I can't believe that this thread is 3 pages long and not 1 person has even mentioned the new Lending Platform coins. Until the hype dies down...these are by far the best investments at the moment...yes they are susceptible to scam but if you diversify you investment in a bunch of them it completely eliminates all risk due to the massive profit scale at the moment.

I have a huge list of links with ICO dates if interested. I am not sure if I can post them here but I will try and if they ban it so be it...
You may be right, but most people generally stay far away from lending programs promising fixed returns since they resemble ponzies or could be pyramidal schemes. Personally, I feel that there is risk associated with lending programs like Bitconnect, Hextra, Regal, Western etc just as there is risk associated with anything in the crypto world. I feel some people will be able to profit from lending programs, but some will also end up losing money in the process. I would choose Bitconnect over other programs though since it is far more reliable.

Although the cryptocurrency market never shows stability, there are some altcoins investing in which is also profitable. Try not to pick only one or two — spread your funds and get:

- Ethereum;

- Litecoin;

- DASH;

- Ripple;

- NEO;

- Monero;

- Nem.

All the top of coins will never give you thousands of percents of profit, so you can look to small coins with masternodes like MTNC. If your goal to save your funds -  top10 are good.

Bitcoin, Etheruem and BCash seem to be doing very well in the crypto market. All on a rise, and reaching their all time highs.
Also look at Ripple that has potential to go to $1 by early next year.

Just picked up some more OMG on this recent dip. The price was close to the bottom it reached before the 2x fork, so i think it was a good buy, lets wait and see...

I also see some other coins in a good price range, such as Eth (despite the recent ratio gain, still looks very good).

Look at top 2 on coinmarketcap, they are all showing great potential, and will continue to rise throughout the year.
Bitcoin to $10K
Etheruem to $500
Both reaching all time high.

Hi all As  I am new to the cryptocurrency world. I ask you all this.

What are the real authentic coins to look at?

at moment I have invested in EThereum and Bitcoin.

I know at time of this message there are over 1300 coins out there, even more, and yes many may not be real or fraud or of value.

in general, what do you look for to determine if its a real deal?

or what would be a list of the coins to look at at this time?

thanks

more less best ones you think to invest in that are very low price at moment.

This is not a hard question to answer the top 5 is always the best currencies to look at, at all time, there are a lot of pump and dump coins of course but we must not dwell on those kinds of coins, the stakes is to high to lose on this kind of coin so better concentrate on the top 5 or top 10

After you have done your research on the different coins you are looking to invest in, make sure they have potential to rise.

Coins like Bitcoin, BCash, Ethereum and Ripple have potential to rise.
You will see this when you read in forums, different sites, blogs on facebook or twitter. All these sources will give you a better view on what to invest in.
Bitcoin is currently at $8200 and rising, predictions say it will reach as high as $10K by the end of 2017.
BCash is currently rising and has been rising since the fork cancellation.
Ethereum has risen over 5000% since the start of 2017 and if it continues on this path, will reach $500 by end of 2017.
Ripple has been long anticipated to reach the $1 mark, and the way things are going with the rest of the coins it might just get there by early January.

These are the currencies that are best looked right now imo.

I like people who indicate the top 10 for the best altcoin to buy now or to watch closely .. the poor .. yes these are safe values, values of granny and papie. But if you want big returns on investments, you have to be able to find something else.

Of course Bitcoin, ethereum, litecoin, monero, dash are very good projects .. but not more profitable for those who have not already for more than 1 year ..

I've been talking about Zcoin for months and months, and that's the most promising choice for me! Then I would say Zencash ..

And I will put some notes on Groestlcoin and Viacoin. Old, very solid projects that will implement lightening network like litecoin and vertcoin.

Cloakcoin can be a very good choice too, but it's more risky.

I would recommend you to look at Monero/Litecoin/BCH and Waves coins.
Monero, definitely … Waves, you would not want to miss that. Litecoin, maybe… BCH ?

Come on! If anyone is planning to invest in a coin, I do not even expect this coin to be on the top 20 list. However, every person has what they look for in a coin, but for a manipulated coin, I would not really want to bother much about it. It has given some people profit recently at the detriment of other FOMOs. You may not be that lucky.

I go through project white paper and critically evaluate the project, usually unique projects are not fraud and Team members reputation analysis also helps a lot to make sure to very much extent that the project will be real. You have invested in very good coins. Bitcoin and Ethereum. Low prices but good altcoins I think are litecoin, monero and zcash. I prefer them when having not much enough to invest in Bitcoin and Ethereum.

the best currencies to look at right now are really in the
Top 20 on coinmarketcap. Currencies like bitcoin [obviously]
litecoin, dash, monero, zcash.

There is an argument whether ripple and ethereum are good
because they are centralised currencies. If you look hee on
the forum there are many threads about these.

There are some new and recent currencies to look at like
truckcoin ! omg, neo, tenx, waves etc.

You will have to do your research here on the forum to make
your own mind up.

The best coin to buy currently are Digibyte Because the price of this coin very small than what should be , first of all here we can see that which coin is growing constantly and continuously , these are investment coins only like bcc ( bitconnect ) , hxt ( hextracoin ) , regal coin These are really looking to grow easily in the market with perfect stability also and I don't think that these coins will go down in the price much speedly Because these coins have demand in the people who want to Ake investment , as they have own investment site for the invest of Thier own coin so no doubt that their demand will go down .
note: these were better coins for investment for short term only , these are risky for the investment(except Digibyte ) also because no clear thing here we have for them to say legimate .

At the moment i am much interested in ETHER,NEO,RIPPLE.Lets go for first Ether because Ethereum is an open software platform based on blockchain technology that enables developers to build and deploy decentralized applications.Second is NEO because  NEO uses a unique blockchain algorithm that improves upon Ethereum’s model.NEO has made some outstanding progress in both value and market capitalization.And the third one is RIPPLE because Ripple is a very popular network, many banks across the world use it as the basis for their own settlement infrastructure and also their developer team is good.And you can also go for IOTA, Bitshares , PeerCoin, Zcash(ZEC),Tezos, Dogecoin, Ethereum Classic, DigitalCash(DASH),SysCoin(SYS),Verge(XVG), but before invest in any coin , first research well about that coin or take advice from well experienced traders or investers if needed to avoid loss.

Bitcoin for sure is number 1. Then in the second place Ethereum. Other coins like Dash, Montero, Litecoin are also good to invest in. So, there's more than enough to choose from. Bitcoin and Ethereum will go up, no doubt about that.

Yo man , before you check the alts , check the Gizer ICO that will come in 2 days. As for alts , I would look at Via , Doge , Ripple and some others that have a huge huge potential to boom in the next coming months.
Don't you think that dogecoin is totally dumped? The coin is fine, but with no development it doesn't have chances to stay at the top. I think it will slowly keep dying in terms of the price, partially because it is subject to inflation.
Op, I would say that most of people name nice coins like litecoin, waves and dash. I would also add IOTA (I have seen people mentioning it, but as a mid-term investment) long-term, because this coin is truly unique, there is nothing like that out there on the market, and I guess people are finally starting to notice it.

I first look at development process of the token or altcoin.

Than I look for total marketcap or how much they have collected during ICO and number of ICO participants.

Team behind the altcoin/token and their past experience.

Total supply and richlist, how much dev team is holding.

What is the main niche of the altcoin/token and does that have any demand in the current real life world?
