I am using this as my references when there is something I needed to review and learn regarding cryptocurrency. And I think this is one of the most comprehensive guides I found on the internet because it is newbie-friendly.

Check this out: https://coinsources.io/bitcoin/

Disclaimer: I am not affiliated with the website. Smiley

I also visits that link sometimes its a compilation of information we might need or if have extra time we can learn by just browsing the articles and videos, some links will be directed here in forum too. But if we prefer to search on specific topic we can google the topic we wanted and just add bitcointalk word in it which I do often, since this forum is already loaded with plenty of reference to study with comments from some knowledgeable.

I think this bitcoin talk forum is the best place to learn about crypto. There are several sites where you can learn about crypto. You can also find out about crypto after several video books.

I would advise you to check Just learn crypto, where they have a few chapters that explain the basics of cryptocurrency. For a more detailed educational program, I would advise you to visit Newscrypto.io as they have just updated it.

I think that you want to dive more into crypto trading (due to the fact that you said "traders").
In my opinion, Binance Academy is a great source of learning about crypto. They have done a great job to increase awareness and educate the community.

If you are interested, you can have a look: https://www.binance.vision/

The bitcointalk forum is a great place. You can also read the book "Mastering Bitcoin" that'll help, there's a bit of coding and stuff in there that you can actually skip.

My friends is the one who introduce me to crypto, he teaches me a lot of thing about crypto like the currencies, campaigns you can join in forums and a lot more so i became so interested about it and them after that i've watched videos that talks about crypto and it really helps me understand more of it through watching videos and of course you can also learn here in the forum. But learning or reading isn't enough for you to have a good grip about crypto, you should experience it, you should have cryptocurrencies in you and used it to buy stuff or trade it so thay you can be familiar of what it is and by that you will gain a lot of experiences that can help you.

I became interested to cryptocurrencies because of my friend, he taught me what it is and its functions. I learned also that it is the future of our payment system and I considered it as a mode of payment. If you want to learn about cryptocurrencies then it is better if you will keep reading in this forum. There are a lot of information that you can get by just reading different posts in this forum.

I would suggest watching andreas antonopolous videos from restaurant. There is this one particular video he explains to some smart people what bitcoin is. This is best source to start. Then some bitcoin documentaries to have some fun, then you can go a little bit more technical about it.
After this before you get involved with money, learn about security.

In my case, I actually learned it from a friend who sooner taught me how to join signature campaigns. I didn't earn lots of crypto right away, it took many months before I was able to gain profit from it. If you are just a beginner and you have no one to tell you and teach you how crypto works, it would be best if you would explore the forum first and read different topics involving the ones you are curious about. If you think you are ready, join some projects or try buying some crypto and start investing so that you could see if it would work.

    Altcoin discussion: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=67.0

You are already at the best place to learn about crypto as you learn about everything about crypto in this forum except trading which you will learn only once you start trading. You can refer to all the sections of this forums like scam accusation and meta section will make you aware about kind of scams going on and how often avoid it,  trading section will give you insight about trading and all the section will teach some or the other thing.

There are plenty of good tutorials on YouTube, but, from my perspective learning, "crypto" isn't something that can be done just by watching, just dawdle in the forum and read the things that catch your attention or topics you are interested in. Not all crypto are equal in the end.
Like other markets you have to spend time to understand and learn cryptocurrency. Bitcointalk.org is best place for new comers to learn what's happening in crypto world. Deeply study new projects and price variation of different CC over the years. If you remain steady, you will slowly but surely.

I first started as a bounty hunter here and learned a lot about crypto/blockchain since then. I wouldn't say I am an expert but probably knows some basic stuff. It took me a while though because I was distracted before and not really serious.

I would suggest that you start here as well but you have to be specific on what you want to know first and stick to the boards that discusses those topics. If you want to learn technical matters about bitcoin blockchain, focus on boards like Development & Technical Discussion and Bitcoin Technical Support. Do not read any other boards yet. If it's mining or trading, do the same, focus.

Do not rush and take it one step at a time.

    ~
Use a google search engine, there are a lot of articles about the crypto trading tutorials and tips for beginners.
To OP, just be careful when you search on google. It's true that you can find many guides/tutorial but those sites might also lead you to installing some malware or visit some phishing sites.
I believe it's possible to learn a lot being bounty hunter, tried it but didn't like it much.
I'm not really interested in technical matters of blockchain, strictly cryptocurrencies and trading.
    Step by step, yes!

The best way to learn about crypto is to start using it.
Agreed with this. For example, if you don't try to ride on cycle you could not know how to ride by only reading books. So, crypto also like that. If you don't try to use it you can not learn more about it. So,

    1. At first try to use crypto
    2. Then discover your problems and ask here, google, youtube and other place where you can get appropriate answer. But I recommended Google, and youtube if you face basic problems. Then if you don't find the answer on google or youtube then ask in this forum. Hope you will get valuable answer from from lots of valuable members here.

    3.  Keep in mind that if you have not curiosity  or ability of making question in your mind then you can not learn more about crypto or anything  in your life.

It is difficult to say which one is the best to start learning about crypto but if I have to recommend you something to start with. Yes, it is the site: https://bitcoin.org/en/ and the Bitcoin's whitepaper (you can choose relevant translations of the Whitepaper for your interests).

Why I recommend them first for you?

Because cryptography has a very very long history but bitcoin is the first one that actually made a revolution for cryptography and brought it to the world population on massive scale.

If you want to move further, from basic to advanced, you can find what you need here: Available courses on Bitcoin and Blockchain Technology from colleges and Universities. Remember to learn how to use keywords to search newest courses on those given sites in my thread (I could miss some newest courses).

In crypto, as the saying goes "Not your private keys, not your bitcoin; not your seeds, not your coins". Hence I emphasize the importance of managing basic (basic, not advanced) to install crypto wallets (bitcoin or altcoins), backup (private keys, seeds, etc.), recover wallets from backups.
Storing your coins on exchanges is the worst thing to do in crypto. Relates to crypto exchanges, you have to manage to activate 2-factor authentication, backup 2FA code, and recover your 2FA code on your other phones.

Passwords are very important in crypto, so let learn it in your very early days in crypto: [GUIDE] How to Create a Strong/Secure Password

Temporary emails [1] are good (and you should use them) if you want to register on newborn sites or ones you don't sure it is a legit and reliable one.
There are more advanced and private emails, like Proton mails (but sure you have to pay cost for them). Proton mail has till discounted 50%. [2]
    [1] https://mashtips.com/disposable-email-services/
[2] ProtonMail black friday is on!

Phishing attacks are the next ones you must learn to protect your funds, so read: [LEARN] Phishing Quizzes - Beginners & Experts.

Scam: List of (un)known methods scammers user to scam users with honorable mention

Don't instantly download anything you see: Guide and advice for new Users before you Download anything from the Forum ! (and outside the forum too).

If you need to find something, find them here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=search
Read that one too: A Complete Guideline to use forum search button properly

Lastly, I congratulate you for choosing the right forum to begin your interesting journey with crypto.

I believe I gave you enough sources to start off, from them you can find more related things if you want.

It seems pretty daunting sometimes, so much to cover..
It is daunting because you try to cover a lot of topics in a short time. You cannot do that and I believe no one has mastered everything when it comes to trading. That is also why you see different types of traders. They excel using their own set of indicators. If you read some books, they would even admit that they suck using many indicators.

With that said, I guess you have to determine first what kind of a trader you want to be. To achieve that, you may have to do a lot of trial and errors. Experience is still the best teacher.

If you wanted to learn about alt coins trading and other related aspects  you would get the acknowledgment in you tube and google i think the most you will do practical related stuff in alt coins trading the greatest knowledge you accommodate and being able to gather useful information & you would able to get a huge benefits.

Totally agree! Also, I think that the best strategy to learn about crypto is to learn it in theory and at the same time, we have to practice what we learned! So in other words, we must do hands on activity as much as we could on our crypto endeavor!

The best way to learn about something is to start experimenting in practical.
You can learn the basics from literally anywhere, whether it be google, youtube or this forum itself.

Start by thinking about the questions you want to know the answers to related to cryptocurrencies, then the learning curve begins.
Whenever you bump into something that you cannot understand, you can definitely raise a question in the forum and many will assist you for the same.

But of course, I have to supplement this learning process by reading crypto related articles, ebooks, videos, interacting with different social media platforms, crypto project websites and more. Just keep it in mind that learning should be fun! Smiley

This forum is still good but troll and spam is more than the news we need. Twitter looks to be top on the list IMO, and spend more time there lately, all crypto movers and whales are very active there, predictions and update, sometime leakage of some inside information if you are attentive to the right people. I think more focus should be giving to twitter campaign than other social media, more consideration should be giving to twitter handles with good cryto presence and followers.
This forum is way good, just search topics you wanted to know with crypto in Google and includes Bitcointalk in the search bar, topics will appear. I usually just read 1st page when I want to learn and read something on a certain alt here in crypto as most in the 1st page says it with sense and useful. I'm reading more here in forum than in other websites and social media sites even ICO ratings as those platform can be paid so we can't trust what they really say.

Bitcointalk forum is your best option to start a learning journey about crypto, as you already have an account here.
Bitcoin.org is also a great alternative.

    Snip

@DimitrisLodirogas in my initial days I used to visit this section and read other members guides, later on I started using google to search and understand what was not covered here. According to me you’ll find everything detailed out here, and you should begin reading the guides mentioned here before you use other platforms.

Start first learning about the wallets that you should have so that you can receive the crypto that you will buy.

Avoid those people that are suspicious and will ask you to deposit any amount for a too good to be true return, I guess you have to be aware of those scams.

In addition to @jossiel suggestion I would recommend you to use Electrum wallet as that’s beginner friendly, and yea be careful of online scams do your own due diligence before you send funds to anyone using bitcoins.

Use a google search engine, there are a lot of articles about the crypto trading tutorials and tips for beginners.
To OP, just be careful when you search on google. It's true that you can find many guides/tutorial but those sites might also lead you to installing some malware or visit some phishing sites.

There are plenty of good tutorials on YouTube, but, from my perspective learning, "crypto" isn't something that can be done just by watching, just dawdle in the forum and read the things that catch your attention or topics you are interested in. Not all crypto are equal in the end.
