I've been gambling for almost 10 years now, I used to be an addict to poker and other card games but now I do gamble Occasionally. Normally, If others heard about gambling they'll probably be saying bad things about it *which is a fact*. Though, based from my own experiences. Gambling do benefits me in a way, especially Mentally and Emotionally. Mentally, As a teenager who started to gamble at the age of 15. I don't care about losing, I don't value money. But as I grow, Gambling did really change my perspective towards money and decision making. I became more mature and I must say that I did enhance my strategic awareness. Emotionally, I must say that gambling did really control my temper. I don't why, but whenever I play poker my state of mind became so calm. Even after I lose or win I'm calm and happy. At the age of 19, I learn how to control myself. Mistakes are part of our life which really is good set back for a good comeback!.

How about you guys? What are the benefits you get from Gambling?

But, I highly suggest not to become addict to this industry.

The main benefit in gambling is that you can earn a lot higher amount of money eventhough the chance of winning is not determined because in gambling it is a matter of luck and being good in startegic ways. You should apply it in order to have a big income.

You mentioned you are gambling for 10 years and telling us not to get addicted lol. There is no benefits from gambling it just turns most of the people's mind for greed they start thinking that if i double or triple i can live a jobless life but they don't see that in gambling one can even lose. Always control gambling or stay away

Most people can be affected this way, but some people are benefited from gambling, like OP. If you start gambling trying to learn and worring less about money you can improve your mental skills. Gambling is very tempting, if you are able to pass a personal test like that (temptation), you are able to pass for almost any difficult and situation in your life.

I'd rather not to try gambling if it is just about gaining mental skills. There is a lot of ways on how you could have such skills, i.e. is in Trading, you could improve your mental on this one by analyzing the price history of a certain coin if it is going to have a dump or pump on the next day, something like that.

you cannot win from gambling if you play long. make the game short.

Oh really, do you heard about pro gambler who are earning their bread and butter from gambling.

It's all depends on strategy and money management. If you can't manage money doesn't matter how big you are, you will be going to lose.
yes there's some pro gamblers who really enjoying the benefits of having the knowledge with any gambling they played, they know the timing and
they use the opportunities to keep on a green line, personally i got some little earnings too with my sports activity but not that much i'm just
enjoying some games and minimizing my loses and risk.

I think those people who successfully get profit in the long run as a professional gambler is small number only.
Compared to those people who failed make it happen and just get broke in the middle of the journey.
So i can say gambling in the long run still has a little chance profitable. And yeaaa very few benefit there.

Personally, as I mature in gambling, I learn how to control and say its time to go out. But at the beginning of my gambling addiction, since I'm earning huge amount of money back then, I just play and totally wasted all of it. I guess maturity comes when you are left alone money is not everything. When I lose all my money, then I realized that gambling is not the way for me. As I recovered myself then try gambling again, I'm not the same. I learn I need to exit otherwise I will lose. And if I lose, its not that huge amount compared when I was addicted. And like you I'm calm and not hated the people around me. LOL. And I learn not to play like everyday. I have total control on when I like to play. I guess we have the same experienced.

I wonder sometimes if gambling helps my money management. It could help make more rational decisions. Many losing bets are made on emotion rather than objective thinking. Greed is also a big cause of loss for me, which could help me to recognize and mitigate that. It also brings up interesting philosophical questions in terms of whether its moral to gamble and try to win *something for nothing*.

Gambling can carry a negative stigma in terms of western society and culture. I'm not certain where that comes from. Drugs, alcohol, tobacco & many things society seems perfectly "ok" with can be more damaging than gambling. I think I wouldn't mind if my kids or people I know gambled, it could teach good life lessons.

- Naturally when we are teenage we don't care much about money because our parents will cover all of our expenses and spendings.
- Maturity comes with age and when we get out of our teenage age we will start to think about our future and we have to earn ourself to support our expenses which make us to value whatever money we will have in hand

- To become calm we can do many other things rather than getting addicted towards card games.

So I don't think you got any benefit from gambling till now.  Wink

I believe it depends on how the player react everytime they lose a game or money from playing gambling games.  You are lucky you are able to wake up and fix yourself from addiction.  I also agree that gambling have some sort of benefits but people overlooked this benefits in exchange of winning money.  They are blinded by greed, even those who just played to entertain themselves find themselves being hooked due to the promise of possible huge amount of winning.

Worst gambling activities scenario is definitely been influencing those people like this, who really believed that they really benefited by gambling. Possible huge amount was just a promise and not all players will be possible to have, and it's only a part of the gambling game promotions.
