I like the concept behind myriadcoin. I'd like to see if more coins will be developed based on the same idea in the future and if any of them is going to be more successful.

Grain, great pow/pos design , since version 1.5 first coin with truly random superblocks, devs put alot of energy into the code not so much  marketing yet, so extremely under the radar right now.

Thanks everyone for their reply.  Some good info here and I see some FUD as well.  But overall, it helped a lot.  Feel free to add to the topic if you have more coins to recommend.  Hopefully in 2014, we'll see all alts take off together!

!.  Bitcoin:  cause is still works like a charm and is the original, long confirmation time kinda sucks
2.  Dogecoin:  community, inflationary which sucks IMO, and the meme fad might wear off
3.  Digitalcoin:  very professional, capped supply, designed for the long haul and coffee buying usage
I like the idea of NXT, but the release was so fkn shady its not funny.

Why do you keep DogeCoin when you know it is deflationary ? Obviously the price will go down on the long term.

Nxt release was not shady at all, it is just that no one invested in it while the IPO lasted for 2 fucking months.

I didn't invest myself and I am not bitching about it. Don't listen to the losers.

I've slowly come around to the idea of NXT and bought some though I know it will never forge but I like the fact its a very motivated community and they have a good roadmap of where to take NXT

Leprocoin. I think with its characteristics and community this coin has large potential. A couple of exchanges have already added it swisscex.com and that new exchange which looks quite impressive comkort.com. Price is very low at the moment and they are soon to become rare Smiley Apart from that of course theres always that good old trusty dogecoin Wink

Since when is business insider considered reputable?

Since when is actual facts not reputable? I believe in Bitcoin, doesn't mean I don't understand how Bitcoin is distributed at the moment.

+1

Business Insider is a joke! In fact it has been since John Carney was fired, the only person at the company able to put three coherent sentences together.

NXT and Nem. I think Doge has a future due to the community.

NXT is a few months old and the value has risen a lot, so I would really recommend Nem, when it's launched and only a few days old.

I keep promoting it.

Isn't NXT's supply very closely controlled by the 70 or so initial investors who put out very little supply to the market thus keeping price in check? I know NXT is trying hard to build a new platform but what does it matter if no one shows up at the party?

NXT distribution from the 73 investors is A LOT better than the distribution of Bitcoin's/Litecoins between the top accounts and the rest up to the present.

how so?

I truly believe it will be BoschiCoin- there are reasons for it to be unique, however it will not be apparent until it picks up in the coming 3 weeks,  but I wont disrespect your thread by posting the link to it.
