I wouldn't recommend you to invest in one altcoin as these are increased risks to your capital. Distribute your capital into 10 equal parts and invest in the top 10 coins.

the best investment for now I think you can invest in bitcoin and ethereum because with this investment in both coins you can get a lot of profit because these two coins have a strong and coin platform which has very high benefits for the community.

It depends where the market going to. If the market is on bear market probably if you invest it that time your 1k$ become 500$ or maybe zero. In my opinion, you should embed it into ETH, LTC. Their value is very cheap right now. Both meet the requirements for both short and long term. Mostly, you will always feel secure with these choices.
many people make a profit by investing even though sometimes risky, so choose a reliable investment to keep the funds safe and can profit more. if the matter of altcoin or equity shares is up to you, which one you like most, both have advantages and disadvantages. i think altcoin or bitcoin is quite promising if used as an investment, invest some crypto that you think can give advantage, so if there is one crypto that fail there is still another crypto that will cover the losses of the coin and total funds that we invest not be useless.

I wouldn't invest everything in one coin. Part in bitcoin part in Ethereum and Waves. Again, this is my personal opinion.
