I think they have no problem relying on Vitalik
the thing is that a massive game like axie would have no chance staying on the main chain
we also saw the huge spike this year when the ronin migration happened.
Still pretty early, even if it doesn't look like.

axie doesn't run on ETH but on Ronin which is another chain
there are no fees there now and fees will be really small when they implement the new system in a couple months

The migration to Ronin is very well strategy of Axie Infinity because they can not totally rely on Ethereum and Vitalik for their products. Axie Infinity grows too fast and it has huge marketcap after the institutional investment from A16Z. That is a huge boost for Axie and they have to do something to become more independently to Ethereum network.there are no fees there now and fees will be really small when they implement the new system in a couple months

I believe there are many more exciting tokens, for example, the FAPP collection (here is the link https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/ann-fapp-minting-starts-on-november-23-nft-nsfw-links-inside-warning-5370296). It seems to me that these tokens are much nicer and are not at all like anything I've seen before.

I don’t know what you found in these Axie. As for me, CryptoKitties is much more relaxed and more excellent. But this is purely my subjective opinion.

I did not play Axie Infinity so I wonder that in this game, do they provide a loan contract directly with Axie company or with other users?
If I am not sure that I will play Axie for long, and can not believe in myself that I can play it well, I would like to loan 3 Axies to play and get experience. If I play good, I will buy real Axies for my farm. Any option like this in Axie?

you can't loan axies but there are some "scholarship" programs that do something like that
but instead of paying with money you split earnings with the creators of these programs
Sky Mavis don't sell axies anymore, they make money with a cut from marketplace, around ~4%from each sale

4 or 5 months are long enough and if the bear market comes, I won't be able to have break-even after 5 months. It might be longer than that, 8 months or 1 year. Bear market will be terrible for altcoins and with SLP token that can be earned from game playing, sell pressure will be very big.
There are many people who invest and play the Axie Infinity game without taking into account the bear market. Also it is very early to think about the bear market and then not invest in the game. Most people play the game without considering when they will get the ROI.

SLP is also possible being hype again with a single update. The value may rise back. The important thing is the game still moving strong and the developers are still here and moving in progress.
Unlike those other P2E games who tried to duplicate how axie succeed, most of them are now having problems.
Investors are disappointed and already left. Some take their risk with Axie in hope that this project will give them good benefits.

Well, the Axie game is a bit expensive to begin with and you need to have an investment of atleast 1000$ in order to play the game. Previously we were able to grind 150 SLP per day, which was later reduced to 75 SLP. Right now there are some major changes in the game and many people are not able to earn SLP if they only play adventure mode.
$1000 to start a game is not a small budget. The reduction of reward can become of their reward pool has pressure to be drained out and the Axie team have to reduce reward rate for gamers. They must maintain a healthy tokenomics and keep the game ecosystem runs for long. If reward is too high, it won't be beneficial for late comers. Only early comers have benefit from the game's reward pool.Quote

Additionally, how long will it take to retrieve the initial capital back? Axie is a big and safe game to play. It is not a rug pull game but it seems the ROI is not high and it requires months of playing and investing to get capital back.

this link is wrong, as of months ago axie has migrated to Ronin so they're not on opensea anymore, you can't buy these axies there.

right now a good team on axie will cost around 0.16 ETH (axie prices fell a lot since last months) and you'll be able to farm at least 70 SLP/day if you are a good player (some farm way more)
this would be 2100 SLP in a month, 0.0318088 eth, you'd have your investment back in 5 months
supposing you farm this amount and don't win any prizes, etc...
could be much faster
