Fuck online wallets! No place is more secure than your desktop computer.

Why do you want to use an offline wallet? A desktop wallet is more secure and does not require trust.

Hey All,

I'm considering an online Wallet. Any advise and information you can share would be appreciated. I'm thinking more along the lines of buying/selling/trading. If I'm not at home and want to sell some, I'd be best to have an online Wallet?

Which service(s) do you use and how has your experience been?

What are the delays like when trying to buy/sell etc?

Can online Wallets (services) be more secure than having a Wallet on your PC or Mac?

Thanks,
jmevz

Blockchain.info does nearly everything that I need and yet don't need to download the entire blockchain to use it. I like it that there is also an android app. A four digit pin can be set for password protection. My favorite feature is that I can sweep a balance from a cold storage paper wallet. Transactions are extremely fast because confirmation time is short between accounts that use blockchain.info, and there are many people that use it.

My second-favorite online phone wallet is Mycelium Wallet. You can set a six digit pin, but I find that a bit longer than necessary. Mycelium doesn't have a lot of features, but what really makes it stand out is that you can sweep a specific amount from a cold-storage private key and have it sent to a public key that you can enter. For those that use cold-storage it means that you don't have to wait for confirmation to your own wallet before spending to another, and the money doesn't need to get re-associated with your normal accounts just to spend it.
