Really need more brainstorming with the name situation. Kinda hard when the trolls out-voice you and dominate/derail discussions. I really hope windjc/CZ and team are coming up with something interesting. I am fine either way. Just like the innovation and progress here.

If you guys are still considering new names for BBR I've been thinking of a couple of suggestions.

I've been looking at Latin words for names because the Roman currency was probably the first worldwide currency to exist. Something that had value everywhere.

Gold has always been scarce and valuable. Gold is mined and traded as money. The Aureus was the most valuable coin the the early Roman empire from what I understand. And the symbol for gold of course being 'Au'.

Boolberry itself is not necessarily a bad name. But I guess it depends on what your goals are and what sort of message you want to convey with the name of your currency. As a name in many contexts Boolberry could be a great name. But there's no question that some disregard Boolberry simply because they dislike the name.

One reason I tend to prefer Latin roots over other names like Rune is that some people might associate a name like Rune with a 'fantasy' type image. Like something from a game, or series of novels. Again, it's a solid name, but I'm not sure if it will really click with some people.

On the other hand, the Latin names might go over the head of some people as well. But with the Latin names, they're at least firmly rooted in human history and have a strong association with value and money.

Just thought I'd throw my suggestions in here. I like the work CZ has been doing and I've been impressed with what he's managed to accomplish.

Where are sussex and iCEBREAKER when you need them? You know there was a poll recently where the whole world voted for the name to remain Boolberry? If the name is changed they will all dump and move on.

I never generalized all BBR supporters. You took that quote out of context, as I was talking about a few specific people in a different thread.

I wouldn't really consider the second quote trolling. I believe BBR's potential value will be severely limited by its name.

It's really pathetic seeing these XMR guys out trolling BBR. Instead of trying to build something up, they just want to tear others down.

Oh did I just generalize a couple posts as the whole of XMR? Sorry! I know that's only valid reasoning against XMR's competitors, not XMR itself. Could these BBR supporters stop defending BBR?! Everyone should judge it by the most trollish aspects of its most trollish supporters... smh

Yep. Until price goes up and hashrate goes up. So whatever miner that is market dumping BBR would better be served attacking the price later rather than now. Right now they are completely outnumbered. Just wanted to let him/them/her/you 😉 know theyre not being ignored.

If it weren't for enemies and other things that not BBR's/rune's/secore's/vortex's/CZ's fault, imagine where this coin would be.

In 60 years, BBR/rune/secore/vortex vets can tell their greatgrandkids, "I remember when they tried to destroy us, but look where we are now", and the greatgrandkids will say, "Shut the fuck up, Greatgrandpa.  Give us some more BBR/rune/secore/vortex, and go change your fucking diaper."
