I have checked the web and I found out that One Coins's website is still alive. Well crypto scammer are everywhere and here in the Philippines many scammers are popping like mushrooms. Sometimes you will be shocked that millions to billions of pesos in form of bitcoin were already taken away by scammers. Scammers are everywhere and there are others who have already collected more than the Crypto Queen Scammer have taken. Crypto Scammers are very hard to catch and I dont think that the Crypto Queen Scammer will be caught. There are many victims since people are greedy and wanted to earn money in an easy way.

Nothing gets the clicks or views more than a good story of fear, uncertainty and doubt. The BBC, which has largely steered clear of reporting on crypto, has aired a documentary on the notorious ‘Crypto Queen’ who made a fortune on a scam ICO.

https://bitcoinist.com/bbc-air-documentary-on-notorious-crypto-queen-scammer/
These are some of the reasons why people who still does not know anything about crypto, doubts it's use. It's because they don't understand the true system behind, instead their mindset is influenced by these negative news that portrays crypto as scamming scheme.

In addition, the network BBC is quite influential to the innocent public. Governments would begin looking and possibly regulating again its use.
With how people who don't know much about crypto investment, this kind of news will deliver doubts to proceed or even enter this type of market. It will be dictated that this venue is full of high risk that shouldn't be followed.
Also, with government knowledge about such amount it will bring attentions and actions will be taking around as expected.

Bad news for bitcoin and many ICO still running today with BBC air documentary, I think BBC only show us bad or scam ICO and never give or publish how many success ICO have higher price after listing, its not fair with only show with negative side of ICO and never publish how much benefit of ICO so far and how many people get much profit with investing in ICOs.

if you define "successful" as creating a project that is used in real life and solving a problem in the real world then there has never been any "successful" ICO and they have all been scams since none of them has ever delivered anything.
but of course when you define "success" as being pumped a lot initially before they get dumped then 90% of ICOs were successful!
Depends - there has been a couple of projects that have actually delivered what they said they where going to deliver, not all of them are actually scams!

Take a look at companies like Pundi X, they said they were going to become huge in singapore and they were going to release their own payment systems, and that's exactly what they did.

Not all ICO's have been scams, I'd say 95% are though.

Hah! This is not the kind of media we want on btc or crypto after the recent very positive news we have been getting, I hope this will not scare off aspiring investors from British and surroundings not to invest on crypto or btc anymore, BBC there where a lot of good news on btc lately why they don't report on those, can't just concentrate on reporting only the bad side of it, lots of shady stuff going on with fiat too.
Didn't know BBC is Anti-crypto  Smiley

This might also be a sponsored news don’t be surprised by the government that would not want cryptocurrency to actually thrive. Why is it that bbc has never carried anything positive ever since cryptocurrency has been having positive impact in the life of people over the world and even around them, but I guess they will do anything for money, even if it requires that they deny the truth.

Cryptocurrency is not the only means by which scam happens, scam occurs on different ways at large even in fiat also which I think that the largest scam is even the ones that occurs in fiat. So, I think this news should just be ignored because this is a way to just create unnecessary fear and doubt to the world out there about cryptocurrency, and which I think that we all need to also start bombarding the news spaces with lots of positive things about cryptocurrency.

Not sure why would they do a piece on some pretty controversial people like Craig, I wouldn't have minded seeing a documentary on CW's fight against the government

Wright is only involved in civil actions, of which he is the complainant. He's not "fighting the government", his whole angle on cryptocurrencies is that they aren't designed in a way that is easy for governments to control them (which was a deliberate design feature on Satoshi's part)

The click hunger journalists don't care about the means to meet their ends, it's all about that bottomline.

Unfortunately I guess this article will resonate with people that invested at the peak of the market and lost money on crypto, they'll feel good about themselves that "crypto is a scam". Sad.
That's actually pretty true, a lot of people are into that justice sort of thing and it'll definitely make them feel better after watching a scam get "exposed" on television. People are weird.

Not sure why would they do a piece on some pretty controversial people like Craig, I wouldn't have minded seeing a documentary on CW's fight against the government, would have been better then this crap.

Anyway, it doesn't look that badly made, most of the information seems pretty accurate and I'm sure it'll get views and clicks for them.

this is all that they've come up?
there are hundreds of coins in this forum open for them to investigate but they focus on onecoin.

Maybe because it's one of the biggest scams out there with billions of dollars gathered from suckers from all over the world?

Basically, if they will focus on multiple potential coins in the market, they wouldn't have the opportunity to focus on the vulnerabilities of all of the coins, if that is so, they need to spent hours of studying in order to find holes, and for them not be tracked out in the market. Though, each and every coin in the market should always be updated to security issues and fraud issues to avoid being breached.

It'd be nice if there were transcripts for these podcasts, I don't feel like spending hours on listening to them on the off chance I might learn about something new.

So weird that the media won't get within 100 feet of pointing out that Wright is an obvious scammer, but seems to have no problem doing so for onecoin.  Onecoin is obviously a scam, but not more obviously than wright...

That's because he was given too much credibility initially, and wasn't immediately and unanimously denounced as a fraud.

actually within just HOURS of CW publishing he was satoshi and that he got a few people and media to meet with him to see his proof..
.. that proof was immediately denounced as fraud.
he published a signature that was pretending to be freshly created by CW whilst with the people he met. but instead it actually was something he simply copy/pasted from the blockchain 5 years before his claim.

so yes people did inform the community that he faked the proof.
what actually went wrong after is that a social drama frenzy occured where all those who highly invested in CW could not believe they been duped so they doubled down their stupidity by still trusting and defending him, in fear if they actually admitted to themselves they been duped they have to admit they will never see returns on their investments again. thus they went along with his ruse hoping he could keep things alive long enough to make profit to make returns to investors

you see it happen in other investment scams too. companies back up and hang on and drag their feet trying to keep hop a live rather than just cut their losses compltely

there was this one users who pmed me about her as journalist Thomson Reuters covering ICOs  doing a special report on ICO scams. his name is Gertrude aka Carousel. it never thought she were serious. didnt reply to his pm though but if this is all they got. they gotta try Wright instead because that at least doesnt need minimum investigation.

LMAO, BBC dubbed Dr Ruja Ignatova the notorious crypto queen when Onecoin didn't even have a blockchain! It was all smoke and mirrors, duping greedy investors, blinded by the promised profits. I agree Craig Wright is worse. Maybe because of the millions of dollars lost they dubbed her queen.

This should be watch by the peole who want to invest on an ICO a very interesting documentary. I'll add this to my list  soon. If we watch this documentary, we will have an Idea on which kind of ICO are not real and will eventualy turn into scam someday.  every sweet words has a  bitter result we better  not to  fall with it especially in crypto  industry  where most bad people are not gonna hesitate to get a  dollar from us  if they were free to do  it.

The Mainstream Media will always play to the tune of the Whales. When they wish people to sell their Bitcoin, they will push the negative agenda narrative and make people afraid, so they will sell. This is happening all the time then when they wish people to FOMO in and purchase BTC, they will start showing all these positive reviews about Bitcoin and the Blockchain in general. I do not trust the Mainstream Media at all as it is an instrument of the larger pockets and was created to subdue the Masses.

Of course, FUD in different types and magnitudes always get the attention it is looking for. Something as bad as OneCoin can always sell or take some traffic or eyeballs from the audience compared to maybe extolling the virtues and benefits of Bitcoin. Definitely, OneCoin is a bad scam and this is one of the biggest fishes so far. I am not updated so much with what happened to the charges against the people behind this mess but I am sure that soon the reach of the law will be upon them. Back in 2016, i was invited to be a part of this ponzi cryptocurrency but I declined because back then the program was already gathering a lot of bad reviews and warnings from authorities. The key element why OneCoin gathered as many millions at it wanted is, of course, greed! And we are still greedy today hence more ponzi-related programs can be coming our way.
