Yes research will help in reducing the risk of loosing money and its a good habit to go for research before making any kind of investment as no one wants to loose their hard earned money and good research can bring positive results for you in future.

The only way I can see how holders can be involved in trading is simply by lending to margin traders. In theory as I understand, the more there is to borrow, the easier it will be to trade on higher margins and the more traders can be active. I imagine that if a lot more holders loaned out their coins on major exchanges, offering lower interest rates, there could be a positive effect on volume.

Although the physical actions it required is quite minimal, you didn't "do nothing". You got lucky and then you grabbed the opportunity. Anyways, that shouldn't matter to them at all because when you start to pump the market, other people are going to buy more bitcoins as well because they are trying to chase the market and hope that they sell when the price starts to go down.

With the amount of bitcoins they are going to dump by the time the pump is done, the bitcoins that you dumped will not have that much effect. But of course if you're a whale and you snatched a pump-and-dump move from someone, it will surely make him lose money. That is why doing a pump-and-dump is quite risky as well especially when you're going to do it to an altcoin with small volume.

Brother, not all ICO are good. These days most people start fake ICO just to get money from the innocent people. Please should be wise in selecting which ICO to buy and focus on things like escrow / Roadmap etc.

Not every ICO is profitable these days. Many people are teaming up as an ICO team developer team and management team and then scamming the people under them. In many cases the lead people are the scammers and they manage to scam their employee and all the investors as well. They will show you a proper and very organised Roadmap and manybe a legit escrow manager too, but you never know who is a scammer and who is not.

Yes I agree with you that holding bitcoin is a passive income and by trading we can
get a active income. But I prefer to trading than holding Bitcoin. I usually use my Bitcoin to
trade altcoin which profitable coins. We are know that the price of altcoin is very volatile than Bitcoin.

You don't want to suggest HYIP but you are mentioning it though you are right that they are fraud and scam, no newbie should invest there to avoid frustration and being fooled by those lazy companies. Holding of bitcoin is one of the best investment but you need to take a lot of time before seeing the result, add to it trading of alt coin.
