these are not ASICs by the way but FGPA.

Guys, which FPGA device have been used in Baikal miner exactly?
Lets determine the part number and then decide how to update firmware (if it is possible at all).
I somewhat in doubt in the idea that Baikal really uses FPGA, because of technical characteristics . But who knows.

Sometimes i have this problem too. So i did buy a WLAN-Socket for each miner. With those i can turn on and off the power of the miners via Smartphone App and restart the miner from anywhere. I also make an automatic restart once a day.

I dont know where you are from. I am using the following plug in germany. Sorry i called it socket, it seems plug is the right word.

After setting up the plug, you can switch it on and off with an app on your smartphone. You can also set times when it will switch on and off automatically. So my plugs switch off one time in the night and on again one minute later.

there are people working on stuff for the X10 but nothing really happening. overclocking seems dead since there is hardware on the board limiting the hashrate. we have seen mentions of nist5 and groestl hidden in the firmware but nothing to unlock it

xevan or veltor is in there too.. I can't remember off hand which one I saw when I was looking, but one of those 2 is in there as well.

I really like the Baikal Machines but they are really difficult to get. I am seeing pricing for $10,000 USD which is too much for a risk since by the time you get it, the ROI will drop.

Does anyone know if the Baikal can be hacked to mine even more algorithms? I don't know how they do their asics, but they seem multifunctional. Yes, I have googled it. I need someone that is more techsaavy.
