I'm eyeing for Eth, Ltc, Etc, Xem and one newly-concluded ico tokens like dimcoin.
I have seen significant increase in their prices the past months and so with other top 10 currencies in coinmarketcap. I wish to be holding everyone of them, too.

I would recommend those coins, which brought something new to the system.
DASH, for example, made transactions more anonymous. Search for coins like this.
And if you want to make some money, that's a harder question. The answer will content deep research of each project, finding community opinion and many more.

There are plenty of threads discussing this same topic. You should check top 20 on coinmarketcap and do your research from there. On top of my head I can recommend researching IOTA, qtum, pivx.

What you are asking is incredibly hard. I would suggest you look at the top20 coins of the coinmarketcap and study them. I would also exclude any coins that are "brand new", unless you are very familiar with the project. There are plenty of coins out there, that have been around for quite some time now, and could be trustable. You don't want to get caught in the next "bitconnect ponzi" coin.

I wont talk bout Bitcoin or Ethererum because you already have them, and they are of course the main choices right now, and have the greatest potencial. So for other coins, I would keep my eye on Dash, IOTA, Qtum, Monero and LTC. Any of these coins could be good for a long term hold, and they could actually take over bcash in my opinion.

If I were you, I would analyze each project carefully.
Don't trust anyone and do your own research before investing Smiley

You should analyze market cap, price, team and the project itself. After that you should make a good projection about it.

after that, I would suggest you to take a look at MyBit Platform and Its Eth Token MYB.

With over 1300 cryptos out there and more new ones everyday it can be a little daunting.
A mix of 4~6 of older established, some low market cap and a new project would be an approach to consider.
I submit SpectreCoin [xpsec] for a low market cap coin, ie: less than 10 million. Enjoying its first birthday, growing community with a solid dev.

It's way undervalued for a privacy coin with features other coins don't have.

Good luck with your venture into crypto.

It depends form what profit you want to get. If you want profit from a year or more just hold your bitcoins and etherium it will be profitable. However if you want fast profit you shoud invest in altcoins, some of them can rise up for 200 or 300 percent per several month, but this is more risky.

Yo man , before you check the alts , check the Gizer ICO that will come in 2 days. As for alts , I would look at Via , Doge , Ripple and some others that have a huge huge potential to boom in the next coming months.

Check E-chat ICO. About them Forbes recently wrote, and Huffington Post included in the 5th most secure messengers. This is a crypto-messenger with a multicurrency wallet functional. And you can earn on the likes there - it's my favorite feature Wink

Bull market is about to come back soon, I think the virtual market top 30 or even the TOP50 encrypted coin is very purchasing power, you can choose to buy some good, of course, please be sure to pay attention, if a ALTCOIN development team It has been a long time no longer update the code, it should be careful to buy, this can be viewed on github.

Hi all As  I am new to the cryptocurrency world. I ask you all this.

What are the real authentic coins to look at?

at moment I have invested in EThereum and Bitcoin.

I know at time of this message there are over 1300 coins out there, even more, and yes many may not be real or fraud or of value.

in general, what do you look for to determine if its a real deal?

or what would be a list of the coins to look at at this time?

thanks

more less best ones you think to invest in that are very low price at moment.

Really is up to you to decide, honestly. I can suggest coins to you but these may not suit your purpose or investment goals. For long term holding i would still definitely go with bitcoin as it is one of the most stable yet growth cryptos and assets in general out there. I'm also personally holding monero long term.

Medium term, ETH could take off. IOTA has had a nice run up from $.37 to $.9 now and i can see it really breaking $2 or even $3 with its feeless transactions and all the interesting things that the dev team has offered and promised.

Personally i'm not into trading shitcoins for the short term, i mean that could be different for everyone.

You can create free portfolio at:  http://www.coinparator.com/

Add coins to your portfolio, that you would like to buy.

Don't do nothing for about 1 - 2 weeks. Watch trends. It should give you enough time to get perspective over the coins and movements in crypto market. And also you should sober up from "getting rich quick by investing all my money into XYZ coin".

Once you're ready, buy what you believe is the best investment.   Smiley

Don't go into crypto straight with money, just test it first.

I recommend that you buy some currency from the first 10-15 coins from this list: https://coinmarketcap.com/ In the long term, they should bring profit Wink
