now it is increasingly difficult to detect ICO projects categorized as fraud / scams. if you are looking for an ICO project through the bitcointalk platform, the first best way is to choose a trustworthy bounty manager. but this is not enough, you have to look carefully at the crew behind the project, understand the roadmap and whitepaper offered. social media can also be a consideration, what content they share, if there is no update, it should be wary of. and most importantly if you have found an ICO project that is suspected of being a fraud/scams, it's great if you report it to the moderator in the forum or give a warning in the thread. stay cautious and good luck!

If there is a SCAM project, what contents do you expect from its social media accounts and bitcointalk thread?

If you have a doubts in a projects you can research the team name's in social media's or Google to make sure the team who handled the project is legit not copy paste, and you can also check the scam accusation thread on Bitcointalk because that thread is very helpful many scam projects there are reported and you can check if the project you participate is scam or legit.

It is very easy to detect scam project. You just need to look at team participants more closely. Research their social network accounts, contact them. A big plus, or not just big, a HUGE plus if ico has its own established office, so you can visit team and talk to them personally.

I think these mediums alone are enough to detect scam projects. You explore further by going through their website and whitepaper. Check for plagiarism and perform a thorough background check on the team members. You also run a test on their domains and also joining their groups.

Maybe you will see the first time from ANN thread.
Because in this forum we can see ready to trade fraudulently it will get RedTrust.
And there is always an advertisement that the ICO is a SCAM.
that information is probably the way to know if the project is indeed a scam and there have been many people who knew it. but for the bounty hunter and investors certainly had a special way of ico for knowing a good project ico. as in the composition of the team of experts, and the concept is applied. the most prominent is the concept that isn't likely to happen. It is most easy project indicates a scam or not. start now invest only in projects that already have a product that's very convincing.

aware of SCAM fraud from this type of scheme, This includes fraud, because this recruitment scheme cannot last forever. There are times when recruitment will be saturated and new members at the base of the pyramid will lose all their investments. The sample is easy from multi-level marketing guise companies that sell expensive products without obvious benefits.

everyone is professional now. this is the technology of the future called blockchain and cryptocurrency market will come across a lot. because everyone can do what they want. however, if team and project information is investigated in detail on social media, you can achieve this. you have to believe in the truth and honesty of team members. you should chat with the team about the project. do not invest in projects that you think are risky.

Most scam projects are indeed hard to dictate. Well, most times from their community you will be able to know if they have anything to offer or not. In this crypto space, one ought to be careful

The number of scam projects makes us have to always be vigilant, even they look real and convincing, there have been many stories of users who have been affected by scams and even I have been hit with scams several times, the most important thing is to always think positively and take lessons.

In order to begin analyzing projects in some way, you need to learn how to check these projects, each person does it according to their scenario, but we need to create a single standard that would identify these bad people.

We from Alethena try to help you with insightful reports about projects including post-ICO tracking (yes, we just started being operational). Our report provides you with an indication about the risk to invest in the respective project. All feedback is very welcome! https://mvp.alethena.com

If in the first I already knew that there was a project intended to scam people then I will tell everyone about that thing so that they will become more aware of what they are doing.

It is difficult for you to decide whether they are scam or real before a project is successful. There are some projects they may not be scam at the beginning, but later ico did not succeed and was considered as “scam” .

The scams projects are hard to understand. There has been an application software which has invented to detect scams. You can search it on google to get more informations. I hope it would be able to meet up our expectations.

There is nothing hard to understand there! If the team does not look like one that can deliver, then stay out. If there is no product and all they give you is an empty promise, then zoom off. If they cannot just answer simple technical question on their ANN thread and they keep blabbing nonsense, then run with a lightening speed. You do not need the social media to identify scam, these few things alone would be enough for you to make the right decision.
Yes, it is always written boldly on the wall when a project is a scam and when a project is a great one. You have said it all, and most especially for me, I focus more on the team first as with that alone, you can quickly deduce all you need to know about the project authenticity and prospect before even deciding to go through all the technicalities which sometimes can be boring.

Give me a good team and a good product to invest in, and that is all that it takes. If those things are not available then staying away from ICO contribution and bounty participation is highly recommended. Instead of wasting our resources with random projects, just staying away and watching for a complete package must be a wise idea to be followed by all the crypto hunters.

Scams target people in different walks of life. It is hard to distinguish scam projects because they are taking advantage of new technology and offers return that hard to resist. They look like the real thing and scammers are more smarter by creating commodities that convince of shelling out money or personal details. Always take time to do research and confirmations.
No research will help you. Scammers are constantly changing schemes and improve methods of deception. If the project immediately offers a huge income is a primitive scheme which is aimed at very greedy people. But the project can work for several years and after will collect a large amount of money will disappear. Can you predict that?

you won't be probably able to tell based on the content on social media. You need to dig in the team and see if there are real people behind it who are genuine

Now it's getting harder and harder to determine whether the project is a scam. This is due to the fact that bounty hunters have become smarter and see the mistakes of scammers.
