I'm one of those who's very skeptics when the rumours came out, but since Samsung confirms it, then this is no longer a rumour.

However, I still have my doubts how secure the crypto wallets are going to be. There could be layer of security, but my concern is that our smart phone most of the time are connected, so vector attack is almost present every time, just saying.

You are right in your doubts and we have to deal with these wallets carefully
Better not to use its with large balances at first
do you agree with me
that such news will be one of the main reasons for adoption
It may speed up its pace.

I'm very excited for the new Samsung S10!! Looks like Bitcoin is at the top. Anyone else waiting to get their hands on this?

"The app appears to support ether (ETH) and bitcoin (BTC) by default, as there are logos for the two displayed in the Blockchain Keystore introduction image. Further, there is a cryptocurrency/token “add” button, so users will presumably be able to use other cryptocurrencies and ethereum-based ERC-20 tokens via the wallet."

so meaning.bitcoin has been adapted little by little with this big companies. This is a good news especially to bitcoin holders. We can expect a good market price increase as bitcoin market price increases. Just do more patience and wait for some good news and one will not regret holding bitcoin in the near future.

It sort of. Seem the future is bright for crypto users. I'm currently using an old Samsung unit but if an update can make me test such, I might update the phone in that case.
Big companies like Samsung and all other likes can definitely make adoption faster as we all are using phones. Its not the one I expect to happen actually, I was thinking of popular ecommerce site like alibaba or amazon that will start all these.

I've already pre-ordered the S10+ and can confirm that they really have the said feature enabled. A few months back when everything was just mere speculation, I didn't believe that they would be able to really integrate the wallet into the said phone. I don't know if the Knox counter would be able to sync with the said wallet, because if so, this will get hackers a hard time messing around getting over with the said security feature Samsung is notorious about. However I wouldn't bank largely at this to cause some hype for bitcoin and crypto, as the hype is still somewhat centered on the device itself. Also, most premium smartphone users won't even care with what's in their phone at all, as long as it's the latest and works.

How about the other two lower types of S10+ (S10 and S10e)? I cant afford to buy the highest type S10+, if the S10 also bring the same feature in case of  the crypto wallet then I think it is the most affordable price.
Another question comes to my mind, is the features available all over the world. Talk about Samsung, my country is always get the lower Specs in case of the Processor. It is built in Snapdragon 855 in other countries but it will be only with Exynos in my country. Need to wait for a complete review from Indonesian user (especially gadget reviewer).

Might be a good feature in terms of "popularity" as somehow it will kicks the idea of implementing crypto on a platform on other companies as well.

But budget wise, if that is only the feature that people will look for on buying S10, then I see no sense buying it even I can afford to buy it. Playing around $1,500 to $1,600 as I saw in ads here in our country. It also include a free gift of 43" Smart TV.

The phone monster specs is the reason why everyone will order it (aside from they will become popular to their friends lol). I just don't know if people will used the said built-in crypto app in their crypto related transaction since there are more other way around which is more convenient.

This is a leaked features of the soon to come Samsung s10.
Correct me if am wrong Samsung as a company has not come to elaborate on this officially.
But from every indication it seems true and this would further improve the awareness of cryptocurrency

yes bitcoin already adapted by some companies around the world since bitcoin become popular and especially when the value reached the highest value of all time. So stop wondering why some popular company nowadays gradually grabbing bitcoin as a payment method because its normal.  Instead adap it as well 'cause in the future it would be regulated around the world because of its potential .  No doubts.

So it begins!

Samsung has a large user base and I bet most of its users are non-crypto.

That's would be a safe bet, cryptocurrency has grown exponentially, but is yet to fully go mainstream, so 'most of any demographic' is likely to not already in the crypto space.
This would present cryptocurrency right at the palm of the user, and would also include a starter pack.
We would have to wait and see how much of an impact it could have, but it would be positive.

Samsung long back itself began its participation into cryptocurrency related activities. Slowly they began to have their footprints on real time implementation. As a beginning now they've come up with the initial wallet for ethereum and bitcoin. Other smart phone companies will also begin to have access to cryptocurrencies in the future. Samsung ஹாஸ் made the first step into it.

A Phone that is mostly would cost you almost $2000 USD I really think it is not a great idea to let yourself have one of this phone by just doing a transaction with cryptocurrency, I rather have a more budgeted one with the same quality as this, I rather wait for it than to buy this phone that we don't really know if its really going to improve the security of your wallet,

i wouldn't be so excited about this until i see how it actually works. so far it seems like it is mostly hyped up. i have to check it out first to see if it is even secure or even if it allows us to have full control over our private keys or is it doing some sort of backup crap on the "cloud" messing up the true security of it.
not to mention that i can already have a pretty secure wallet on my android with an open source wallet like electrum and a dozen others.

Samsung is a large company and any affiliation with cryptocurrency would give it a popularity boost, and would also improve trust.
It does not only influence users of the device but general public who reads the news and trusts the company.
Would be interesting to see how other phone companies react.

PS: Do not put a large amount in these wallets, let see first , how secure these wallets are.
