My only suggestion would be to learn as much as you can and keep an eye on the cryptocurrency related news daily. Crypto trading is not very difficult but you need to have a great skill of understanding and learning.

Can`t agree that crypto trading is not very difficult. And it definetely requires more than you suggested. It is not enough just to understand what is happening in the market and be able to learn. It is necessary to quickly make decisions, analyze your mistakes, be able to draw parallels between past and current situations, be constantly aware of the news and have a stable emotional state. The combination of these factors is quite rare, so not everyone can call himself a trader.

It is not difficult if one can have that time to know  things that will make it easy. Getting good understanding about crytocurrency is time dedication. Nothing is too hard to know or understand,  decision making is what will help to achieve what desire to know about crytocurrency.

Greetings. Am appealing for the best advise to guide newbies like me who just recently registered and this is my first post in the forum. The task to succeed in the forum the will be greatly appreciated if i can get some from the senior one's. I look forward to many of your advises. Thanks
I will first of all welcome you to this great forum, I believe you will learn and gain many experience about bitcoin and cryptocurrency in general.
My first advice for is that you should try as much as possible to abide by the forum rules and regulations, also go through the from posts made by the senior colleagues, it will really guide you on how to go about the forum. Most importantly avoid anything that deals with plagiarism, because it strictly prohibited in this forum.

As a newbie, there are so many things you need to know and learn, knowing how to trade, how to invest, how to use different strategies in trading, because in trading, strategies and how to make gains is dynamic,it changes with time.
The method you used in making gain at a particular time will be quite different from the one you will use again in other to make profit, and that's how it is.

Make sure you do regular research work on the project you are looking at before making your investments.

I am also a newbie here, so I am interested preety much in the same questions. I can tell that local boards can help a lot in addition to all those guide links above. It is easier to understand something new without language barrier, so I read posts by seniors there regulary. They can give you some reccomendations not only considering cryprocurrencies generally, but guide you through the peculiarities of your country in this matter.

You are welcome to the forum. Follow the laws of the  forum and try to understand  it. If you spend time in reading and learning  articles related to cryptocurrency it will be a advantage here in the forum.

In addition to reading the laws and regulations of the forum (which I do think is mandatory), you can utilize the search bar if you have any questions which might have been addressed already. In addition, I also do suggest that before you invest into an altcoin or a token, try searching its name by using the search bar just in case to rule out the possibility that there is no ongoing accusation against it.

Welcome to the bitcointalk forum and the possibilities are endless here! Like what had been mentioned, avoid spamming and creating similar threads as that might cause your account to be suspended. Good luck and I wish you the best on your journey!

I think it’s better to read the rules and regulations of the forum before actively taking part in it. As responsible forum members, we should focus on helping other members and shouldn’t post off-topic posts.

In additional it's also better to read The date and reply to other member first before you reply the topic as you can see the thread created on october 25 and it's almost 1 month.

Take a look above your's there's a reply from our forum mate.
How long will this topic live? Seriously guys, are you kidding yourself, or are you pretending you really don't understand that the life of this topic is useless?

Income only as a bonus from what we do in this forum. What makes newbies lazy to continue to be in this forum is the merit rule that burdens them in order to advance to the next level.
Actually, if you stay consistent and become a quality newbie, to get merit is very easy and it can definitely be done. even some newbies that I know, they keep trying to be able to rank up accounts more quickly.

It's kind of hard to follow all advice everyone do give on the forum. One thing bind us in common which is the rules and regulations.
If you want to stay relevant and active without any form of implications, kindly stick to rules and regulations.
Not hard if you will live through it. You see, everyone have their own opinion and suggestion, yes this could be hard to grasp at first but later on youll realize that what he said is right. As a newbie, you need to compile all information even studying it will take time that's what we called due process and if you can't take it then don't expect you'll grow up. Everyone's hardship is commended and rewarded later on.

I love it when new members sign up asking general questions like these, but not just asking. I like it when they want to try to be qualified and not just register.

Many Newbie joined but could not develop because of their inability to participate in and continue to discuss in this forum.
Consistency is really needed to improve the quality of this forum.
The most important thing is not to be lazy to read and express your opinion in this forum.

They not develop anything its because majority of newbies want quick profit on this profit and if they didn't get anything they want they surrender then quit without even trying to educate their selves about crypto and participate on more interesting discussion on any threads here. If many newbies just forget about the earning and been consistent on what they do and learn first all things they need for sure they will stay here and earnings will come next unto that.

The best advice I can give to newbies is to always read, read more and keep reading about Crypto currency.
Research more, learn from people that are experienced in the forum, learn from people's mistakes, and never be scared to take risk if you are trading.Risk is what makes a man,and for you take be bouyant financially, you must be a person that's not scared of taking calculative risks that will bring success.
Always bear in mind that failure is part of success, loosing money is also part of the game if you want to trade, but consistency, not relenting, will give you a clue about how it goes.

Hahaha i find this funny but that is okay, even though OP is not active and not very interested on this but I think many newbies and me are still interested to read these golden advices from seniors and the shared links even though I notice that someone always share these links in every thread started by newbies. It seems he only copy and paste but still is helpful.

There are a lot of newbie who really want to get the best advice to start their journey on the forums but they just can't do it consistently. The OP is a similar case to many other newbie where he becomes inactive more than 7 days after the first 2 post. Maybe he will come back or maybe not, but I hope he can read all the best advice that has been given to him here.

My advice to the OP is try to improve your consistency for actively posting, reading rule and so on. This will let you develop faster into a knowledgeable user. Despite the effort and patience, consistency is a must for those who really want to learn to be useful users.

Well the OP seemed to hide email address already in his own profile page, so that is a good indication that OP won't give his email address to anyone. To further add this, consider making a junk/disposable email address that isn't widely used. I do that quite often when I stumble upon some suspicious website that strictly requires email address before anything else could be done.

The best advice I could give you is, to be you because, its so hard to be someone else. Just do you and try not to play pranks on the system in being you. It's the easiest way for you to get along and know that this is a discussion platform that credits originality so, its necessary that you give uour opinions when it matters the most. Put out topics or threads for discussions too and in all you do, never copy and paste, trek by the rules and the rules would save you.

Your most welcome in to the forum and we hope you take the opinions or advices given here with great consideration.

OP, beyond all the smart pieces of advice already given to you above, I want to quickly add these –
1. Never on any account take any financial/investment advice from any person here; hook, line and sinker without first DYOR. DYOR means – Do Your Own Research. Don't be lazy about making research because it surely saves the day and stress for you.
2. Avoid anyone who sends you an inbox message, seeking to help you without you first sending them a pm. Most often they're out to scam you.
Let's hope that op will read this. Most of what I witness when I help a newbie and yet later on that same newbie got banned for plagiarism when I specifically told that you should do your own research yet didn't do it. I would also add a other to your list. 3. Never give your main email address as many scammers will send you something in your email that may get your credentials to your wallet or you will fall victim to such scheme. Also, it is possible to get a malware from emails or redirected to phishing sites.

basically all the encouragement rendering from any member here is useful because those their advices is from their objectives, what they witness, and what they pass through, so no ideas or opinion is waste, basically the bone of contention is narrowing at the protocols of the community which is ( The Rules and Regulations) as you said, because i can't dispute the fact that the rules is not included, but the strategic way will be given through experienced bitcointalk community user.

My best advice to real newbies is that - Settle in quickly, observe and understand the rules of how the forum operates, don't be afraid to engage constructively and meaningfully in discussions that you are comfortable with to share your own unique perspective on the topic, and finally, be respectful and responsible in your discussion to other forum users.

Well, @Prohibited2021 has been Nuked (banned and all post deleted), so these last few posts serve as an example of one of the core things to avoid on the forum. Despite the warnings, the user either didn’t care, didn’t understand, or wasn’t quick enough to resolve the situation in his favour. Granted that a Newbie account is no great loss (for the owner of the account).

I found another copy-paste of it, so I hope this user leaves the forum.
To be honest, I don't think this user gonna leave the forum just because he got banned. What he is probably gonna do is create new account, and continue with business as usual and if he has any brain, he will avoid plagiarism.

That's probably the main reason why I prefer to warn newbies instead just reporting them for plagiarism as if their goal is to profit from this forum in one way or another, they will just create another account and continue like nothing happened, while with warning there is a chance (albeit small) that he will edit the post and learn something.

And yet you fail to comment one of the most, if not the most, common pitfall for Newbies on the Forum: Failing to comply with a rule that you seem to having missed -> Rule 33.
I warned him yesterday that he should edit his post and include reference links as I wanted to give him a chance instead just reporting him for plagiarism, but obviously he decided to ignore that. I predict that his stay on bitcointalk will be very short. At least with this account.

He is not the only plagiarist, and I would not become so actively involved in his life on the forum.
I found another copy-paste of it, so I hope this user leaves the forum. Since his confessions of interest in the forum begin with falsity, and this, as usual, ends badly.

Specifically, I'd revise you post on staking and revisit the second paragraph, comparing it to what’s written here:
https://www.fool.com/investing/stock-market/market-sectors/financials/cryptocurrency-stocks/what-is-staking/

Sparking resemblance … If you’re reading this, you may still have time to add the reference links to that post to avoid what could be a short stay here ...

He didn't just copied 2nd paragraph, but everything except that "Im all for crypto staking" sentence at the beginning of the post.

Crypto staking involves "locking up" a portion of your cryptocurrency for a period of time as a way of contributing to a blockchain network. In exchange, stakers can earn rewards, typically in the form of additional coins or tokens.
Is Staking profitable? In one word, yes. Staking is nearly as profitable as the mining or trading of cryptocurrencies, and without risk. All you have to do is stake (buy & hold) some coins in order to get added to the mining pool.

I thought that i'm the only one who noticed it.

I noticed your post in almost every thread about newbies asking for a starter boost to learn about bitcointalk and also about the forum and its rules.

I also saw your own thread about it with the same words and content, why don't you just quote your own post? I mean it's more better and safer for you. You keep posting about rules but you did not read rule no.12 which is,
12. No duplicate posting in multiple boards (except for re-posting topics in the local language boards if they're translated and re-posting marketplace topics in the altcoin boards if altcoins are accepted).

Be mindful and wise because that is the best weapon you can get yourself.

I am simply not offending you, i just wanted to let you know and i hope you'll understand my point.

I think step one that beginners should take is to read. There are so many sources that you can use to gain some knowledge. First of all, know the basics. Bitcointalk could be one of the best sources for us to do our research, Start from Bitcoin first, every basic that you can find about Bitcoin. Then, slowly learn about Altcoin, DeFi, NFTs, DEX, CEX, etc. Along the journey, you might find a new thing. If you don't understand, note that and search for it. While learning, you can also do it to practice. Do some trades in a small amount etc. I hope it could help.

There's no "task to succeed" on this forum, ranking up is not necessary to use this forum, it's purely a cosmetic feature that allows you to do things like adding avatar and signature. This forum is simply a place to discuss Bitcoin. This isn't even a great place for learning about Bitcoin, because you are not guaranteed to receive good answers.

Greetings. Am appealing for the best advise to guide newbies like me who just recently registered and this is my first post in the forum.
op, everyone with a higher rank here was once a newbie but they gets to the rank they are today through their engagement, observation, determination, consciousness and seriousness towards the bitcointalk community.

as new user you have to devote out time to read across the boards because the community is made up of different boards, just take your precious time to study the methods of communication via bitcoin related in order to develop wisely to cryptocurrency conversation and also abstain yourself from negative part of what the community forbid, you can as well read up here,   https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/newbies-read-before-posting-1689727]Newbies  and https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/unofficial-list-of-official-bitcointalkorg-rules-guidelines-faq-703657]Unofficial and also as a fresher to the community post to a board you comprehend the terms and read carefully before posting.

The task to succeed in the forum the will be greatly appreciated if i can get some from the senior one's. I look forward to many of your advises. Thanks
Note: a highest advice is the one you give yourself, your development will come through your personal research, just have it in the skull.

Before you get any good answers and suggestion, then let me ask you something first. May I know what your interest are and why did you register on the forum?

When we don't know what you are interested in on this forum and what your goals are for signing up, then you really are in a gray area where it will be difficult for other users to give you the right advice. Now you are presented to start reading the welcome message and learn a few other thing like forum rule, rank and  activity. So your next task is to determine interest.

What are these? Did you mistakenly post it or did you not know how to quote it appropriately?

To be honest, every time I start to hiccup when I see these two quoted posts for the tenth time, the message about which comes to my telegram. Grin
Shamm, the idea that you should not transfer merit to your alternative accounts was not invented by me, so next time I ask you to just write about it on your behalf.
And I think since you are so actively advocating for helping newbies, you shouldn't quote the wall of your original post every time. It will be enough just to show a link to it.

Yes quoting the original post would be better instead of posting it again. It may considered as a duplicate post even if it's not a thread but a reply to a thread. You can quote the original or provide the link of the original thread. In that way, quoting the original post means you just made is as a reference to what you want to share. Those posts made by me and lovesmayfamilis is that you can edit the original thread and add it to OP.

What are these? Did you mistakenly post it or did you not know how to quote it appropriately?

He did copy/paste of a better formatted post which was including also some quotes.
I don't know where's the original post, it looks out of my reach, but it may very well be caused by a lot of areas I've ignored lately, but ninjastic.space has it.

@Shamm: if the post exists, it may have been better to link to it or quote it instead of copy/paste.

OP, since you are so hard at work on this subject, let me add a little tip.
Please note that there are violations on the forum, such as transferring merits to your alternate account. Probably many have forgotten or do not know about it. But, DT members have repeatedly added negative marks to users' trusts for such violations. Users sooner or later identify their alternatives, there are many ways to find such accounts, and subsequently, some are very upset about their negative trust.
Therefore, it is not recommended to resort to such dishonest tricks.

I think op should add this one on the list. I do noticed that many forum users have forgotten, didn't know or still remember but didn't mentioned it. Well, I have something to add about this violation since you mentioned about it and I let op add the reason why, this is because it can defeat the purpose of merit system. We all know that theymos implemented this merit system to prevent spammers, shitposter and many more to avoid the ranking up. Take bounty hunters as example, did you see any bounty hunters rank up or received merits many times?.
