unlikely to be approved. The US doesnt like Chinese control of the market.

this is not true anymore because after the government new policy and their exchange money freezed they have not any sort of manipulation on the market, go check the volume japan is leading above chinese, and chinese only control the mining activity now

Thats true, and thats exactly why its time to jump in again. I sold everything yesterday because i saw this little dump from a mile away. And 11 march the dump will be even more. Atfer that dump the price will slowly increase to 2k at the end of the year are my predictions. I expect an dip to $950.

So maybe it it time to change my strategy to buy & hold + buy more After the ETF dicision I will stop selling my coins for a couple years at least. What do you guys think ?
Every bitcoin users have betting on 11 march, Does SEC approve bitcoin or not. So about your strategy it looks like the current condition is unpredictable, but most of the speculators are saying if there are a lots of chance for SEC try to give a delay again about ETF decision.

Buy and sell trading is too dangerous for me here!

I mean there is nothing in btc history that allows you to predict what's going to happen...
Too dangerous I wouldn't take the risk!
Better just hold what I got ^^

Guys, i always bought & sold and bought back. With this strategy I made quite some nice profit. Big dumps like before less likely  (PBOC defeated, no Gox anymore, increasing demand etc ) . So maybe it it time to change my strategy to buy & hold + buy more After the ETF dicision I will stop selling my coins for a couple years at least. What do you guys think ?

My strategy is to Buy&Hold till the price is high enough that I can sell a part of bitcoin to get even with the amount I bought and still have some bitcoin remaining, I think this is the best way to make profit as the bitcoin that I have saved is gonna increase in price and whenever I require I can sell it if necessary and get a pure profit of whatever I sold.

HODLing is an art, not just a word...
the best strategy is always to buy and hodl
these ETF are coming and going, it is only bitcoin that stays Grin

it is like yesterday when people were arguing about price going lower than $900 or not and now we bid to 3 digits adieu!

If the last month has proven anything it is that the Chinese have no control over the market. They have lagged behind in price the whole time, and haven't led ant dumps or breakouts. China's influence is over and done with.

to be 100% accurate, the Chinese influence has never changed. they still have their size. but this size is not as small and non existent as what most people think these days and it certainly is not as huge and unrealistic as people thought back at the time of fake volume.

we can't deny the fact that Chinese ore big traders and they are investing in bitcoin. but it is not as people show and say "China controls bitcoin" that is just bullshit to build FUD on.

For me I think your strategy was quite good enough as it is now. Buying more then holding is not that of a good choice yet since right now the price is high and there is still the possibility that bitcoins price will dump so for me the best strategy right now is what you are currently doing now OP buying at dump and selling at pumps and high prices like what we see now. This ain't the new floor price yet so let's wait for that for it to stabilize at that before buying more again.

The best strategy is to buy and hold. Don't sell unless you absolutely must.

Every coin tucked away offline in a paper wallet reduces the supply available to those who wish to buy, whether it be to actually use them or merely gamble ("trade") with them.

Less supply = higher price.

There are people who buy bitcoins offline,so i can`t agree with this "less supply=higher price" thing.
Bitcoin supply isn`t reduced, the mining continues.Btc demand is increasing.
The buy and hold strategy is the best, but i`m too afraid to hold my bitcoins for a long time.
Anything can happen, someone can hack my wallet or Localbitcoins account or i might forget my password because i`m stupid. Grin

I agree, if you need to sell then sell, but if you can hold then by all means do it, since at the time it seems bitcoin can go in a long rally and it is a good idea to try to be in it for the most time possible.

There is trouble abrewing
in general and after all i have done i always end up buy and hold bitcoin and take some of the profit out.
at this point i think it is a good idea to only buy and hold at least until the ETF fate is determined if it is accepted then good. if not you can sell some then and buy back again with more profit.
