You are talking for BAIKAL X10 that the batch 1 had $1200 fair price and now ?
$4000 ?
Did they increase the salaries for the tech workers in China ?

4000 now is cheap?` It was 7000 in januar
fuck that i paid $1400 for mine, And crypto was like three times higher back then
2k is the max id pay

The market will grow, dont forget it!  If baikal sell it for 1400 like bitmain in staple, how much can you earn soon?
Think positive!   I bought also in october.  But when I ordered it, it was also 20 usd per asic!   It will grow again.

Don't be so sure about the growth. It will take a lot of time for a market to grow to the December/January level. By that time there could be a new asics on the market and x10 could be obsolete. Alwyas plan for a pesimistic scenario - never for optimistic.

Reading BWK thread, looks like they are facing some network issues.
Maybe difficulty dropped for that reason too.

what kind of pools would be offered where Nist5 and groestl are available with much hashrate?

What Hash rate of Nist5 your sources reported?
Which one is the second algo?

I would guess 10gh because NIST5 is similar to the x11 algorithm.
Which one is the second algo?

Second algo should be groestl.

But it is very strange. Why should Baikal add new algorithms and sell it without any information on customs???     And make a presale for 4000 USD in april?Huh!!!!!!
It can not be true.    Or  can anybody 100% confirm it???

Which one is the second algo?

Based on the decompiled pseudo code of sgminer there are references to the new algos that are not fully implemented. One of them is NIST and the other is GROESTL. Both of them are treated as the rest of the 10 GH/s algos, so probably the hashing rate will be the same.

They have just released the Baikal N for Cryptonight and it is already obsolete with 20 kH/s. Bitmain announced the X3 with 220 kH/s hashing power. Needless to say what is going to happen with the difficulty of all Cryptonight currencies. Not to mention that almost all of the coin developers are thinking about switching to a non ASIC algorithm instead. It is not worth to buy any of the two miners.

There are algorithms that you shouldn't mess with. Ethash and Cryptonight are good examples for this.

that's the way it is.

That's why you should always buy miners with multiple algorithms.

Baikal Giant X10 will remain very profitable even him the future.
Believe that the 2 new algorithms have been ready for a long time from Baikal, they are just waiting for the market to turn so that they can demand prices of 7000 usd again.

I have been observing Bulwark difficulty for the last couple of weeks and there is definitely something going on at the moment with Nist5 Algo as difficulty dropped dramatically during the last hours. It almost seems that Baikal is unplugging their X10's used for "testing purposes". What I have heard from 2 independent sources is that the X10 delivered from this week on already contain the new algos whereas for the X10 already in the market the new algos will only be released in 4-6 weeks. So let's wait, hope, and see...

Okay, thank you.

PS: the new Antminer from Bitmain of the X3 shows again how valuable the Baikal Gaint X10 is we have.

The Baikal Giant N is worthless, because the X3 of bitmain is much better, but with the Bitmain Antminer X3 you will never be able to achieve the ROI it BTC impossible.

Monero and Electroneum already announced hardforks.

The Baikal Gaint x10 is one of the best miners and I am sure it will stay there for a long time to come. Bitmain won't bring out any multiminer only miner the 1 algo can so is the Gai
