NEM is easily going to be the best altcoin of 2014 and maybe 2015, 2016, and 2017, as well.

NEM, not a clone, sufficient distribution (3000 people) and hasn't yet launched. Might be wise to keep your eye on this coin when it launches late May.

New coin are launched every day most of them want fast n easy cash profit bit to mentioned that there are premine some amount so that they can have easy cash on market.

Other than LTC I prefer NEM  Smiley . OP you will probably not get a stake right now as the ipo is over  Sad but there is a waiting list you can add yourself. There is an audit going on weeding out multiple stakeholders and their stakes will be distributed to people in waiting list.

If you are talking about potential, NEM is the coin you should invest in. Just read the NEM thread and you will see for yourself why people are getting so excited , the number of ideas and features are staggering.

Nothing is certain in life but if I were to bet I will bet big on NEM.

Check out tokyoghetto's investment journal for proof that HBN is one of the best coins so far in 2014.

I think Ethereum will be a good short term investment but it's not a community I would want to associate with (it is unethical).  It's technically a copyrighting coin (journalist coin) like Mastercoin and they'll probably, unfortunately (since it's deceit), will end up suckering impressionable victims to pump it.   Undecided

i think ripple might interest some of you, it's more than just a 'coin', it's a complete payment system with an exchange built in.  you can trade both fiat currency and cryptos in ripple.

anyway, to learn more about it, read here:  http://coinjoint.info/ripple-might-want-pay-attention/ and there are intros and guides here:  https://xrptalk.org/forum/61-faq-and-guides/
