Ledger nano s has better features over the Trezor and price is lower than alternative hardware wallets. I remember the news about the vulnerable glitch in the system of Trezor and later they solved the problem with new update, if i remember correctly.

For me ledger nano S is the winner. Easy to use and support many cryptocurrencies. Cardano (ADA) has been added recently. Waiting for the new editition.

I prefer to store my crypto on the paper wallet than storing on the desktop wallets. Hardware wallets are safer but for small amounts, it is better to use online wallets.

They are trying to keep the review balanced but to me ledger is a clear winner.
I like the design better and it's made of metal so better materials as well.
Supports more cryptocurrencies.
Is cheaper.
These three things make it so much better!

really? I also got a Nano ledger S, and feel pretty deceived already..
Before i had ICON, XLUMENS, ETH and EOS... They released a new version for ETH blockchain.. i after installing it (which must be really big as i had to delete the rest of currencies i had), now i have no storage left for instaling any other currency... and it is not possible to go back to the version before update! do you get the picture? they release new versions that do the same, but uses more storage, in order to force you to buy their new unit Nano ledger X, which has been just released! (MORE storage...) i feel scamed by NANO LEDGER.
guys avoid it

I'd recommend reading their statement about the storage-problem:
https://www.ledger.fr/2019/02/14/righting-our-1-5-5-nano-s-firmware-update/

I'm also annoyed but they're working on it.

Thanks for the info mate Smiley  Honeslty, i think in fact this obsolescence was planned... they can't be so stupid to make a mistake like this... Otherwise i wouldn leave my security in their hands! It is only that they couldnt anticipate that so much people would be that angry!

Keeping your cryptocurrency investments safe has become very important today. And thanks to the many established organizations that have provided the crypto enthusiasts with secure storage options via hardware wallet. Hardware wallet adds an additional layer of security to safeguard your cryptocurrencies in case your computer is affected by a virus or malware which could steal your private keys by using a key logger. They additionally secure you against tricks, for example, counterfeit sites which use "phishing" to attempt and take your private keys. In the event that you have done any kind of investment in digital money, it bodes well to utilize a hardware wallet – they are by a wide margin the most secure methods we have at the moment of protecting your investments.

The two products that are considered the best hardware wallet in 2019 and stand out in crypto space are Trezor and Ledger. Both of these products are well known in the cryptocurrency community for the security they offer without actually storing the currencies themselves. Though physical equipment, Trezor, and Ledger act as protection for private information and data that are used to access digital assets.

Im all in for trezor because there was no a bad news about trezor vulnerability was getting discovered. that's true and compared to the ledger, ledger is nothing due to the a lot of problem on its vulnerability. trezor is a winner on this game

I also have not bought a hardware wallet, but I think about it. In my opinion, Ledger looks better, most recently they published information that they found a vulnerability in the Trezor wallet. But I do not know whether you can trust this information.

The info about Trezor problems is public, pretty good documented and pretty reliable. The only thing is that most of those vulnerabilities are not as critical as some would like (very hard to get to  exploit them). Of course, if I'd have such big funds on Trezor probably I'd be worried.
Ledger had its issues too, not that long ago.
So it's 1-1 Smiley

I do have Ledger (since about a month ago), but I use it rarely and for Bitcoin only. I've read somewhere that they plan a new update which should fix the issue with the storage. Time will tell if they'll do it.

Trezor and Ledger are the best crypto wallets of recent times. The highest level of safety. But more new hardware wallets have been created and they have more functions.

These came up with the many versions and all those wallets get good reaches with the customers. We need think why there is no competitor for these two people in hardware wallet field.

Security reasons are major reasons to switch the hardware wallets. Since owning few funds in our wallets better we can have the private key secured wallet. Nothing we need more than that.

What do you think about keepkey hardware wallet because it seems very reliable to me and that is what I have been using for a very long time, although that was the first hardware wallet I got exposed to, even up to now.

I hardly make more research on new wallets because I don’t see any use for it since the one I am using has not failed me, unfortunately, I don’t even know about trezor and ledger until now that it is being mentioned in this forum, so I might as well also check them out and probably split my saving even if I am fully aware that any genuine hardware wallet is safer to use.

I personally believe it's not just about competition or trying to know which wallet is better than the other, but being able to store your coin in a secured wallet is what we should be worried about.

As of today, we have so many hardware wallet in existence but some are popular than the others not because they are more secured or even better than the others, but because they have already made name for themselves and built trust due to the fact that they were the first hardware wallet in existence.

Ledger Nano and Trezor One are well known hardware wallets but have you heard about Coolwallet S? It is really as safe as these 2 mentioned wallets?
Thanks for your opinions.

It was said many times that Ledger Nano is better for altcoin holders because is cheaper and allows you to safe here more cryptocurrencies. And that Trezor is maybe better in the security, but Ledger company recently posted about some Trezor technical bugs, so it is really as secure as we think?

The advantages of the Ledger Nano X is that it supports 100 apps and has bluetooth support.
Which means you can either use their Ledger Live software on a pc and connect to your Ledger hardware wallet through usb cable
or you can use their Ledger Live mobile app (Android / iOS) through bluetooth.

Specially the last part peaked my interest. On the other hand i'm a little bit disappointed with the form factor, i was hoping they would go more
towards the form of a Ledger Blue (larger lcd display, less usb stick format).

I just hope the bluetooth support is for real this time with the Ledger Nano X, they marketed the Ledger Blue also with bluetooth support and came back on that.

I have only used the ledger nano after several recommendations from friends. I am satisfied with the ledger nano service so far. I will try the Trezor too if I get it cheaper so I can make my physical comparisons

I haven't used either of them until now. But I have a lot of Ledger in my environment. I didn't even see anyone else using Trezor. So if I were to choose one, it would definitely be Ledger.
