The question is incorrect. It depends on algo you want to mine.

The thing about whattomine and coinwarz is that alot of time those top coins that everyone using the sites see, will also be the coins with the highest difficulties and hasrates needed.
Decent for mining for a steady source of income, but not so much if you seek the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow before FOMO kicks in.

Ideally(in my case anyway) you want to mine those hot popular coins like ETH, ZEC, LTC, XMR  even BTC long before they got popular and long before every rig under the sun is chugging away at them.
In this way you can easily accumulate stacks of bags of coin in preparation for the time that coin may be the next big thing. Remember when you could easily mine 20,40,60+ ETH a day no problem with a entry level rig?
Yeah those days are long long gone lol. But if you did and you saved those ETH? You are set in this game.

So that is really imo "The best coins to mine". The ones that will give you the most return for your hash early on, before they hit big. If they dont hit big, that is ok. Part of the risk in crypto.

Hey Socket54 I appreciate you writing this topic and i also agree with the above.
I tried to send you a PM but it does not allow me as i am still flagged as newbie in this forum.

Can you deactivate that setting?

Done, jeez has that been there all these years?! I had no idea, hey who says a newbie cant help you learn something new.

Here is a list of great supported, often updated miners from a well respected developer.

The best coin for mining is how to look.
If you need money on a permanent basis, it's better to mine new shit coins and hand them out until the exchangers appear.
If this is a hobby and there is something to live on, then you can and keep and mine more stable coins.

You're forgetting the most important thing they ask for after being given all the info end explanation: "please give me the bat file" Smiley
Oh yeah, thanks for adding.  Grin
But actually, that's really happened at this time. It seems like they can't find any info on this whole internet network with a ton of info on it of course. Or may they are too lazy.

Really? Wow Smiley What's wrong with us then, being able to find anything we need in few minutes without asking the same questions on the forum over and over Smiley

Yeah, that's the problems. I think everyone has almost the same text query to search on the search engine in the same case. Then why are people asking the same question over and over again? Silly, right?

I guess "silly" is the most polite of all words that you could possibly use Smiley

Don't forget to add whattomine.com as it seems to be a pretty accurate benchmark for mining mainstream coins. It won't always list the most profitable coins but it should easily give newbies an idea of what the prospects and market looks like.

The problem with WTM is newbies seldom realize that information they're looking at is CURRENT and can easily change in a minute or two.

Well that sucks, new born crypto has moved to a paid service. Understandable for them i suppose, alot of research goes into this sorta mining.

Hello,

Yes, newborncryptocoin had to move to a paid service but for a low fee 2usd/month for tables access and 5usd for table access + newcoins list delivered to your mailbox everytime we update the list.
The problem was that there were no donations as you can guess. Of course it takes alot of time everyday to find (and it's a one person website lol), add coins and do maintenance but you also have to add the server cost, template and plugins costs and with making 0$ it never paid the domain, the server, or anything. So sadly no choice there. But I still hope to have the community suppport and see you there Smiley

Happy mining everyone !

It's okay.
Nothing wrong with paid services, mainly you have to work alone. Your daily job must be hard, trying to find the new-born coins, adding it to your web. May you need to do maintenance each week/month, pay the server bill each month/years and pay domain for every year, seem fair enough with paid service.

Good job!

Maybe people who always ask what coins are best to be mined will be a bit disappointed with this post. They want specific, coins name, the best pool to mine it, and even they will asking "how-to-do".  Cheesy
