So, Original Poster, how are your friends connecting to each other? Are they running as a darknet not revealing their IP addresses on IRC so that Luke-Jr won't notice them having fun?
How many times should i really say this?
- It was NOT Luke-Jr that killed that chain!!

Are there any particular games / kinds of fun you are using them for that game-players might be interested in?
Its deeead!

Luke-Jr, your attack involved mining coins, right? How many do you have, and how much fun would you be willing to trade them for? Various kinds of fun including MUD gold, CrossCiv gold, and various other "dead" (read: darknet?) cryptocurrencies might be gatherable for such a trade.
Ok, i'll say it ONE MORE time, it was not Luke-Jr that killed that chain ffs...
Players are interested in how many coins are out there and what kinds of fun (especially games) people are having with them, and of course in actual prices as in what kinds of in-game items one gets in what kinds of games for how many BBQcoins...

I have not set up a contract for them yet in the Digitalis Open Transactions server simply because for low-hashpower chains I prefer to ithat tokens in the server be backed by coins that are secured by at least one checkpoint in the blockchain... Hence the request that you put in a more up to date checkpoint (or, as I said, I will release my more recent checkpoint version).

EDIT: I have put my updated-checkpoint version of BBQcoin, bbqcoin-15-Sep-2012.tgz online for downloading in a new folder named BBQcoin in my Sourceforge files download page: https://sourceforge.net/projects/galacticmilieu/files/

-MarkM-

Beleave me, its gonna be killed again if you start the chain up again ..

BBQcoin is a dead coin, leave it that way..

BBQcoin alive and well.. You lose Smiley

BBQcoin.org bought out from previous owner for a few reasons but the main one is to invest a portion of my own capital into the promotion of this wonderfully stubborn coin.

New thread here for ease of communication and to support community growth.

WARNING SCAM POOL ALERT
www.bbqpool.net

This pool has neglected to payout over 400 BBQ coins to me from Feb7&8th

I sent 3 emails to them over the past week and they have NOT responded.

There is NO problem with my wallet it is synced fine and has been open and running fine for months.
I have no problem with other BBQ pools nor with sending coins to exchange

I'm not sure whats the issue is but I have been mining in this pool for a while and I'm getting my payouts properly even till now. Check if you are using the forked version of BBQCoin Wallet.

I have no idea what you are telling me.

My NEW wallet works, I can't get the -qt to read my original wallet, which has all the coins in it.
I can see my wallet number in the block chain and it's payouts, but retreiving them is a no go and has been for a very long time, since some foundation took them over.

all I get when trying to open/use the original wallet is:
"EXCEPTION: 11DbExeption
Db::open Invalid argument
.......\bbqcion-qt.exe Runaway exception"

it then bombs out totally.

Have you been able to import your private key from original wallet address to your current wallet?
importprivkey [label]

Can you use an older qt to retrieve the privkey?

Or you can search for the problem on google like I did, seems this problem is not isolated to you. try here or here

Wallet.dat sounds corrupt, use your backup wallet.dat file to recover your coins.

yeah, show them all, this crypto coin junk is a scam.

pump and dump. Keep talking about it.

Just like the fraudsters on the NYSE, who are all in jail.

You people just make everyone who says crypto coins have no future, the only ones with any sense at all.

are you saying, now, that these coins are pump and dump ?

c'mon, say it out loud for all to hear.

I still have 750K (wallet size) worth of bbqcoins in my wallet, the qt won't read because the new devs, changed everything.
I have asked many times how to recover it, but they just sit there, thumbs up their ass, and I am out all that mining time.
Blockchain says I have them, but no way to get my wallet to show them.
Once again, Thanks a lot.

I thought they were crap the minute my software wouldn't read the wallet.
