I prefer just the great Bitcoin Core. It's the best if you want a fleshed-out version of it. If you want to keep it simple, you would probably want to go with xapo or another web wallet.

Now I know what a desktop wallet is: for example Multibit
Now I know what a online wallet is: for example blockchain

these 2 sentences are correct?

Oh sorry, I thought you're choosing your best wallet. Yes, you're right with that.

hi bitcoin forummers,

Now I know what a desktop wallet is: for example Multibit
Now I know what a online wallet is: for example blockchain

So far, I'm on the right path?

I have to know, because I am goin to put an other question

Please confirm that what I mentioned was right of not

greetz, peter, from the netherlands, time is now: almost half past four in midday (sunday)

Armory is better than Multibit for desktop wallet if your PC supports it. For online, blockchain was the best.

Armory has lots of security features and things that other wallets don't have, but it runs on top of the core, so have it may be troublematic, up to you decide if Armory is the best or not

Armoury is hard for Newbies to work with because of its more complex nature. I would recommend Coinbase or Blockchain...Coinbase more than blockchain because those wallets are virtually immune to Bitcoin heists and hacker attacks.

Yes, I don't recommend Armory to newbies. They should start with easier wallets, such as Multibit. I don't recommend online wallets, too. I don't see any of them safe enough to use.

i use only blockchain.info, i know that a lot of people say that its not secure but i am too lazy to search for any alternatives but i will need to do that at some point in the future

Its secure only Just need to activate two factor authentication to give more secure. Blockchain.info is mostly used by newbies only, Big Bitcoin holders largely go with offline wallets only.

In offline Electrum is now fine among other wallets else go with Paper wallet much security ever.

I use blockchain, I think it's very secure

And what made you come to this conclusion?   It is a hot wallet.    So not the most secure wallet type.

But if your using it make sure to use 2 factor to give it a lot better chance of security.    Which I hope all that use it are using 2 factor.

Coinbase, simple easy and safe Smiley

Actually coinbase is a bitcoin exchange and its not a good idea considering it as a bitcoin wallet for long term usually. Yes I agree its simple and easy because its the first "wallet" I used in my newbie and faucet days, its newbie friendly but in terms of safety, I doubt it. A cold wallet would be better

Now traders had made their websites much user friendly to make the earned bitcoin through their trade site itself. Now when coming to the trusted traders those websites efficiency is low in transaction speed and charges. So better to continue to use Blockchain wallet which has low transaction charges as well recommended transaction speed.

Coinbase, simple easy and safe Smiley

better to use full version wallet where you can back up and restore your private key like blockchain.io, mycellium, etc.

coinbase is biggest company in bitcoin world but we can't predict in future maybe coinbase will be shutdown his service
 Roll Eyes

Lol dude. I don't think so coinbase will closee in future until bitcoin goes out from the world. They introduced purse.Io which very effective in bitcoin savings and they introduced bitcoin debit card as well. These kind of big organization which is working on bitcoin will not get close easily.

The thing coinbase has that most dont is a insurance policy.  If they were compromised like say cryptsy was ... the people should get paid from the insurance policy.   Not many have that.

But your giving up having direct control through private key or seeds, etc.  So you are giving up a lot for that insurance policy.
