The funds required for the startup to begin will not be there, investors will not fill the presales, and scams will rule.
I just don't agree that scams rule in a bear market. There are actually more scams during a bullish market based on what I have experience ever since.

And yeah, what is happening right now depends on how people approach it. Some will and leave and few would stay, only few would invest on startups presales or launches but what more important is what does the project offer or what is their utility. Because a strong project with an amazing utility will stand whatever kind of market it is up to. And this bear market will always turn to be good for those who stays and put their patience and hope on each of their respective projects and it will never be  a waste of time.

During a bear market, almost every new project is going to fail immediately.
The funds required for the startup to begin will not be there, investors will not fill the presales, and scams will rule.
What could have a small chance to succeed, now has zero.
It takes backing from big exchanges and connections with investors for a project to succeed.

I guess it really depend on the project itself, if it is a solid project, unique with a use case, then even if it is started on a bear market, there could be a chance that it will succeed in the future.

Having said that, I never stopped looking and will keep investing during the bear market appropriately.

It's better if you are going to invest on projects that have established themselves though. Again, there could be some new projects that will not fail, however, it's going to be very difficult to find it. Unless you really know the people behind and believed on them.

Besides the new cryptocurrencies, from my perspective, I'd look more at cryptocurrencies that hold utility, keep developing and have a serious community.
True, it's caused by when a token or coin has utility and this can sustain for long term rather than the token that only peg with the hype that can gone anytime. The utility can make the platform has sustain income and this will make the project can sustain for long term as well unlike the project that has no utility usage. Im also prefer to holding the utility token instead of a bad token without any utility token. So many no utility tokens have death.

yes that's right. For some beginners, they think that the bear market is a terrible market, even if they always hope that the bear market will never return after leaving. But for experienced people this will actually be the best moment to create bigger profit opportunities because there is a bear market all markets are cheap. Here is a great opportunity to buy as many coins as we want. The hardest thing in dealing with all market conditions is when we hold them back.
I can't even blame them for why some people are too worried about the bear season. Why? You can't really imagine losing your money because you bought coins during the Bullrun and then the market went declining. That is definitely a hard time for them, I'm sure.
However, for some people, this bear market gives a buying opportunity for them.

Buy the dip, and sell it at ATH.
Investors are preferred having this. And to see that this kind of mindset gives them room for success.

If you haven't sold your coins at high, then with the onset of a bear market, you automatically become an investor who just watches the market and calculates how much he could buy coins at a low price now. If you have a lot of stablecoins, then the bear market is a good chance to buy promising coins that will certainly give a good profit when the bull market comes.

A bear market is an opportunity for long-term investment, which means that currencies with good market capacities will hold up in the long term in addition to being unique and problem-solving, in other words it is better not to invest in new currencies during this period.

When the matter turns into a bull market, the investment changes due to the ease of money flow into the market and thus the ease of obtaining rapid fluctuations.

In general, most altcoins fail in the long run.

Bear market is a 50 - 50 chance of investment unlike bull that gives profit in every investment. It takes a lot of courage to want to invest during a bear market because the market seems to be constantly going down without knowing when it will be back up.
Alts are the worst hit during the bear period,  and also the best time to buy especially alts.
If btc goes lower than the current price, alts will bleed the more, and then will be the perfect time to reshuffle your portfolio.
So am waiting on the side lime to see what happens in the next coming days base on what people speculate the price of btc will be.

There is no doubt the altcoins which are strong enough on utility and fundamental basis are capable to survive in any kind of bearish market conditions and this is the most important thing we must always consider before investing our hard working money during this bearish market although It is very unfortunate to see that newbies do not consider such things while investing in altcoins, they prefer to believe in the hype rather than believe in facts and invest their money in shit coins.

Everything corner in the crypto space will look disgusting once we go deep into a bear market and fear in investors will increase, I remember how the last bear market felt like, you won't even want to invest money in any project, all hope will be nearly lost and some who held on will give up, selling at a loss, thinks don't always look encouraging in a bear market.

If you are willing to take the risk, trying leverage trading will be a good way to make use of the bear market signals.   It is not for the fainted heart but sure I'm not the only one who thought of trying this kind of approach to make money. Its only very risky when the market is going sideways but you know the market is going downwards in in bear market which could be less risky.  This is just one approach one could try.

Not all active community are really legit, since they can paid a bunch shill accounts.

Do you mean they buy accounts on Telegram and Twitter? I think it is easily observed. A genuine user base takes time to create.
There is marketing for sure and shills are often spamming so much as they did with Doge and Cardano, or earlier with XVG, Iota, Nano, and anything else was pumped.

Lack of funding shouldn't be the reason why some brand new project fails in an immediate manner. If the project or the founders believe and built their ideas/concepts thoroughly, they won't stop only because of that. Besides, a truly innovative project will earn its own merits. If the project truly solves the masses' problems and offers something that is worth keeping an eye on, the project itself will sustain with the community.

Although, ideally in a bear market, you should keep funds in a project that has already proved to stand its time and has been battle-tested. I won't be taking much a greater risk if the whole market sentiment is bad.
And what better example than bitcoin, as far as we know Satoshi developed bitcoin on his own without any help and without any external funding, he did everything alone and he was able to create the first and still the best coin in this market, and yet the developers of this day require millions and millions of dollars when they are working with examples coming from tens of thousands of open source projects? I do not believe it, anyone using that excuse is not really a developer and just wanted to obtain some money out of this market.

Bear times are really a hard time for all the coins including bitcoin but bitcoin and few established coin will later increase leaving the new projects down. For now as we see the market is in red and every coin is in red, it is a survival for the project soon when bull will come. Investment in projects that has utility purposes is better because they will always be needed and they have to increase again after falling.
Yes, this bear market will never be easy for us, but it always brings big opportunity to enter the market, and for those who want to accumulate more potential coins to add in their portfolio. Sad to say, not all realized this. Others chose to escape and leave the market because of panic and that's how this bear market become useless for them. But for those who remained calm and smart, this bear market is the start of a new challenge, and only those projects who have long term vision and real use cases end up surviving, while others fail and lose their value along the way.

I agree, it does depend on how we approach it. Also, it also depends on one's personal capabilities and knowledge. There are always profits to be gained in every phase of the market(bearish/bullish). That is, if you know what you are doing. Now, talking about new projects, most of the developers that really know what they are doing will not launch or postpone as much as they can when the market is bearish. Which is why it is pretty hard to find good projects in a bearish market. And if you manage to find one, it is either you are lucky enough or you have put extensive amounts of effort in searching for gems in a bearish cycle. Which I personally think isn't worth it. So what I often do at bearish seasons is keep the number of assets I hold to a minimum and just slowly accumulate or DCA. not just because it proves to he quite rewarding but mainly because it saves me a lot of trouble and gives less stress.

Bear period is pretty hard on projects, both already existing ones and the newly launched or about to be launched suffers a lot because of the situation, many investors are unwilling to invest because of the general fear especially on alts projects. However, there are few projects who manage to be successful in their sale despite the bear season. it all depends on how good the projects are and the community support they have. overall i believe we can gain a lot in bear market as well.

You're right, new projects will have a hard time getting exposure due to the current bear market. only projects with strong funding and backers will survive (new project case study).

But if you are more observant in looking at opportunities, in fact the current market conditions are very favorable (if you enter into projects that really have utility), as soon as possible, if the market returns to normal, the token price of these projects will increase sharply.

It would be foolish at this point to pour money into new projects. During a bear market, established projects also struggle to survive and overcome, let alone new project released during bear season. I think at this point we should not spend too much time learning about new projects, focus on projects that have a long history of achievements and reputation in the market to avoid risks and multiply opportunities double your future wealth. When the bull market comes we will have a lot of new projects created and we will have no shortage of opportunities to invest, so just try not to lose money in the bear market and get through it.

That's Bitcoin and why you open a thread in altcoin discussion? lol.
There's no new crypto will have such all criteria you mentioned above, almost all new project only copy-cat the other coin utility. They're rarely developing, only develop how to get listed on big exchanges or money oriented. Not all active community are really legit, since they can paid a bunch shill accounts.
