What a mess! From what I saw each one points a currency, I admit that some are promising, but most of them are a lot of shitcoins.
Let's face it... Indicate the currency, say the relevant implementations and why buy it instead of others.

True that. but there are really some of those that you tend to hope it will dominate especially if you have some of them. I use to hold 150K STRs in hopes that i will be huge but turned out shit in the end lol. but two altcoin i like the most is Litecoin and Monero. Monero seem to have huge community support as well and the first to offer untraceable.

Monero has some potential , LTC is not very innovative, the time of acapella coins are over.

Now investors need some more innovation, not just copycats.

Even BTC and LTC can have new innovations when it be required, I guess.

Thats why NXT, NEM, IOTA, Ethereum are better investments.

A good potential investment for 2016, is Gulden.
https://www.bittrex.com/Market/Index?MarketName=BTC-NLG

I am not a bagholder.

Why:
They are innovating with low resources. Upcoming project is instant confirms and permanent double spend protection. Imho, one of the very few legit coins that strives further than just plain value, yet "snowed in" under so many shitcoins these days.
Just look at the price. It's highly undervalued...

EDIT: forgot the WHY-part

I think Ethereum has some potential Beside the long adapted coin (Doge,DGB,VPN..etc)
Before all these coins bitcoin will strive to go up

I think WARPcoin will be a great investment for 2016. New coin, with impressive vpn and sync features coming in v2 (under development right now). It just got on it's first exchange today here:

https://btcpool.exchange/Market?pair=WARP/BTC

Check out Warpcoin, you'll be glad you did.

I go for Bitbay.
Bitbay has a developer with a plan.
Their marketing so far is prety much shit, but when the wallet comes out with the market build we will see it spike.

The best altcoin in 2015 would definitely be Dash. It has raisen 60% in value since November, and is continuing the trend.

I've made good money investing in it.

When will CBX be listed on Bittrex or Poloniex?  That seems critical now that Cryptsy is biting the dust.

Oh, "any altcoin that worked for evacuating Cryptsy" will feature a pump'n'dump, to get rid of "them Alts".
We have "The Halving Year 2016" so nobody will want to HODl Alts and miss out. Watch DOGE just now, and realise.
Somebody had a awesome deal yesterday on Cryptsy
70 XMG for 21 BTC

Thats a nice deal!

pure speculation . . .
Litecoin - because it seems to follow Bitcoin similar to silver to gold.
Dogecoin - because of the large community and support

I have more research to do on others mentioned in this post.

PRIVATE AND NOT PREMINED: MONERO, AEON, KARBO
2 BTCat: There is an offer - choose all cryptocurrencies noted in this topic, and make vote! Let all will vote for some, the most interesting to investments, cryptocurrencies. Will better visible of expectations/plans

Problem with votes is that one guy would vote with all his shillaccounts or gathering his friends to vote, a coin looks to have many support even when it's nonexistent. So I prefer people just write their own opinion and others can read, make up their mind or take it with a grain of salt. All vote threads are pushed by people creating a temporary hype or even paying others to make a coin look better.

and it is possible to restrict according to the status of the participant of a forum? It will already "cut off" dummy accounts. And the enormous lift-off of one cryptocurrency will specify an artificial rating that is only worse for it

I think one need at least 30 activity points to vote. I didn't have this right until recently.
