I am a huge Electrum fan I use it on my desktop machine and I am very pleased by it.
So when I learned that there is mobile version of Electrum for Android I instantly installed it on my phone.
If you are an Apple user, then I guess the best wallet for you is still BreadWallet or you can test GreenAddress too.

I have looked at electrum for android and it has alot of negative reviews.  Can you say its good for your use?  Have you run into any issues?

I haven't tried to use any other bitcoin wallet like mycelium but after seeing those suggestion as well as the opinions about it from the other people who posted in this thread I am now thinking of using it too as it seem to have a good features especially in terms of security . Ever since I am only using an online wallet provider which is locally based here in my country, they are providing some services like, I can use my bitcoin to reload my mobile credit and using their service I can be able to pay utility bills directly with my bitcoins.

Yeah mycelium is very good wallet. It has featured security by using private keys stored on your phone. You can also try CREDITBIT wallet which is etherum based wallet. It also has the feature of "keystone" file access which uses very encrypted file to unlock your wallet. So it very secure. The swap feature in the wallet will be helpful to convert your Eth to btc or vise versa. Plus added advantage of ICO you can take as CRAB coins. It is emerging and valuable coin.

really interested in creditbit as well!  are there any cellphone wallets for eth?

so Breadwallet and mycellium?  I think breadwallet is also available on android now, has anyone had a chance to try breadwallet on android?
for me mycellium is good wallet for cellphone or mobile wallet, i do not encounter any problem with this wallet and also its very easy to used than other wallet. But i just used this for receiving bitcoin from my once source of income then i will always transfer it to my local bitcoin wallet.

I have been using Mycelium on my Android tablet and I think it's the most feature-rich mobile wallet on the Android platform. For iPhone I have heard good things about Breadwallet and recently the devs have ported it to Android. I haven't used it yet but it must be good software judging by the reviews. On my Windows mobile phone I have been using Copay and it's a simple but solid wallet serving more as a payment app than a full-blown wallet. And for the past few weeks I have been dipping my toes into the Jaxx wallet which can be installed onto both Android and iOS and holds alt coins plus has an in-built Shapeshift conversion service.

I have xapo on my android, I didn't use that wallet too much but it was good and without fees, that attracted me to use xapo. Now they have fees as I read here on the forum, they are changing policy.
Like I said I didn't use it much and I don't plan to do that in the future, lap top is much better place for wallets and everything else.

I prefer BreadWallet for my cell phone as i have an iphone but i do not use it. Cell phones are easy to be lost or stolen so i will not keep my bitcoin saving in them. I also prefer using desktop wallet, my favorite one is Electrum. I mostly avoid web wallets like Xapo and coinbase due to lack of control over the coins if we use those.

Maybe its blockchain will be the best but since the charges are becoming high and high you can use your country wallet if theres one but if don't have one maybe xapo or use offline wallet that you can use on your desktop.

another vote for mycelium.

easy to use, variable fees, uses qt codes.

managed to break my phone with mycelium on it, recovered to new phone with the seeds with everything intact except for address labels.

Yes, there's an update now with xapo and they are now charging outgoing transactions just like the early adoption of blockchain.info. I tried to use xapo's bitcoin wallet app . And I can say it's fine when I started to use it but I'm not using it anymore, I will still prefer to use web wallet because I might lose my phone.

I personally use Mycellium for my older device which serves as a temporary cold wallet due to its security features and Bitcoin wallet created by Andreas Schildbach because of its simplicity and efficiency when it comes to creating transactions especially the fees given that most tx are having some hard time being confirmed. Been using both wallets for 2 years and never have had any problems from using them so far.

Electrum still the best choices as your phone wallet that i think you can fully control with your bitcoin and private keys..
Don't use other online wallet like coinbase or xapo not good idea for now..

In electurm you will be able to have multiple account wallet and you will be able sweap the private keys from it. I have Electrum, coinbase and mycelium in mobile. For faster transaction you could use coinbase than the other wallets which I mentioned above.
You will be have two factor authentication and pin enabling or IP detection in all the popular wallet. You could have use any according to your use.
What are the difference of coinbase from other bitcoin wallet? what you said its more faster to send in coinbase?
I think the speed of the transaction is always depends in your fee in transaction size..
If you are paying small fee than the default fee expect for delay or it takes time before you receive the transacted amount of bitcoin..

I can see the difference between coinbase wallet compared to other wallets, the only difference between them is you can't convert the btc amount in coinbase to fiat currency of local county fiat currency. You can appreciate the option like one of the wallet site same as coinbase which can have those options to convert the btc amount into fiat currency wallet options, which is ready to be cash out at recommended banks or other money transfer services with a minimal charges.

If you have an iPhone I would recommend Breadwallet. I haven't tried Mycelium yet on iOS but the reviews look bad.

Thus far, Bread Wallet and Loaf Wallet have been pleasantly secure and easy to use and pull up.

Coinbase is another great, but less secure alternative (definitely want to store the majority of your assets in a safer wallet)
