I must concur with the OP on this the above initial coin offering mentioned where either scam or failed project.
I almost ventured into pro fish project but on another taught I withdrew.

We really need to be more patient and thorough in determining ICO project choices. Many ICO projects have difficulty finding funds. So they will fail and potentially commit fraud. Do research and fully understand the white paper.
There is need to establish a system where there will always be guaranteed that once an ICO fails, the investment will be returned at least 70% because I understand that some money must have gone into the project development before realizing that it’s a failed project.Moreover, many ICOs needs to do their study very well to be sure that whatever project they are presenting to the public see the light of the day and not a baby project that will be of no use to the public.
That phrase should be the first thing every cryptocurrency initiate should understand and know.
If the bear market lasts another year, I think that the number of scams will decrease. Investors will not actively invest and scammers will have less motivation to create scam projects.
I agree with you perfectly that there are many scam coins around because everyone wants to make profit and will go great length to scam people just for money. Hence, investors need to be careful.
Caution is the slogan of 2019 and 2018. I am sure that most people stopped investing in cryptocurrency at all. Now the chance to lose your money is especially great, or rather just to give money to scam projects.

Some projects have disappointed many prize hunters and investors who joined. We must be careful before deciding on an ICO project choice. Many fake ICOs use fake data to deceive many people. Better do research and don't give up.
I think the increasing crypto is sometimes increasing as well as fraud. because the market today is different from before. Nowadays, there are many people who already know Crypto and sometimes they are certainly looking for ways to be able to make a profit, and they don't think long before establishing a project.
Yesterday's situation with the Biterex exchange and their unfortunate first Launchpad showed to us, that even experienced exchanges do not always carry out a thorough analysis of projects.
I think it's not just a project analysis carried out by a team from a large exchange. they can get away from team analysis. I think the preparations made from the project are already fairly good, it makes us even deceived, even anyone.

Now that most of the people are well aware of scam ICOs, scammer has found another way to scam people. I have observed 3 projects till now which I will list here and give you a highlights how they scam people, specially the newbie.
1. Privcy
Privacy was a free airdropped coin which was distributed freely over the community for helping promoting the project. Later, they decide to reward more to the holder of the coin in airdrops. The more coin you hold, the more airdrop coin you get. Newbies started to buy coins for getting more airdrop coin and DEV were selling their coin. I am sure they had a lot of fake accounts participating in the Airdrop. Can you believe they scammed people in such a way? Now, the project is died, 24 hour volume is- $620 which was less than $100 couple of weeks ago.
2. Profish
Profish was an ICO which came into the exchange before the bounty end. They were listed in mercatox and used to have some fake volumes. I don't know what happened to their ICO but they sold a lot of coins through mercatox and later, the price is now 1 or 2 satoshi from 650 satoshi. This is also a dead project. They scammed people.
3. Helios Protocol- Be aware
Helios Protocol is now airdropping coin to their community. This attract my eyes when I see user vectisitch was vouching the project. He was a moderator in privcy, so, there's no doubt that both of the project are from same person and this helios shit is also going to scam money. I want to alert you guys not to invest in this scam project.

I didn't know about such projects. Thanks for the info, will be very careful with all these scam ICOs and bounty campaigns. I hope that in the future there would be less scam projects because of the regulation of crypto sphere and the appearance of IEOs and STOs. Today we already witness some change in ICO launch standards and this cannot but please us!

Many ICO that have been listing utilize fake volumes and a higher rate than ICO to cheat many investors on their sales after ICO finishes the price is like the price of garbage
