I think the best wallet for altcoin is myetherwallet.com, because it supports ERC20 and is very easy to use and the delivery process of altcoin or ethereum is very fast.

Yes the best part about this wallet is that it support ERC20. Also any one has any idea which is as good as this wallet which also support eh ERC20 tokens. Generally we will get wallets which do support ETH but not ERC20 tokens. And nowadays whatever  airdrops comes they give us ERC20 compatible tokens only.

The best wallet you can use would be a hardware wallet. Period!. Do yourself a favour and purchase a keepkey, trezor or a nano s ledger. Would probaly be your best investment in crypto. You will find alot of these wallets support many alt coins. Next if these wallets dont support your coin, find the released wallet from the official dev team, most likely be a desktop wallet for that specific coin.

Apologies if this has been said elsewhere - New to the game. On advice from lots of forums, bought Ledger Nano S as my hard wallet. Set up was not quite as easy as it looked but there are a few great videos out there that eventually sorted me out. Linked it to MYEtherWallet (MEW) - again, eventually. A HINT - you must use Chrome to set up Ledger AND MEW. Ledger works well for Bitcoin and Ethereum. If you want to store ERC20 tokens, these are NOT stored on the hard wallet. This is where MEW comes in. HOWEVER, MEW has a limited number of tokens it supports (read - addresses that you can send tokens to and from). BE CAREFUL - it is possible to ADD new tokens BUT these are not supported (read - if you send tokens there e.g.. XEM, XVG, MAID) they will not arrive!! They just sit in the ether until you get them cancelled (assuming you can). I am still looking for a wallet that is capable of being up to date with tokens as they appear. Maybe I'm asking too much?

Project  Ethos may be solution for all crypto`s out there. I`m waiting untill it gets released. Until then, MyEtherWallet for ERC-20 and Mycelium for Bitcoin based.
TenX is also good one to look at, for time being is bitcoin compatible only but their devs seem to be developing storage for all the ERC-20 based coins and tokens. Just read this one on their app page at google play. Smiley

Some altcoins come with their own wallets, so for such altcoins, it is best to keep them in wallets made by development team of the coin. But for those coins who are developed on Ethereum blockchain, Myetherwallet is best for them.

I recommend myetherwallet. I also suggest that you do not store everything in one place. use other wallets. Make myetherwallet your main purse Cool

For now, i only got myetherwallet because it's accept erc20 token. Sometimes I ask the coin developer if they have own wallet because safer wallet was created by the coin developer.

Each coin is best to use its own wallet, if the use of third-party combination wallet, your coin is likely to be stolen, third-party wallet is not safe.
