if I look at the current market movements I have become interested in the development of ripple in the future it looks like it will soar and become the best altcoin replacing ethereum which is currently being shifted by the ripple.
The best altcoin at the present situation it will be difficult to predict because last year the price hiked by the end and it sky rocketed ever that nobody has been imagined such an increase in value of Bitcoin this year the prices has depreciated and so those who have invested with a great price are in depressed condition they have no words to say about the cryptocurrency world . to my concept ethereum will be the best altcoin for the year 2020 .The market should start up to get out of the bearish market due to the bear market people have no confidence to invest in any altcoin or else they have to invest and wait for the bullish market . Even if we say anything positively there is no chance to revive untill the bearish market is changed the market is not performing properly due to the bear market . I hope that all these will change by next year only we can be patient and wail for the bull market .

Still ETH will dominate the market I think but not the current ethereum I say, it might be the ethereum 2.0 that will going to be introduce by Vitalik very soon. We should wait for it and expect the best as they say.
The most surprising thing can actually come and overtake you by that time Crypto is just a more of who has the best scalability users and freedom and once there is a better coin for that people will make a close eye switch but for me i think ripple eth eos tron verge and so on will be big players by that time but lets wait and see
I think Ethereum would still the best altcoin in 2020 because of the upgrades in the line about POS ans sharding. The roadmap is clear that will start in 2019 up to 2021. With this upgrade, investors will finally say that Ethereum investment is worth the wait.

Bitcoin will stay strong and ETH for sure, but privacy coins are also very appreciated of investors, like Monero.
