make a suggestion,

Can you add a field to the config.json structure that would allow a *specific* exchange to be used for the price?  I'm trying to price a *new* coin, which is on a couple of the exchanges, but the price that keeps being pulled in is one that isn't accurate, updated, and just wrong and I know of no way to override that.  E.g. I want the price that CMC is providing which is coming from tradesatoshi, but I'm getting one from some other exchange.

While I'm asking, might it be possible to add a netdiff field as well, if its there it will use that diff, if it's not, it will pull from the data structures that it updates from.  This would allow for these early coins to have some difficulty data until all the various apis etc are in place to handle dynamic data.

Hoping these 2 things would benefit a few people.

Both would allow a price update to occur

Thanks

6515 now. Same as the block explorer link. It's working fine. The problem is that while the explorer report 6515, the pool is reporting now 27.716. If you use the 6515 value in the profit calculator, the potential profit is 1.7eur /day (with my hash rate) if I use the pool diff value the pontetial profit will drop to 0.40 eur.

What I am trying to understand is which of the 2 values is more reliable to calculate the real (or close to real) potential profit, since those 2 values are completely different.
I think that maybe the pool reports the relative difficulty that it took to mine the previous block.. maybe. Can I get a link to this pool?

https://www.gos.cx/site/mining

I was thinking the same. But Actually I checked and it's not...Also the same high diff is reported by all the other pools with that coin. But like I told you this is happening with at least 30/40% of the coins....
Uhh wait.. you realize the pool is report that in "thousands".. right? It's currently at "27.39 k" which means 2739 while the BlockExplorer is reporting 1485.08767059.

Wait jsut to clarify https://prnt.sc/iqoe9s

Enixt diff on Gos.cx pool is not reporting 15.284k. It's 15284 right?

ok, so I have the price, block time, block size, etc that I'm sure it's getting from the exchanges.

One piece I don't have the difficulty.

The block explorer doesn't provide it in a format that will work it seems.  Plus it's wrong on the official explorer

So I'm wondering if there is a way to fake or somehow use a different json api to get the difficulty for this coin?

I have found it in a couple of places, but I suspect it won't work.  Other option would be to rewrite another json into a perferred one on a local web resource.

Might there be a general purpose json structure that I could replicate?

Thanks in advance,

There is something that I don't understand but that is happening very often and that would make the potential profit calculation not reliable at all.

If you check, for example, enixt coin on the gos.cx pool it will show block 12511 diff 20.577.  https://prnt.sc/iqmxdm
If you check the same block on the explorer it will show: http://enixt.lchain.cc/block/4ceeaaa92d933f8d61b8ca44a4c5c27c7af8c649f06043310190004583b49f4e  diff 544!!!!!!

It's an HUUUUUUUGE difference. Considering that this software takes the potential profit calculating the DIFF from the explorer, the calculation is totally wrong.

This is happening with at least 30/40% of the coins.

The program calculates it corectly but since it reads a much lower diff, the potential profit is much higher.

At this point, wouldn't it be better to take the diff from the API of the pool (if possible)? This would make the prediction way more realistic.

Or maybe I am missing something?
In the middle of a few things, response will be brief, but you're better off using the explorer API to get the current diff.

Use this link and let me know what you see: http://enixt.lchain.cc/api/getdifficulty

would you care to include a config.json in the download file, there is none currently so new people don't have a way to understand the current format (which appears to have changed a number of times).
Yep realized that after I sent it out. I'm pulling the current version due to a malware flag thrown.

Figured it out. Apparently the NuGet package MoreLinq is triggering the detection. Will nave a new build available shortly.
