I just found a funny quote that made me laugh. at the same time warms my heart.

thanks to these funny words and containing deep meaning for a moment I forgot that I was under work pressure.

Personally, when someone gives me merit I get a warm fuzzy feeling all over.  I'd liken it to peeing your pants in the freezing cold.  The instant relief from cold as the warmth dribbles down your legs, heating everything in it's path with no regard for the consequence.  This is what merit feels like to me.

Even better than receiving though, is giving away that sweet sweet merit.  I enjoy spraying merit all over the boards for everyone to share in that warm fuzzy feeling with me.  I always look for opportunities to shoot merit on those who have yet to receive it in the hopes that it helps remove some cold from their day as well.  Warm fuzziness for all!

This is the best quote I came across today. that comes from myself. Roll Eyes

even in the field of interest there will always be difficulties and problems. "because in reality everyone will never be free from problems as long as he is still alive. because problems appear as lessons in life and so that we become better individuals. and don't run away from problems because problems are there to be solved" quote by Lubcub62  Grin

There are many remarkable ideas expressed here, during time. Some of them, which I wanted to mention, are already mentioned by others -- Satoshi quotes, for example.

However, I still have 2 quotes in my mind, which touched me when I first saw them. First of all is xtraelv's signature, which was also quoted by theymos (at forum's 10th anniversary, if I rember well; sadly, I can not find it now):

Quote
We are surrounded by legends on this forum. Phenomenal successes and catastrophic failures. Then there are the scams. This forum is a digital museum.

Second quote is philipma1957's signature:

Quote
I see BTC as the super highway and alt coins as taxis and trucks needed to move transactions.

I consider both as words of wisdom which can rarely be thought of a human mind.

Chapeau to xtraelv and philipma1957!

Last, but not least, I also want to mention DdmrDdmr's personal text, which is also an idea which caught my attention years ago:

Quote
There are lies, damn lies, and statistics.

It seems that he changed recently this personal text but, however, he had it for years Smiley

It boggles my mind how some people as early as 2011 could've foreseen this with confidence. Like good lord it takes a crap ton of conviction and a huge pair of balls to be able to be this bullish when at that time they didn't even have Andreas Antonopoulos; then you get the next response with a dude that put all his money into bitcoin at 2 digits. Oh my god.

[Nope]No hype delivers more than hope
I think there is no harm in quoting the words of people who are not very visible (bounty hunters) in this forum. This is one that I found a few days ago,
I like this part:
...because bitcoin is not a setback but an advancement
Enough to refute the alleged antibitcoin activists, you will understand the meaning of this quote in the original post. Cool

Precisely on January 24 2018, the quote theymos below is the quote that surprised me the most because at that time I was still an Sr Member rank but had almost reached Hero Member rank. It took me a lot of time to reach Hero and Legendary ranks, but for whatever effort I put in, I have to admit it was worth it because there was a benefit I felt behind the introduction of the merit system and that was an increase in my contribution to the forum.

In addition to activity, everyone now has a merit score, and you need both a certain activity level and a certain merit score in order to reach higher member ranks.

This may not be the best to other people but I consider it as one of the best quotes I ever heard or read in Bitcointalk forum. It had a nice message for those who think that there is an unmovable barrier towards their goal and this quote is the solution for it. I think there is a forum user who did it and it's n0nce, where he did made a lot of contribution in the forum regardless the rank he had before which goes back to the quote below.
You don't have to be a "Legendary member" to be considered as a "real asset" of the forum.

Yeah Grin, the author did make a package out of that one with an animated image with the same thing (Licking my boob since 1970).

I really like this quote.
"Lets to Work hard! because the results of your hard work will not lie to you"
I don't remember reading this from who on this forum. but I've read it and sometimes I also share it with others.

Hello Leo! You can still win.
I think we should schedule a large increase in the block size limit right now while the protocol rules are easier to change. Maybe even schedule an infinite series of increases, as we can't really predict how many transactions there will be 50 years from now - Caveden
Caveden as far back as November, 2010. He is the man who saw tomorrow.

Bitcointalk.org:
 - Cobra has ultimate control over the domain name. I have access to the domain name settings.
 - I run the server. Cobra has no access to the database or server.
 - The BTC is held by myself and the treasurers. Cobra has no access.
- theymos

In order to improve the overall forum experience, going forward we are only going to allow smart people to post- theymos on April fool.

Bitcoin To The Moon 📈📈📈
Here's a quote that will happen in the future he has predicted bitcoin to reach $100,000
I always imagined this quote.

Imagine in the future if btc would hit 100.000$, people are gonna start teaming up to hunt these lost address down and try to access them.

One more precious quote

Economically speaking, Bitcoin is backed by the people who exchange it for other things of value (goods, services, other currencies). The same goes for every currency. The more stuff people offer in exchange, the more the currency is worth.

this is the best quote i have ever heard

I actually measured the energy usage with a Kill-A-Watt with and without mining a few months after that post, and I was getting 160 BTC/kWh. Because the cost of mining 1 BTC was less than a tenth of what 1 BTC was actually priced at at the time, I thought that BTC was substantially overpriced, and so I also have the honor of selling BTC at the lowest prices ever recorded, $0.003/BTC. Smiley

And
I think we need to think the other way around. Instead of regretting not being able to send a message to our young self from ten years ago, we should consider what our old self would want to share with us ten years into the future. We might hear our messages from the future if we concentrate enough. Are you guys hearing anything?

I have two interesting quotes from Satoshi Nakamoto, his success in creating bitcoin and his belief in large transaction volumes since its introduction that we can enjoy today. There are still plenty of them, but just two for now.

Quote
“I’ve been working on a new electronic cash system that’s fully peer-to-peer, with no trusted third party.” - Satoshi Nakamoto
Quote
“I’m sure that in 20 years there will either be very large transaction volume or no volume.” - Satoshi Nakamoto

Farewell, Leo. You will be missed!
This one by theymos was good as a reply to a user who was requesting for KYC on the forum because people were cheating with multiple accounts in bounty campaigns. Theymos added it to his to-do list, of course.

I'll get right on that, just as soon as hell freezes over.

One of my favourite is not from a very popular user, but one who made a thread I have very so often referred back to when looking for simple solutions to seemingly complex issues;

The past cannot be changed, but there are enough gains waiting for us in the future to amply reward those who care to exercise their logic and invest rationally.

I find the quote particularly useful cause so many people claim to have missed the top or are too late to benefit from Bitcoin and while the post was made some years back, it applies to any year regardless.

My all time favorite comes from Satoshi. The others are nice, but imho they cannot compare with Satoshi himself.

My favourite one's also come from the mystery man himself who has made this all possible :

Lost coins only make everyone else's coins worth slightly more.  Think of it as a donation to everyone.
