Good job!

Maybe people who always ask what coins are best to be mined will be a bit disappointed with this post. They want specific, coins name, the best pool to mine it, and even they will asking "how-to-do".  Cheesy

I like this part:
Research coins listed on this page: https://newborncryptocoin.com/new-cryptocurrencies-list/
Alot of these coins you wont hear about anywhere or even know they exist, and they are nicely placed all in one great spot.
Be sure to donate something, alot of time and research goes into this page.

This is actually a really great post with a lot of useful information and insight, thanks for sharing!

I agree that one can not do enough researching on their own. No one really knows what the next big coins will be or which ones will go bust, but those who put in the time and effort to find out as much as they can about the coins ahead of time, their developing teams, etc. will tend to do better than those who take the easy way out and simply are looking for a list.

Check: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=159.0
I typically sort by replies and review the projects with the most, looking for new minable coins. I spend alot of time lurking in here.
Or you can view that forum sorted by last created topic, and see recent topics - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=159.0;sort=first_post;desc

Otherwise great list of resources, thanks for sharing.

I see this question alot, and the usual trolling/sh1tposting and unhelpful replies that follow.

In good faith i will share some tips and tricks on what coins to mine, with a focus on finding newer coins with high volume returns.
So without further ado, lets gets down to the brass tacks.

Check: https://coinmarketcap.com/new/
Only coins with 100k daily market volume get listed so, so it gives you a idea of coins that have at least some action.
Tip: Coins with a asterisk are not mining coins.

Nicehash has a profitability calculator that will show the best current algorithms to mine if you prefer to go for highest gains possible only and its respective coins.
This is so volatile i prefer not to bother with it, but i mine alot of coins i intend to hodl, shelf and forget about till i realize they either never made it, or made me a ton

Check: CoinDesk and other well known crypto news sources. Coins and ICO's getting mentions in the industry news have a leg up.

Information: https://coincodex.com/
Alot of information can be found here. news, exchanges, ICO listings etc etc.

Check Twitter: Twitter has alot of "crypto OG's" such as WolfReloaded, WhalePanda, IAmNomad, PanamaCrypto etc etc. Follow the industry leaders.
I got a big break through in XMR thanks to one of these people.

Follow exchange twitters and research the coins they announce they will list.

Spend at least a few hours or researching these things and more to find great coins to mine.
There is no easy answer and everyone has their own reasoning, opinions and beliefs for "what is the best to mine".
It takes time, research and hard work to be at the top of the game in mining or trading.
If you want easy i suggest getting you get a forex broker. or paying a fee to one of the many private trading groups.
A professional will do all this for you. But it wont be cheap.  https://www.bitcoinmasons.com/ is a great place, one of many.

Socket54, what are you mining now?

Ravencoin, SnowGem, BTCZ.

Socket54, why are you doing this?
I am a nice guy.

Socket54, would you like a donation?
Sure, you can donate BTC to me here: 1TvKWERinj3ecLheMMwHoyAJnUn4mu3AP

If anyone else has some tips and tricks to share, feel free to do so.
Enjoy.
