Are people trying to revive this delicious coin? I'm pretty sure I've lost my wallet file from years ago since I've changed laptop so many times. If it moons I'll go cry in a corner.  Grin

We've gone ahead and listed this delicious coin on CoinGather.

BTC, LTC and DOGE markets.

Im hung on block 1518763. Looks like it is from Sunday. Any luck mining anything lately? I currently have mine running but the client still thinks it is out of sync

Old school retargeting algo which only adjusts difficulty every 60 blocks.

Diff quadrupled last adjustment, so blocks aren't being found as fast. 10 more blocks to go until next readjustment, which is probably going to be X 0.25, then blocks will be found faster, probably too fast, which will quadruple the diff again, and so on. Bouncy, bouncy, bouncy.

Cryptochainer still has a zipped bbq blockchain download available.

It's announcement thread last mentioned bbqcoin on January 22, 2016, so the network was probably still up and running about a year ago.

If the creator of the coin said it's not meant to be traded, or sold/bought, it's meant to be eaten. What's the point of it still being here. I doesn't seem like the dev is currently active here anymore.

Ergo, open source hijacking.

BBQ is now my coin.

See how that works?

Let me who all want to help reboot this classic.

Are you claiming the cryptsy wallet from MicroGuy? Do you know how many coins it contains?

Yeah, haven't been able to get into it yet.  No idea what's in there.

What's the problem has big vern encrypted it, or is it corrupted?

The repo is still online: https://github.com/overware/BBQCoin

It's extremely out of date but I have a node running from the last time I compiled it in late 2014.

Interesting. If you download master.zip from that repo, the file dates are actually slightly earlier than the 'archived' master.zip I have.

02-20-14 10:43  -->> current repo
04-01-14 09:26  -->> ZIP I downloaded in 2014

The only difference between the two archives (based on file sizes) is README.md

Source from 18th August 2014: http://www.almightycoins.org/download/bbqcoin-master.zip

The source was probably last changed well before this, but it's the date I downloaded the snapshot.
