Shouldn't the title be "[BAN APPEAL] Total list + Unban progress''?
As in, the members on the list are appealing against the permanent bans they have already received and would like it to be reduced or something like that.
When, you say unban appeal, it feels like people are appealing against the unban?

Ooops! I suggested about it in my guide hours ago. Please check and consider about the suggestion. If it looks reasonable, and convincing, please do minor change in the title.
I would like to leave a note that to make your appeals right, please notice to make your appeals' titles right. There is official ban message of bitcointalk.org forum (that is shown in the below quote block). Recent days, I have seen many threads with titles like [UNBAN APPEAL], that is somehow distracted from official guide of forum.

I'm not OP, but i will try to clarify it for you.
English word appeal has two main meanings:
1. "a serious or urgent request, typically one made to the public"
2. "an application to a higher court for a decision to be reversed."
In 1st case - unban appeal is right. Hence, in second - ban appeal.
That's all
In russian, for example, unban appeal will be more right, t.e "request to unban"

He asked me to write here, so as not to create an extra account.
This is my friend from college, with whom we communicate constantly. He said that since May 6, he had not written anything, but had banned him on the 10th without an indication of what exactly he had done wrong. Just with the general wording:
"Sorry SamDummy, you are banned from this forum.
You have been permanently banned by a forum moderator, probably due to spam or plagiarism. You can appeal here: [email protected] "
I know for sure that he is not a spammer and does not write plagiarism. Most likely this is just a mistake.
He has merits (27), including for useful, especially for newcomers topics in the English and Russian branches:
